We planted approximately 200 red mangroves to stop soil erosion. It was hard work that would’ve been considerably harder if we didn’t work together as a team. Seeing the trees we planted afterward gave all of us a wonderful sense of accomplishment.

According to my son the tour was fantastic. Unfortunately EF customer service and financial plans leaves a lot to be desired. EF is a for profit company. They are in it for the money, not to help service you as the customer.

This trip is one of the most amazing trips for seeing student growth, making a difference, and having the experience of a lifetime. Students came away from an adventure packed itinerary saying that the service project was their favorite thing they did and they wish they could do more. I loved seeing my students having meaningful experiences that they can cherish for the rest of their lives. I have done this trip twice with students and will be signing up again in the future.
