If I could give this company zero stars…

If I could give this company zero stars then I would. After paying excessively for their service it became apparant that there were only two other possible female applicants in my area. After that I need to travel at least 100 miles!! I wrote to E Harmony but they refused a refund. Needless to say, as they were not fulfilling their side of the contract and the annual subscription was approaching, I e mailed them to cancel They did not respond. Now I have HCM International collection agency chasing me up for payment for 'Premium membership' fee after cancelling. I NEVER had premium membership in the first place. E Harmony are an absolute disgrace. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN I RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY. Think I will let this one go to court and involve the press if they consider it to be of public interest

A scam company, stealing your money and provide no service

I inquired of eHarmony regards cancellation because they had no database of ladies at all, nothing at all within 100km from me - 200km round trip for a chance of a date

Look at Trustpilot other feedback, I wish I had, its clear they do not deliver

there replay is baloney, change ages, change details etc - no such luck - leave options blank and youll find there is no database of ladies

Maybe because you have to sign up to a six-month contract minium ??? - you might have thought that you could have found someone well within that time

Remember all other dating agencies let you sign up for a month and there are a few of these- that's were you money should be and not on EHarmony

They have nothing, no one is using them and they won't refund, even after 48 hours of proving they cannot provide a contracted service

Don't go here, don't waste your money
certainly use PayPal of similar to pay - its seems that most of the UK are making claims on Paypal to recover stolen money taken by eHarmony without authorisation to close my account, although I can prove that I never gave an instruction to delete my account

Positive proof that when I pointed out to E Harmony they knew when I pointed out there breach of contract ie no delivery, they stole over £50 from my account before I cancelled formally

They are liars, they are scammers, they are disliked, they are money grabbing thieves, they have no database to choose from ( other than if you're in cash affluent London)

Simply don't go here
if we do not buy eHarmony services, they have no turn over then they go into liquidation - please lets all try

If I could have given 0 stars I would…

If I could have given 0 stars I would have.
I joined this app and cancelled less than 24 hours later and they still went on to charge me a further 54 pound. I pain a total of £67 for less than 24 hour service. It's a complete scam! They don't tell you the cost of their hidden charges, which they say is their in depth personality profile, which is against the consumer contracts regulations 2013.
Do not be tricked. Find an alternative site that doesn't cost the world.

An absolute con and rip off

An absolute con and rip off. Be very careful when joining EHarmony - before you can view a thing you have to take a subscription. I took the cheapest at £24.99 for a week. Allows very very limited access to anything. After an hour of trying to navigate their very poor site I cancelled the subscription. They then send “teaser” ongoing emails - these tempt you to log back in which I did as I assumed I still had access until the week was up and subsequently cancelled - THIS IS NOT SO! The minute I logged back in I got hit with a “special” price of £65 for my unique personality profile which is “packed with psychological insights relevant to me. HOW ON EARTH - all they have is my name, address, age and hobbies - and now they can analyse me in depth to the value of £130 which is the full price. Absolute rip off. To even message someone you have to upgrade your subscription and then each time you look at anyone they try and sell something else. Money grabbing louts!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
If I was able to leave a ‘no star’ review I would. This site is not the same as it used to be showing you only one person at a time which you either ‘like’ or ‘reject’. Once rejected, there is no way back to take a second look at a person’s profile… absolutely useless!! Avoid at all costs. It’s expensive and not that many people on there… a total waste of money.

TitleMisleading features and unfair "value compensation" fees

Title: Misleading features and unfair "value compensation" fees

"I joined eHarmony specifically for its advertised location filters, but after paying, I found the feature unusable for Berlin. I canceled within 24 hours due to this technical failure, but they kept £65 for a 'Personality Report' that I didn't even ask to be charged for. It feels like a trap: they promise features that don't work and then use their fine print to keep your money. I am reporting this to the Consumer Protection authorities. Prospective users should be very careful."

I would give a 0 if possible

I would give a 0 if possible! Let me just hopefully stop someone from getting ripped off by these scam artists. I purchased 12 months of their regular service. After I'd paid I was presented with a lot of information that I was struggling to understand. It's at this point that they make you tick a box (in order to access your account) and this box is their moment to stop your basic legal right to cancel your subscription within 14 days for digital sales as is UK law. They took 15.99 (£3 added on as I wanted to pay monthly). After gaining access to my account I realized that any potential match was 100+ miles away and I only had the choice of 2 people in my immediate vicinity. I decided that this wasn't for me, sent them and email stating that I wanted to cancel my subscription within 24 hours. A few hours later, I was charged again £49.01 along with an email that stated that because I cancelled the subscription they were charging me £65 for a personality profile (a series of questions that you answer when you set up a FREE account!) Absolutely ridiculous! I've now messaged them twice but they refuse to waive the charges. I've paid through PayPal so I've contacted them and made a complaint. Hopefully, I'll get sorted but they don't listen to UK law or any reason. Steer well clear of this bunch of rip off merchants!

Expensive psychological scammers.

Expensive psychological scammers.
Not only that, but they allow scammers on from all over the world to try and dupe you.
Not a site for normal people. Seemingly most women are either managing directors or sadly have lied on their psychological assessment.

Eharmony is an awful dating app

Eharmony is an awful dating app, I am paying till 2027 no one is local to my area, people are 150 miles away, yet they still “like” my profile, who has the means to travel 150 miles for a first date? I asked if there was anyway I could stop the payments, I was told no, the website is so basic and glitchy it looks like a year 7 IT student has had a crack at creating a website, DO NOT SIGN UP TO EHARMONY

Not a reputable company

I accepted an offer of 60% off for a years subscription. I cancelled after 3 days, within the 14 day cool off period. They took £65 out of £66.72 paid and refunded £1.72. AVOID THIS COMPANY. It’s a vile thing to do.

After signing up for 6 months and not…

After signing up for 6 months and not meeting anyone I cancelled my membership and any auto renewal that was active. Eharmony then proceeded to try and take £468 from my account and have been hounded me by email and threatening bailiffs to pay them this amount even though I cancelled my account months before my subscription ended. Totally shocking behaviour and I recommend never ever using this company again.

Awful

Awful. Don’t waste your money. Ghosting, no replies, weirdos and impossible to cancel subscription. Been on site for 10 months, no dates and no chats that went anywhere. I’m not weird looking btw. Just very disappointed.
