I bought the small 15-button Stream Deck and am really happy with it. Build quality is great, buttons are durable, the software is a bit clunky, but you only set it up once, after that it's just button mashing when you need it. Overall no issues from my side, support is also great.

I recently purchased two Elgato Key Lights to upgrade my streaming setup. While one of them connected seamlessly to the Elgato Control Center app and has worked great—providing excellent, adjustable lighting—the other one has been an absolute nightmare.
Right out of the box, the second light refused to connect. I’ve tried everything: resetting it multiple times, ensuring it’s on the same Wi-Fi network, following every troubleshooting step in the Elgato support guide, and even moving it closer to the router. Nothing works. The app repeatedly throws a “connection failed” error no matter what I do.
It’s incredibly frustrating to spend this much on high-end gear and have only 50% of it function properly. For a product aimed at professionals and content creators, I expected more stability and reliability—especially from a brand like Elgato.
Unless you’re lucky and both units work out of the box, you’re potentially in for a huge headache. I’ll be reaching out to support again, but so far, this experience has been disappointing and time-consuming. Buyer beware.

I spent my money on their EpocCam Pro iOS app a few years ago and now it's been discontinued. I feel scammed and want my money back - the piracy is yet again justified.

Site was misconfigured so veteran discounts weren't working on any single SKU. Asked them afterwards if they could honor the discount or if they could get it to work so I could just buy the prompter. Stuck with a bundle which I didnt need. They didn't take any accountability and I had to keep following up with them after they said they would pass the support ticket up. Shame on them for offering a veteran discount but not actually honoring it.

I purchased the Elgato Facecam about two years ago and noticed right away that my head appeared tilted and distorted, even though I was sitting straight. At the time, I assumed the issue was caused by my camera placement and decided to leave it alone. Since I wasn’t actively using it, I didn’t bother troubleshooting.
Now that I’ve started using it again, I realize that the distortion was never due to the camera's position – it's the camera itself. I tested it in multiple programs (Zoom, Windows Camera, Elgato Camera Hub), and the issue persists. Zoom displays the image slightly better, but the distortion is still visible.
I tried adjusting FOV, zoom, exposure, sharpness, and physical camera positioning, but nothing fully fixed the problem. When I contacted Elgato support, they were unhelpful, simply stating that "there is no lens correction feature" and suggesting generic troubleshooting steps that I had already tried.
For a camera at this price point, I expected better image quality and support. If you’re considering purchasing the Facecam, be aware that it lacks any built-in lens correction, and you may have to use third-party software like OBS just to make the image look normal.
Very disappointing.

Elgato Cam Link 4K - Totally useless device, worked (just about) three times and then packed up. Did not get around to returning this but tried it again some time later and all it does is get hot!! Will NEVER purchase an Elgato product ever again as this cost me £124 from Argos, I might as well have thrown my money away in a bin!! I did not bother trying to contact Elgato as the unit was out of warranty once I discovered the final failure. I replaced it with a far more reliable £12 item from Ebay!

I bought two decks last Christmas and returned one of them. They confirmed they received the deck back but it's already March and still no signs of the refund. Customer support keeps telling me they will send the money back but nothing comes through. I thought it would be fair to let people know. It's a shame as it semeed like a cool company that you'd trust.

Second time buying a 200$ elgato HD 60 x …. This product is absolute trash. I have spent 10s of hours trying to troubleshoot (after the 1st one I bought worked for about a week and then never worked again) - the 2nd one I’ve bought simply does not allow me to stream on any platform, computer, etc. I have tried every different type of cord, system settings, device. Do I have to sacrifice a goat to the Elgato gods for their favor? Did I mistakenly spend 200$ on a 2 week sample of the product after which it shuts itself down? A lay awake at night thinking about Andy Paul doing laps in his pool of liquid gold, chuckling to himself about the idiots who buy his products. If you’re interested in streaming with this product I recommend first doing a test run by dumping legos on floor and walking across them. The experience is the exact same and its much cheaper. Hopefully this review helps!

UPDATE; Elgato sent me an email asking if they could could mark my case settled. I said yes, but I told them I was very disappointed that the item had failed so soon (WiFi chip failure). Support chose to start a claim for me and although I needed to print off a packaging slip and fund the return myself, a new KeyLight has been sent to me.
Old review; I bought an Elgato Keylight which stopped working 2 months after the warranty ran out. I feel that a premium product should last longer than 2 years. Support were helpful, which is why I gave 2 stars.

1. I record with the elgato face cam application and it doesn't record anything. It used to record but not anymore. There is no solution. I deleted it and downloaded it again, still the same.
2. When I touch the table with the mouse, there is an echo-like sound, but I bought a Shure SM7B and tried it there, there is no such thing.
The Elgato 4K X is advertised as an “ultra low latency” device that supports 4K144fps. However upon receiving and testing Elgato’s most expensive capture card, I found that the card introduces 30+ ms of delay in the card’s “passthrough” mode. I made absolute sure to use the latest HDMI 2.1 cables that support up to 8K. This made NO difference. Using this card also caused several issues: I had to reduce my display refresh rate to 120 fps (adding even MORE latency), I could no longer use HDR, and it caused frequent screen tearing. Elgato sure is proud of this card, but I personally have no idea how they still have such a positive reputation considering they are selling 100% pure lies.
They really sell great tools. The stream deck saves me a good amount of time. Well-designed and easy to operate. I can recommend their products.

UPS shipping - beware UK customers. Bought something on Black Friday and had a terrible shipping experience - UPS said they didn't have my flat number but clearly did etc. all their products are sold on Amazon just buy there!
I'm having trouble connecting my elgato telepromter with the elgato facecam pro... Their support isn't helping... Does anyone here can help me? I've done everything, uninstalling the software and re-installing it, re-starting my computer... I don't know what else to do... I wished they had a support phone number... I'm very disappointed at elgato...
Very impressed with being able to get English speak phone support 24x7. The agent that helped me was very knowledgeable and solved my problem quickly.

I'm currently working on a sizable video digitization project and had been looking at video capture devices from various manufacturers. I'd even ordered one from a high end company that failed miserably. Disheartened, I borrowed a friend's Elgato Video Capture and to my surprise it worked immediately with my ancient Sony VHS-C/S-video transport. Before buying my own though, I contacted Elgato's tech support and was surprised to see an immediate response efficiently answering all of my questions. Of The next day though, Apple in their infinite wisdom decided to issue a new OS for my laptop and the Elgato stopped in its tracks. I contacted their tech support and over the next week was stunned to see a steady stream of updates on them working on, then issuing a functioning beta download that worked well. In fact, I was so pleased I asked to contact their Support Mgr and sent a nice note of thanks. Bottom line is that quality tech support in digital products is crucial and Elgato has earned my trust and respect. I'm looking at buying more of their products because I know they'll stand behind them.

I reported an issue with Video Capture 2.07 crashing with new MacOS Secoia 15.0. This was fixed fairly quickly by Elgato with a beta software solution. I’m very happy with the support.

Superb, well designed products are why I buy Elgato. But on the few times I've had a tech issue or product challenge, it's simple and fast to get support.
Great products + great service = Great experience and loyal customer here!
