Elizabeth Sands Beauty School Reviews 

I purchased the Ultimate Gel Nail Bundle and other beauty courses from Elizabeth Sands Beauty School. I want to make it clear: I have not even started the practical course, because after reviewing the manuals and training videos I realised the material is so poor and unprofessional that I wouldn’t dare put this company’s accreditation on my salon wall.

Here are the issues I found before even beginning:

🔹 Outsourced Kits, Not Disclosed
The “Elizabeth Sands” kit I received clearly came from Pro Impressions UK Ltd. On their website, the same items are sold directly under their brand. At no point on the course page was this explained. Tutors also referred to these as if they were “our” products, which gave a misleading impression that they were in-house.

🔹 Errors & Poor Quality in Manuals
The manuals are full of contradictions, mistakes, and filler content. Examples include:
• Incorrect anatomy (e.g. calling the eponychium the cuticle).
• Contradictory contraindications and patch test advice.
• Copy-pasted filler content from random online sources (About.com, Bing).
• Many manuals are extremely short, badly formatted, and missing full application or removal processes.

🔹 Shockingly Poor Video Lessons
The training videos are unfit for purpose:
• Some are less than one minute long, with entire courses totalling around 15 minutes of content.
• Filming is unprofessional, with shadows, shaky camera angles, and distracting background noise (including dogs in the background).
• Demonstrations are incomplete — e.g. applying gel to a single pinky nail instead of a full set.
• Incorrect curing times and rushed, sloppy techniques shown.

🔹 Customer Service
When I raised concerns, I was met with dismissive responses that blamed me rather than addressing the issues. No proper resolution has been offered.

🔹 Accreditation Concerns
I cannot understand how courses with so many errors, unsafe practices, and such poor delivery could have been approved by accreditation bodies. It makes me question the credibility of the entire provider.

⚠️ Final Verdict:
This training is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, and not as described under consumer law. I would not risk my reputation by displaying their certificate in my salon or by using this training as the foundation for professional treatments.

It is also very suspicious that an “award-winning” company with hundreds of students has virtually no negative reviews online, despite my own experience being so poor. A genuine training provider should have a mix of feedback, not just near-perfect scores that don’t match the reality of the course material.

👉 I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for proper, safe, and professional beauty training.

. I am currently awaiting a refund, even though the company’s terms state “no refunds on online courses.” These terms are misleading because under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must still be:
• of satisfactory quality
• fit for purpose
• as described

Their blanket “no refund” policy is in breach of my statutory rights.

Not to mention, when I first left my review, suddenly a wave of positive reviews appeared soon after. Is that just coincidence, or a way to push the ratings up? Either way, it adds to my concern that the overall picture online is not balanced or genuine.

Update on Review

My complaint was handled and resolved within a few days, which I do appreciate, and I was issued a full refund. However, the errors and issues I highlighted in my complaint were not acknowledged or addressed. I was also asked to reconsider my review, but what I wrote remains an honest account of my experience with Elizabeth Sands.

Since then, I have enrolled in another nail course and the difference in both quality and professionalism has been remarkable. The training materials and videos are of a much higher standard, and the customer service has been excellent in comparison.

While the follow-up customer service from Elizabeth Sands was better than my initial experience and I am thankful for the refund, I would still not recommend training with this company.

Just completed my dermaplaning and microneedling course with Elizabeth Sands Beauty School and everyone was very helpful if I had any questions, I was able to purchase my kits from the sit which made everything easier. Would definitely recommended.

I booked on bundles of online courses and have just passed my e-file and my acrylic technician course. I got a kit through with the acrylic and tools to complete the course very quickly. Response to messages in the chat were always answered in a timely manner so I could move forward. I’m looking forward to now completing my gels tech courses.

This course has been amazing on line doing it at my own pace and if I ever need help I can contact the school and I’m replied to straight away the equipment you get is great and you have life long support if your looking to start a beauty career get in touch with Elizabeth Sands Beautu school the absolute best

I recently completed my course with Andrea and i could not be more grateful for the experience. From the 24/7 support to the to just the kindness of Andrea herself, I was able to attain the skills I needed from this course and feel confident in my new qualifications!

I am currently learning with ES. I have been a D.I.Y nail enthusiast since February of this year and have been told I am a natural at it. I have watched Youtube, Instagram and Facebook videos into the 1000's. I am already a qualified Hairstylist of over 20 years and I have never found the passion in it that I have now for nails. I was looking for an affordable course that would enable me to make this my career, and I have found it. The course is a step by step path to my future. I purchased the ultimate nail bundle. I am gradually working my way through the modules. I have already passed several written exams. The videos and manuals are super helpful and informative. They even send you a little kit that helps you get though some of your case studies, so you only have to purchase a few small bits and pieces. I work full time and this course allows me to study whenever I want to. I cannot wait to complete my courses and start my new career. Thank you ES!

After researching various Beauty online courses, I was pleased to come across Elizabeth Sands Beauty school. I found their prices very good compared to others for what the school has to offer, as well as the variety of courses and how established they are along with the numerous outstanding reviews and awards achieved. I am currently navigating a change of career from the Health and social care field in my late 40’s to excitedly learning the skills to become a Beauty therapist and Nail technician. I have just started working through one of the modules under one of the Ultimate bundles and so far it has been very straightforward. Customer service was very quick to respond when I had a query. I think I’ve made the right choice to study under Elizabeth Sands and I am looking forward to this journey in exploring a new chapter.

I really enjoyed the Classic Eyelash Course with Elizabeth Sands Beauty School. It was very detailed, easy to follow, and perfect for building confidence with lash application. The course was well-structured and explained everything clearly. I'm now excited to continue with the Russian and Hybrid lash courses. Highly recommend! Will definitely be doing more courses after completing my lash course.

Amazing company to do courses with. I have done a few now with Elizabeth Sands Beauty School. The courses at in depth and the feedback from the tutors is amazing. Receiving the certificates are quick and easy to access. If you need to get hold of them it's easy to do so. I will be doing some more courses with Elizabeth sands. 100% recommend.
