They only accept positive product and seller reviews. Dishonest company.
We applied to become a seller on eMAG…
We applied to become a seller on eMAG Marketplace and received login credentials to complete registration.
However, after submitting all required information, we have received no communication or updates for more than a week.
A representative from eMAG Bulgaria even called to inform us that they are not responsible for our onboarding and that someone from another department would contact us — which never happened.
This lack of follow-up and transparency is extremely unprofessional for a marketplace of this scale.
Other international platforms such as Amazon or eBay process and communicate with new sellers within hours, not weeks.
If this is how eMAG handles new business partners, it raises serious concerns about the efficiency of their seller management.
We hope eMAG reviews its internal onboarding process to avoid wasting the time of legitimate, experienced businesses willing to work with them.

they accept easily only the positive reviews, 3 to 5 stars. most of 1 and 2 star reviews are not published because of the "guidelines" in fact they want to sell even defective and counterfeit products.
Product defect – reviewing what I received, not what I expected
In general, I don’t have an issue with eMAG as a company, but my recent experience with their review moderation was surprising.
I purchased two chargers from the same seller:
1. One didn’t work at all.
2. The other showed a “Slow charging. Make sure charger is supported and not damaged” message and stopped working after reconnecting. Each time I would connect the charger it would be the message or it would not charge.
I wrote a review describing this experience, but it was removed and labeled as a “complaint.” I believe this kind of moderation limits honest consumer feedback.
I didn’t return the products due to their low cost, but that doesn’t make the experience invalid. I hope eMAG reviews how they handle product feedback in the future.
eMAG allows brand fraud and ignores legitimate sellers!
I’ve been a long-term client and verified seller on eMAG.ro, offering our own officially registered products and brand. Despite selling on the platform for years - and submitting multiple sets of government-issued documents proving we are the sole owners of our brand and products - eMAG continues to allow serious abuses.
1. Our products are being “hijacked” by unrelated sellers who falsely claim to sell the same item at a fraction of our price. The system automatically assigns the “Buy” button to them simply because their price is lower - even though they’re selling a different, fake product.
2. Our intellectual property is being misused - our brand name, logo, and product images are repeatedly used by others to mislead customers. Despite numerous complaints, eMAG responds very slowly or not at all.
It’s clear that the platform prioritizes its own sales volume and commissions at the cost of legitimate sellers or innocent customers.
This approach is going on for years, it is unacceptable and deeply damaging to both honest businesses and the trust of eMAG’s clients.
Worst retail site in Bulgaria and Europe
Worst website to buy stuff. They don’r want to reimburse me even though some of the things in my order came broken.
Then they won’t let me give the merchant a bad review either.
Terrible experience as a seller
We’ve been selling on many marketplaces across Europe for years, but eMAG has easily been the worst of them all. The traffic and sales are extremely low compared to other platforms, but that’s not even the main issue.
We shipped a product to one of eMAG’s customers, who later returned it. Before we even received the return, eMAG refunded the buyer. The parcel never made it back to us, so we lost both the merchandise and the payment. It was a high-value item, and their support team offered no help whatsoever.
This kind of seller treatment is unacceptable. If you value your business, avoid eMAG — they do not protect sellers and you can lose real money.

One of the worst experience ever!!!
One of the worst experience ever. First the creation of an account, is so difficult, that you need a Romanian phone number, which in. my opinion is totally unacceptable to not be able to create an account without a Romanian phone number. Then are the so so many fake products. Not to mention that if you want to request a refund....well good luck and I suggest you to take some chill pills so your nerves don't get destroyed. Stay away from Emag.

Order was returned, they state the courrier called...they did not call. At the end nothing was delivered.
Awful delivery and awful customer support
I can't think of a single reason to buy from this place.
Most of the sellers aren't trust worthy, the chance of getting a product that matches the description is 50/50, almost everytime i get a toy for my nephew i need to send it back because eMag doesn't care if the sellers are actually legit.
If you are unlucky enough to talk to the customer service, you'll be greeted by a useless A.I. If you dare ask to transfer you to an actual human, it will be declined and you'll just stay in limbo answearing the same questions in a loop.
I had Genius this year, i bought both from sellers and directly from eMag and its always late, no one is answearing, they sometimes try to give a 25 RON compensation because that's apparently easier than giving me the service that i payed for.
Most sellers are scammers
Some sellers send defective or incomplete products. The customers service does not exist.
eMAG became the worst online shop…
eMAG became the worst online shop recently. So many fake and unreliable products, that a noname Chinese online shop is more trustworthy now.
Full with scammers, and the worst customer service EVER. (I'm using online shopping since 1996, so when I say this is the worst you can imagine the disappointment.)
Latest scam is an external HDD but it's just a fake usb based controller with a small memory card. So if you start to copy data, it will be LOST and OVERWRITTEN immediately.
I gave one star because it's impossible to give zero.

Disappointing and disgusting .
First of all they change the delivery date as they please, the website algorithm is designed to rob the customers as after viewing a certain product for 2 or 3 times the price increases by 50%.
Customer service is a joke and it is all designed to work against the customer.
If you value your time and money avoid at all costs.
No Ro number - no business
Impossible to have an account without a Romanian phone number. A very archaic and discriminatory policy; I wonder why.
Essentially, you lose a significant amount of business. You should consider firing some of the decision-makers there; they seem clueless.
Bad ratings are banned/removed
Any bad rating for products on their site are banned or deleted, this is unbelievable. How can customers provide a negative review for products that are clearly counterfeited and help other potential customer to not buy them?
