I got a Sandisk hard drive, tried using that vault software. It made me upgrade to "ENC Security" now it freezes every time I use the correct password. Pretty much the worst form of protection you can conceive of. Going to have to wipe disk again.

I had a problem with "invisible files" and Gary from ENC security guided me through many attempts to recover these files. Many attempts have been needed but we succeeded finally. Gary was very, very courageously and friendly - thank you so much for helping!

This software only gave me problems !!

To activate it already was an odyssey and first contact with the hotline. Then lost access to all my files because I tried the 'sync' option, which removed my main files, instead of (as expected) update the vault where they were backed-up. The hotline took so long to answer back that by the time they did I had already solved the issue myself. Their tech-aids are pretty cryptic and it's a miracle to find some help there. To culminate all this issues their support line took literally weeks to solve several issues. They apologize by stating that due to the 'pandemic' theyir support is disrupted. What is disrupted is their approach to a solid customer service.
I strongly DON'T RECOMMEND it and I regret to have bought it.

I don't like the application. It has many problems. I have created a new folder and then try to use in another computer using the option "An existing drive" and the folder is empty, then I tried to use with the original PC and the folder is empty.

Bought ENC's DataVault, downloaded it and installed it. Tried to activate it and it failed. Tried many more times to activate it and it just kept on failing. I know for sure that the email and password is correct for the activation but to make sure I tried with the caps lock on and off....
Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and tried a shed load of more times to activate without success.
I emailed ENC for help and opened a support ticket too. All I have got from them in a week of the first call for help is emails saying they are busy and it may take longer for me to get support.
This is not support, this is getting someone's money and turning your back on them.
I'd like the activation and the software to work but hate the thought that I may have another problem in the future!
So beware the hype, as it seems that is all it is!

They are ridiculous and scammers who took my money in seconds but unable to give me the product which they supposed to deliver, despite sending 7-9 emails yet nobody from their team bother to resolve my issue.
I'm so furious due to their unethical and scamming business practices.

Do NOT buy this terrible product!
After creating a secure folder, the software crashed. When I reloaded the software, the secure folder had vanished! I tried again. Same result. I let customer support know about this; they were completely unhelpful.

Victim of ENCSecurity scam? Here is some information and what you can do....

In June 2021, I bought a Sandisk Portable Extreme SSD from Amazon. During setup, a webpage opened and offered a lifetime license for "unlimited cloud backup" with encryption. The company, ENCSecurity.com advertises clearly "UNLIMITED CLOUD BACKUP" & "OFFICIAL SANDISK PARTNER"...

IT'S A TRICK. The "encryption" is a cheesy program which installs on your computer and provides no cloud backup. It does not work with or have relevance to the Sandisk SSD, which comes with it's own software which includes a desktop encryption service.

ENCSecurity's help section is basically aimed to make you give up. There is NO PHONE NUMBER or company address listed. The help section offers a single email address and a discouraging 4 day reply time estimate.

ENCSecurity offers NO REFUNDS if you "activate". You need to activate in order to find out it's not truly cloud backup/encryption. This leaves victims believing it is easiest to just let the $14.95 go. After all, you violated 14-day refund according to their terms and conditions. This unlawful transaction is like ENCSecurity is filling gallons of milk with undrinkable water on Amazon and then saying you void any refund if you open the milk container. In reality, consumers should contact their authorities and bank who can stop the transaction.

What a silly scam that broke the solid image of Sandisk I have held for 20+ years. I'm returning the SANDISK SSD, disputing transaction with bank.

ENCSecurity operates out of three home computers in Europe. The company is registered to an empty office building which offers mailboxes as Tax Havens in Delaware. It is registered to XXXXXXXXXX (front man/fall guy for team of fraudsters....).

XXXXXXXXX is the stateside accountant who provides clean-at-first-glance Fed/State tax filings for the money stolen from USA Citizens in the ENCSecurity / DataVault fraud scam. XXXXXXXX has a few corporate entities registered across BC/USA used in scams going back at least 3 years.

XXXXXXXXX is a class-A stockholder and one of three managing partner at KILGOUR GASKIN RYCHTOWSKI & CO INC. He has two partners involved in this company who, by all surface appearances, do legitimate accounting for reputable businesses. This mixing in with legitimate business tax filings is one way XXXXXXX keeps illicit ENCSecurity funds flowing from your bank into the pockets of domestic terrorists under the cover of authorities.

Well, I'm just a simple user. I've used the old "EncryptStick" for a number of years and I wanted a new license, so I've signed up for the rebranded version and very happy with it. I only had one mishap with the old license. I received an error message, "There is a problem with this drive. Scan and repair it." So I clicked repair and lost access to the encrypted files. ENC customer service replied very promptly and fixed the problem for me. This is a very simple, easy to use encryption service, and for the very cheap price, I'm not expecting the security of a bank vault. Its been very reliable for my needs.

I have a thumb drive that came with encryption software on it. The website said if I upgraded I could sync. This would imply choosing to keep the thumb drive files the same as files on a computer, presumably with options of how to handle duplicate files. I can't imagine another definition for "Sync". Well, this doesn't actually exist on the upgraded software. The "upgrade" does nothing for me that the free version didn't do.

And, yes, I have contacted support. There was not a problem with the install. The software is just useless. I asked for a refund and was told I couldn't get one because it was activated. OMG! How do I know it's a scam without activating it? Just avoid doing business with this company.

The response was quick and the problem was resolved. It's great.

I have not been able to access anything, they took my money fast enough but have not returned it. Total waste of time.

This company is a complete joke. The idea with an encryption software is to keep your important files secure, not to be locked off from access. I bought a lifetime access, which apparently, (and with no warning whatsoever), expired. Only option is to buy a new license, only to discover after you pay that the new license key is not valid. After countless attempts to contact support still no reply, and you can only contact them via email. Brilliant!!
I do not see any difference between encsecurity and ransomware hackers, however at least with ransomware the bad guys give you an option to pay them if you want your files back, encsecurity does not.
Complete scam, stay far away

encsecurity replies that "minor issues" can arise with the software. It is clear they don't understand the first thing about customer service. It is understandable that software issues can occur, but there is absolutely no effort to assist in resolving the issue. From time to time an automated email is sent saying they have not forgot, that's it.
Interesting they take they time to reply here on trustpilot in the public eye, as for the customer they could not care less as no person actually ever replied to me. It is clear from their reply below that nobody even read my support requests.
So anyway the reality is that the files are gone and I enjoyed a double charge for which I am sure I will never receive a refund.

Their business model:
1.Hey! Purchase a lifetime license and at least you will have a simple and easy way to use encryption software.
2.Problems within the software arise and suddenly you can't access anymore your files, until yo contact their customer service who will tell you how to DIY with some tricks and treats as if all this was a halloween joke, but it will finally work…
3.In a few weeks or months same thing will happen but under a different scenario, yo can't access your files… Support will be less reactive than the first time and will eventually let you recover acces to your vault.
4.Now the "maestro's coup de magie", let's change the whole interface, and even change our name form encrypstick to ENCSECURITY and let's tell all the encripstick users once they cease to have access to their files to purchase the new software if they want to recover their files.
Conclusion
They are very smart people, but they act as mere bandits.
