Extremely bad customer service and not trustable invoicing

My small appartment 34m2 is only occupied maximum 2 times a year for a short period (3 or 4 nights).
ENDESA managed to charge me on my last invoice a consumption of 193 KW during 3 days, not even using heating, airco or kitchen or other machinery.
So this is completely false ! Contacting customer service is very hard, difficult and not at all user friendly from their side. I had to send the NIE registration document again but they have this when my contract was signed in 2017. So, is this professional ?
When I asked for the detailed meter readings per day, they send you a website where you need to register a.o. administrative issues but they do not bother to help you further.
But you still have to pay the invoice, which I did but then in the meantime I get a notification in which they menace to cut you off. Very nice :(
Well for my part, not even 1 star value but 0 value for a very expensive electricity contract and a worthless uncompetent customer service.

94 % bad reviews says it all

94 % bad reviews says it all. I am a client since years but the access to my Client area was stopped. It was impossible to recover my account. During the process they proposed a wrong email address: de********@gu***.com. My phone number and my email address are well known to Endesa, because they send to me correct facturas. So I can indentify me with a combination of email-phone and NIE !
But they want me to send a copy of my NIE document which they have got during registration.
Unfortunately this document is in a folder of my house in Spain and I am now in Germany. Additionally the "service people" were unfriendly and not willing to help me. One star is one star too much!!

I asked Endesa for a quote

I asked Endesa for a quote. I gave them my telephone details and a postcode. They rang me back a few hours later. The first question was which company is your current supplier. I refused to tell them as I didn’t see why it was relevant. They then said goodbye and hung up.

A terrible company in lockstep with…

A terrible company in lockstep with swindlers looking to get referral bonuses. My electric account was changed without my consent by fraudsters.
Endesa wouldn't revise the contract the fraudsters signed me up to and charged me through the nose. Avoid this company at all costs - they are not reputable.

The reason for Spain´s power outage. Probably.

Nothing in my life has prepared me for how incompetent these people are. Their lack of ability to run this company is epically bad.

Being a client of Endesa makes me think that these off grid disaster prepper people actually have a point. I´m pretty sure a diesel powered generator in the backyard would be less hassle, albeit probably quite noisy and polluting.

Just one quick look at their website and you know you are in for hours of pain and frustration. I believe their website was designed and implemented by a few high school students on work experience. But that was back in the late 90´s and they haven´t yet updated it. Probably because if they try to change anything on the back end of the system the whole thing will collapse.

It´s only when you have dealt with Endesa that you can understand how an entire country´s power grid could come to a grinding halt. I´m pretty sure Endesa was to blame. They probably tried to upgrade from FORTRAN or COBOL but couldn´t find anyone who still knows these programming languages.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I went into the office and signed a legal contract for a year in 2024 at a good price. Due to some mix up by endesa they cancelled my contract three months later. They admit they made a mistake but refuse to give me my old contract back. All they want to do is sign me for a new higher price 2025 contract... but not at the best price available.

That best price is only for new customers! I don't get the logic???!! After 30 years will now move to another company.

The automated phone line is horrible

The automated phone line is horrible, and it takes forever to get to an actual person. Then when you do get an opportunity to speak with someone they are impatient and hang up on you when they need to repeat themselves. And they do not offer any support in any other languages except Spanish. Horrible customer service as a whole.

This company overcharged me by 400€…

This company overcharged me by 400€ last March 2024 and they still haven't paid me back. It's almost been a year. I've contacted them 20x already, and explained my situation again and again, and no one has helped me at all. Some of the agents were nice and said I need to be refunded and they'll put out a complain and I just needed to wait for a resolution, but I never got refunded. Others gave me bullshit answers basically saying that everything has been rectified, when it's obvious that it has not. I strongly urge everyone to not contract this company. Their customer support service is a joke, no support given whatsoever. Plus, they offer you the most expensive plans and tell you it's 'discounted', when in reality, there are other cheaper plans! Terrible!

Mindset of Endesa, Electric/Gas. Supplier. Spain

The business mindset of Endesa the Electrical & Gas Supplier to your home’s in Spain. Here is a company who do not understand their own business profile, in simplistic terminology, they are the suppliers of energy and the clients are the customers who pay for this service. However, 10th December 2022, I became a client, not through choice, but having purchased a new property, I took over the supply from the previous owners. To date, Endesa have not supplied a bill, nor provided a contract number, so unable to utilise their online client area for any help or advice, but most importantly to be able to view my personal consumption and costs. My only aim and objective is to pay my bill in a timely manner and not be a debtor. Over the past two months, I have contacted Endesa Customer Service Department on six occasions, each time a different customer representative, but the common denominator between each representative is that they cannot provide the total consumption used and cost to their client or even generate an estimated bill. However I am repeatedly assured and provided with a date when the payment will be taken by direct debit from my personal bank account, then I can use the client area to review and adjust if need be my personal consumption. These dates expire, I telephone Endesa Customer Service, Why? because I want to pay my bill. It’s the way I do my business, it’s a commonsense approach.so I believe. Endesa representative then go further and provide communication of gross misrepresentation. They state when a bill is generated and it could still take months, you can defer payment for two months. However they take payment by direct debit. So that choice is obsolete, but is it correct business practice to place their customers into debt through no fault of their own. Unfortunately I have tried to seek a satisfactory resolve, I have even endured an Endesa Customer Service Representative hang up on me twice, because I question their business acumen. My only solution to ensure the debt does not vastly increase, is to switch companies, hoping that I receive the professionalism in customer relations from another supplier.
