Fussy gym goer is impressed
I’m really fussy with gyms so joining a new one is a big step for me. I decided to join energie and I’m so glad I did. The staff make an effort every time to chat to me (they don’t even look at the screen and remember my name) and ask me how I’m finding the place. The only downfall is it’s missing a few machines I loved elsewhere but I can improvise. It’s clean and everyone is adhering to social distancing.

Independent, locally run, brilliant gym
I've been a member of a variety of gyms in my lifetime. Usually the large corporate ones, big chains etc. I've now been a member of Energise Fitness Cardiff for a few weeks and I can't believe the difference. The approach taken by staff is so client centred. I've never before experienced PT's or staff members correcting people's techniques, for free, if they spot something isn't done quite right. It's reassuring to know that. I've personally had advice to correct a problem with elbow mobility and the PT explain the why and how. All staff members are approachable and there's always a smiling, friendly face.
Under the current Covid restrictions, the gym clean and never too busy due to their limits on numbers attending. I'd highly recommend this gym.

The equipment available is wide in…
The equipment available is wide in variety and is new and clean. It would be preferable to have a sprint treadmill and an assault bike. I do not like the fact there is not separate male and female changing and I do not like the concept of the joint shower and changing room in the individual cubicles. Showers that remain on until turned off would be better and with temperate control.

I am so grateful for the St Mellons…
I am so grateful for the St Mellons gym! It’s given me a new lease of exercise life. All I’ve ever done is run & in the winter, it wasn’t ideal due to asthma making me wheeze after 30 mins of running in the cold. Now I don’t have to worry about it! I can exercise in the warm & dry & also be safe by not running in the dark.
It’s been challenging learning how to use the equipment, new exercises & a new routine but I love going to the gym. I also enjoy the zoom classes in my own home.
The staff are helpful & friendly when you need to know how to use a weights machine.

Staff are very helpful and always there to help. Equipment is fab, very clean and new.

Hi Hassan, I contacted you as you cancelled your direct debit to politely request some feedback. You said my gym doesn't have enough equipment. I asked if possible if you could let me know what equipment I could order to improve the gym. You explained you can't get to the gym anymore as your friend can't give you a lift anymore and you called me a silly desperate pathetic man to call people who cancelled. I'm sorry you feel that way however I was politely looking for some feedback. I feel your review is a little unfair on that basis

Love this gym, best one I've been too! All the staff are fab and are always there to offer a help in hand. Staff have a great work attitude, always smiling and always looking for feedback and ways to improve.
Gym is always spotless, with a friendly vibe.. All equipment there is new, well looked after.
