Great environment to train in

Great environment to train in, have a wide range of equipment to train with, been training here for nearly 9 months now and its been a great journey so far. The massage beds after the workout are a game changer 👍

Had an awesome first week at this gym

Had an awesome first week at this gym! The staff are fantastic, super friendly and helpful. The equipment selection is top-notch — they’ve got everything you could possibly need.

I also really appreciate the massage beds for post-workout recovery, and having GSN meals available is such a convenient bonus.

The boxing yard is super well-organized and efficient too 💪

Warm & welcoming, however…

Very warm & welcoming environment with staff willing to go above & beyond to make you feel comfortable if you have queries.

I do question the position of the manager Ravi, as I’ve seen online that he has a history of CONVICTED abusive behaviour towards women. As much as it is a great gym, having someone in a gym environment around young women who has a history of abuse is questionable on whoever hired him & allowing him to stay.

PT’s Amani & Jahmelia are always very accommodating & happy to answer any questions you may have.

Ravi needs to go go GO ASAP.

1-1 session with reepa

Did a 1-1 session with Reepa and it was amazing, he pushes you to get the most out of your session however he still took note of my level. I found his coaching style to be great and the knowledge he had to be fantastic

I've been going to this gym for a few…

I've been going to this gym for a few years now, and I used to really enjoy it. However, the manager, Rav, made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I often noticed him watching me from a distance, which I initially brushed off — until one day, he approached me while I was doing squats.

He got very close, offered unsolicited advice, and began speaking in a low voice while standing behind me. What shocked me most was when he started rubbing against me. I immediately asked him to step back, but he refused. At that point, I left the gym and have not returned since.

This experience ruined what used to be a great gym for me. I hope management takes issues like this seriously in the future.

I’ve been training at this place for 2…

I’ve been training at this place for 2 years now. In all that time the owner has never spoken to me once. Apart from today. He asked me to leave an online review, so here it is. The gym itself is quite small but decently kitted out. There’s not a huge variety of machinery there, but it has always been possible to get a decent workout. You need to get in and out reasonably early though as it’s not great in ‘rush hour’. When there is a class on, the music is so loud you cannot hear yourself think, it’s awful. Even with top of the range noise cancelling headphones on, their music completely drowns out anything I’m trying to listen to. When they have a DJ on it’s even worse, and even with earplugs it’s impossible to be in there. Apart from one female member of staff, who I think is named Jay. She’s lovely. The rest of the counter staff, and personal trainers are the most miserable bunch of people I’ve ever met. Most of the time they look through you and don’t even acknowledge your existence.

All staff great other than actual manager.

The gym is alright, good variety of equipment and machines. Manager is extremely loud and obnoxius. Talks like a child and shouts very, very loudly. Phrases such as "no diddy" - completely out of context, with no relevance to any situation whatsoever, "big man ting, meet me outside" - as a threat to others in the least intimidating and stuttering , unsure of himself voice and body language known to mankind. Just the other day I was working out and heard him shout extremely loudly "trap set", and flailing himself around like a 7 year old in front of the camera. This is the kind of behaviour I expect from an immature teenager, not an adult who is the manager of a gym. He just seems to be the type of person who is extremely insecure and unsure of himself and feels the need to constantly shout and move around to try and validate himself and become the centre of attention. Another time I heard him trying to convince some people that he is 6 foot 1, when he is 5 foot 10 or 11 with his thick soled shoes on, like the review below me stated. It is hilarious to me that everyone else notices the exact same things about him and his mannerisms and picks up on the subtle aspects of his demeanor and how it reflects of his personality.

Now moving on to the other parts. Showers often have hair in them and quite often smell bad. Toilets, a lot of the time have no toilet roll and well, to put it frankly, are seldom fully clean no matter what time of day I visit. There is a culture of men approaching women and making them uncomfortable and while that isn't affecting myself, it is just a bit concerning to watch; but then again knowing who the manager of the gym is, this is barely surprising as I have seen him trouble other members trying to work out and later heard members mocking and making fun of him with faces of disgust after he walks away. I have witnessed this happen at least 3 times. I hear people talking/ laughing about him all the time in the gym when he is not there because of his childish antics (not in a funny or cute way, but just an extremely cringey and annoying way).

Ravi, if you are reading this, please have some respect for yourself and try to act professionally. You are a grown adult who is the manager of a gym, not a 16 year old who is new to the gym. Conduct yourself with professionalism, and treat the gym like a workplace not like a nightclub when you want and then army barracks at other time, at your convenience.

Other staff members - Jet, Maarcus, Jahmelia, Biplav, Luke - all lovely individuals. In my personal opinion every other staff member I have seen or spoken to is a lot more professional and mature than the actual manager, and much more deserving of being the manager than Ravi but that's just my opinion. I have never interacted with or been inspired enough to write a review about a manager of a gym ever before but my goodness, this person is just extremely annoying and cringe, and I couldn't help but voice my thoughts and the funny thing is every single individual is echoing my exact statements in the reviews below and also in the gym when he is not there; illustrating the way this person acts. There is nothing like it. I am soon cancelling my membership and joining elsewhere, i'm sick of this guy and I cannot believe I am leaving due to a staff member but I dread having to bare witness to him every time I enter even though there is no interaction.

Good gym equipment, poor manager

This gym facility wise is not bad, very small and you have to wait a fair while to get your machine in peak time. However, the equipment quality is quite good.

Here's the key issue though, the current manager. In my opinion he is poor, rubs a lot of people up the wrong way. It's becoming a common theme that a lot of members have been saying to me as well.

He is definitely not a popular person in the gym and is the key contributor to the bad vibe. He's not been a good person in the past, I've heard he was removed from JD and foundry because of his past criminal activity. He's not a good person right now from my own experience either.

So I would definitely recommend boycotting this gym because of the manager if you are a current member and do not join if you were thinking of doing so.

Review your mananger …

I joined the gym based on others reviews, initially I joined and the gym has a lovely friendly atmosphere. It felt like a proper little community of people together here for their own wellbeing and mental health. However, over the last few months the energy seems to have changed.
The manager Ravi concerns me, the way he feels he needs to run this gym and dictate to this staff whilst they are communicating with the public is undermining and unprofessional. Ravi makes up the rules and implements them as he sees fit in the gym which is also a concern. When Ravi is addressed about issues or concerns he seems to brush them off because he seems uncertain on how to manage members of the public but then will behave in a way that can be seen intimidating. Rather than addressing issues and being restorative in a way to make his members feel comfortable to return to the gym he would rather behave in a way to continue to fracture relationships and have members leave the gym. In regard to this gym and franchise I think there needs to be a direct HR person to be contacted. Being contacted by a gym manager who somewhat is not in touch with law and legislation adequately beyond the policies needed for the gym is going to cause somewhat of an issue if this man’s behaviour continues the way it does. I also do not believe this is a manager who should be following up with complaints because my concern is they are really reaching an appropriate person above, because if they were I can assure you his position would be reconsidered in what was a welcoming, friendly gym.

Leaving due to the man(child)ager Ravi

Leaving due to the man(child)ager Ravi

I have been visiting this gym for a long time but enough is enough and a line must be drawn somewhere. Now i'm used to men coming up to me and starting conversations but most of them keep it respectful. The last person you would expect to feel disturbed by is the manager. He has short hair, is about 5 feet 11 inches in his thick soled boots, has crowded and chipped teeth; and has a beard with a lot of beard pen paint just so you know who this individual is. I have read the reviews here and it seems like this is a re-occurring issue but initially the manager Ravi asked me for my number as the gym system had lost it, which I thought was weird but accepted and next thing I know he is texting me for pictures of my feet saying that they must be sore from the heavy weights I lifted. Are you being serious? I would heavily advise to avoid this gym due to this creep. I have discussed this with other women and they have shared similar experiences and that he is a prolific foot fetishist, stating that he offers them free personal training in return for positive reviews about him on TrustPilot and Google. I have overheard him asking staff to write good reviews about him too as part of their job, so I would take any positive Raviews with a grain of salt.

Terrible manager

The manager, I believe his name is Ravi, has completely destroyed the great atmosphere this gym used to have. I used to love coming here, but sadly I’ve had to leave and go elsewhere. The manager would constantly stare at me, flirt and would ask for my number. After I dismissed his advances, he got extremely hostile towards me and left me feeling unsafe. I’ve also witnessed him being hostile towards other staff members.
