Very bad support agents they never help, I asked for a discount explaining difficulties in budget, they were inconsiderate and didn't help at all, there human agent is worse than AI agent.
Don't subscribe they don't deserve it nor thier content,

Envato, years ago, was a wonderful resource. Recently, however, it is the opposite. As a graphic artist and web designer, I had purchased many of their assets for my clients. Now... I have spent over three weeks (and still counting) trying to simply get them to let me back into my account after a few years away, and an email change they refuse to update without a litany of impossible hoops to jump through. That's insane. Honestly, though, after I shopped around, I've found that competitive sites offer far better products, so I guess it's "a sign" and I'm better off not helping them make more money. I do feel bad for their contributors, tho. Some of them were quite stellar, and I suspect they are equally frustrated with Envato's downward trend.

Bait and Switch. They advertise $16.50 a month then charge you for the full year at $198.00

The copyright system is complicated, even though you have a license, it does not guarantee that you will not be affected by copyright.

I purchased easy pos, I spent a lot of time trying to open the program with no luck. I contacted Envato multiple times for help there was no help. I asked for refund multiple times and never received a refund. I would never work with Envato

I used to love Themeforest and Envato but a recent experience has made me want to warn anyone and everyone off using this platform to purchase themes.

1. I purchased a theme as well as extended support. The theme didn't work, so I contacted the theme support for assistance. No actual support was provided, and I got into a dispute with the theme authors. I posted warnings about their products on the platform and Themeforest has DELETED my review of the product completely, even though I have screenshots evidencing the issues and the author's refusal to give me the tech support I paid for.

Themeforest did not contact me AT ALL to find out my side of the story as the paying customer and simply DELETED my product review.

2. In utter desperation - because I was trying to launch a July 4th sale on my website two days before the holiday - I bought ANOTHER theme. That theme didn't work either and the theme's tech support couldn't figure out what the issue was and so I had to buy a THIRD theme.

I am not only utterly DISGUSTED by Themeforest's policy of simply deleting verified buyer product reviews without any investigation, but one can't even rely on their platform to sell themes that actually work.

Not only a ENORMOUS loss of my time as a small business owner, but I completely missed the July 4th sale opportunity thanks to this atrocious situation and that cost me a small fortune in lost revenue and stock that I now cannot sell.

DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM IF YOU NEED RELIABILITY AND FAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I decided to just give us a quick try to see whether it was something that would be worth looking into purchasing. I wanted to as a duck Rescuer get it to generate a humorous video Showing the conflict between the fact that most Ducks deal with fear it is there God given right to peck at Me, But also feel it as a God given right to have me feed them how's them? And do anything else that they need or want LOL. However, after rephrasing it half a dozen times I still could not get it to generate the video I wanted as every single time it told me that something I had said was breaching Google's AI terms and conditions. I had no swear words in there. I had no references to any celebrities or real people. I had nothing in there that would imply that my video was any known person or even non-Duck or anything else that I can possibly think of and I do have experience with prompting AI, that would breach terms and conditions however it just wouldn't until I finally shortened my prompt down into a one sentence prompt that didn't really describe what I wanted and my "video "was a generated cartoon image of some Ducks with speech bubbles and the speech double bubbles contained nonsense text, (I.e. like most AI it didn't have any ability to generate an actual piece of text that contained legitimate words in English or any other language just garble). If it had been capable of generating some videos that were remotely useful to me I might have considered paying the $16 or a month to subscribe but based on this experience what I can even ask it to generate is severely limited and I was not trying to get it to generate anything remotely dodgy And what it did generate was worse than what I can get from my ChatGPT which is worth the money I pay for it. In my opinion a lot more work needed for this to be a useful tool for me. I gave it two stars and not one because it did generate images of actual Ducks, Though they had to be cartoon as apparently asking for a realistic image of a duck also breach their rules but that is literally the only thing it got right.

I purchased a WordPress theme (CleanMate by QuanticaLabs) through Envato Market, based on its demo and product description. Unfortunately, several key features did not work as advertised.

When I reached out to the author’s “support,” I was directed to outdated blog posts and received no actual solution. Despite providing evidence that the product didn’t function as promised, Envato refused my refund request.

The biggest disappointment was that Envato’s support system seems designed to protect sellers rather than buyers. If a seller claims “support” but only sends irrelevant or outdated content, there’s little recourse.

I would caution buyers: carefully research not only the product but the author’s recent support activity, and be aware that even if your purchase doesn’t work as described, you may not get a refund.

I signed up for the Individual, pay monthly plan. My account shows I've been charged annually though!

I will have to rate this company ZERO stars. Their support policies mentioned allowance for refunds/goodwill gestures. But according to them, once you download an asset, they will not refund or look at a goodwill refund. Even though it does mention a refund can be applied if you didnt find the content you were looking for, which is the same in my case. I contacted their support and i would not use this company again unfortunately and do not recommend anyone else.

This product gets the job done, but it's a pretty subpar experience and definitely overpriced. The biggest issue is its flawed keyword search. For example, I just searched "someone turning off a light" for a stock video and I got 2 videos of a light turning off and on and then a video of someone on a laptop in their living room. What's the relevance? It's just because the title might share one keyword like "someone" so it shows all videos with that in the title or in the keywords, even though it's not even a little bit relevant to my search. The more you search, the less relevant the results become. When it comes to stock video, you'll find way better alternatives out there. This service seems to offer only two or three usable videos per search; the rest is just irrelevant and nonsensical. So even though it says they might have millions of stock videos, their search method might never allow me to find the one you need.

While you can still manage to create something with their resources if you've already bought in, I'd strongly recommend against purchasing if you're still considering it. There are much better and more affordable options available elsewhere.

This company is a SCAM. I purchased many themes and I had issues with most of them. Right now I cannot edit my site because the theme is broken. When I posted a negative review that didn't violate their policies, they removed it because they know that negative reviews will cause people not to buy and they won't make money so they remove reviews which is a shady business practice in itself. When I complained, they blocked my account. My partner created a new account and purchased a theme. The theme DID NOT WORK FROM DAY ONE! Finally, the author fixed it, now months later it's broken again and I can't edit it, causing me to have to rebuild the site over. I CONTACTED ENVATO FOUR TIMES. They NEVER RESPONDED. I contacted the author three times, they asked me for permission to view the site AND NEVER RESPONDED.

Update: Here’s their solution to solve a dispute, they close the ticket. Wow! Just wow!

I bought a Premiere template. The template didn't work in the current version of Premiere. The link to the tutorial was broken. I asked for a refund. That began a string of emails supposedly trying to get it to work. I've lost even more money with my wasted time! Just refund it! It doesn't work! I just wanted a refund because it's useless to me. Nope, I'm out $36 and nothing to show for it. Never again will I purchase something from Envato.

How DARE you charge me a full annual subscription for 2 PATHETIC HOURS of usage? This is pure and simple FRAUD!
Your commercial terms are a DISGRACE and constitute unfair practices that I will NOT tolerate for one more second.

More and more scams on Envato from subpar sellers. Non-existent support. We will no longer purchase from them due to their negligence in protecting buyers. The refund process is useless so disputing charges will be necessary. The website is atrocious to navigate. They don't even provide a 'Support Ticket' system so you don't know if they actually received your support request and don't have any way to track it. We purchased an e-mail template and never received it. The seller doesn't answer any contact requests. Every other comment for the seller is "Seller never activates the purchase" but Envato does nothing to suspend the seller.

I purchased a theme from an author called Shtheme on Envato Market — and it turned out to be a frustrating experience. The theme package was missing a critical file, which meant I couldn't publish the website on time, causing unnecessary disruption to my project.
I initially raised the issue on June 19th, clearly identifying the error message and specifying which file was missing. Despite this, the author continued to disregard the actual problem and instead insisted on rechecking everything from their side, repeatedly asking for FTP access, which only prolonged the matter unnecessarily.

I shared the required login credentials twice to assist with a quicker resolution—yet I still have not received the missing file or any meaningful support. Subsequent emails have gone unanswered, and no progress has been made.

I also reached out to the Envato Help Center, which informed me the matter would be reviewed within five working days. Unfortunately, I need a solution today, not at some point next week.

Perhaps at this point, it’s just a waiting game to see who responds slower—Envato or its author. Fingers crossed someone breaks the tie soon, ideally by actually resolving the issue rather than prolonging it further.

The templates are mostly out of date, Some don't even exist anymore. not worth the money at all.

They confirmed there was zero usage for over 24 months yet only refunded 2 months. This is not only unreasonable but borders on unethical business practice—charging a user for two years without use and then refusing a full refund despite clear evidence.

Either don't become a member or be prepared to have to report this pattern of behavior to relevant consumer protection authorities as well as multiple online review platforms.
