Envato affiliates program: Run away.

My experience about the affiliate program:
After a nightmare to subscribe with their partner "Impact".. I have made a sale to one of my costumers. Just to test the affiliate program.

1- No sale was added to my account.
2- Contacted Envato several times (to several teams)
3- After two weeks (and counting) I still do not have a response.
4- I have made a sale that I could have done it sending my costumer to other service and lost a commission.

So, based on my experience... Envato's affiliates program is something to keep away from. If you need to make sales for a company, choose one that respects you.

shame on Envato

shame on Envato – They’re PROTECTING Developers and SILENCING Honest Feedback!

I’ve been using Envato for YEARS – ThemeForest, CodeCanyon, Envato Elements – you name it. Over time, I’ve bought countless themes, plugins, and snippets of code. And while I’ve had my fair share of BAD purchases, I used to think Envato had my back. They’d help here and there, and I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt.

But this? This is the final straw.

Last year, I bought a plugin that flat-out NEVER WORKED. I got busy, found an alternative, and moved on. But I HATE wasting money – especially on garbage that never functioned as advertised. So recently, I gave it another shot since it had been updated. Guess what? STILL BROKEN.

So I did what any responsible buyer would do – I left a NEGATIVE REVIEW to warn others. And what does Envato do?

THEY REMOVED MY REVIEW.

Why? Because it’s been “more than six months” since I bought the plugin.

Are you kidding me?! Since when does the TRUTH have an expiration date? How is that even remotely fair? That plugin is still for sale, still broken, but because I waited too long, my HONEST experience doesn’t matter?!

This is absolutely disgraceful. It explains why so many broken, outdated, and worthless plugins on Envato still have glowing reviews – because ENVATO DELETES THE ONES THAT TELL THE TRUTH.

You CANNOT trust the reviews on Envato. Period.

I never thought I’d say this, but I’m seriously rethinking every future purchase I might have made there. If they’re silencing valid criticism and protecting shady developers, then they’ve lost my trust.

Shame on you, Envato.

Valued Platform, Unfair Currency Impact

I’ve been a loyal Envato customer for over 15 years, having first created an account on behalf of the company I worked for at the time—well before the introduction of the subscription model. Over the years, Envato has remained a go-to resource for quality digital assets, and I’ve always appreciated the value they provide.

However, as my annual subscription approaches renewal, for the first time I’m seriously reconsidering. The primary reason is the platform’s continued use of USD-only pricing, which has become increasingly difficult to justify given the ongoing depreciation of the Australian dollar. While currency fluctuations have always been a factor, recent economic shifts have made the conversion rate significantly less manageable.

It would be beneficial for long-standing platforms like Envato to offer local currency support—particularly for markets like Australia—much like Adobe and Microsoft do. This would help ensure pricing feels fair and transparent for international customers, rather than placing an additional financial burden at checkout.

I used this website and thought it their transitions would add a great touch to my video. After buying, I had to redownload the first transitions 3 times and the other transitions didn’t work at all. Sending them an email. They said they could refund me because I download items, after I told them it didn’t work and showing the screenshots of the error message. They still didn’t refund me the $40 I pay to subscribe. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS WEBSITE, they are SCAMMERS and don’t offer any free trial for you to even test out the items to make sure the work. Please be careful with this site.

What's the point of putting 'negative' reviews on products that 'deserve' them if the same Envato administrators delete the reviews on the products? I'm sorry but you lost a 'company' with several future projects, now I understand the negative comments around CodeCan(t)ion.

Multiple support issues, finally gave up.

Purchased a business directory theme and an add-on. Had numerous problems, starting with a defect that required a fix from support. However, other errors kept cropping up, so I gave up on that theme.

Found a directory theme from ThemeForest, couldn't even get it activated, even though I was entering the purchase activation code correctly. Followed all instructions, could not get the theme properly activated. Then found that ThemeForest is an Envato offering/vendor.

In both cases, multiple attempts to get themes up and running required multiple support contacts and dragged out over time. Gave up, couldn't get a refund.

Money taken, nonexistent customer service, and unjustified account blocks.

I have two Envato accounts, used separately for professional and billing purposes. I purchased templates (paying with my credit card), but when I needed to retrieve my license numbers, both accounts were suddenly blocked without any clear explanation. Envato took the payment from my card, but I cannot access the products I’ve paid for!

Customer support is virtually non-existent: the only response I received to my tickets (#3840224 and #3840647) was the usual boilerplate reply that they’re experiencing a high volume of inquiries. In another instance, they asked me to write from the same email used for my account… ironically, I had opened the ticket from that exact email address, and they responded to that same address asking which one I was using! Absurd.

In short: both my accounts are blocked, nobody seems interested in resolving the issue, and they’ve taken my money. A disappointing customer service experience that remains unresolved. One star is generous.

additional charges

I purchased the "Atura - Nail & Beauty Salon WordPress Theme" from Envato, which was listed at $69, but I ended up paying over $85 after additional charges. Unfortunately, the demo import feature does not work at all. I wasted many hours trying to get it to work, and after researching online, I found many other users had the same issue with the demo import not functioning.

I reached out to their support team by opening a ticket, but I never received any response. After getting frustrated, I initiated a refund request through PayPal, but I have not received any money back. To make matters worse, my account has now been blocked.

This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this theme or the seller to anyone. Be cautious before purchasing, as it seems like a scam with poor support and no resolution for technical issues.

Wrost services and support system.Unable to access my account

There are many reasons behind rating only a star. It's been a weird experience using my Envato pro account. I purchased a subscription for one year from 2023 to 2024. In 2024, I changed my mind, and I did not want to go with that subscription. In this way, I was okay with removing my card from that account. Unfortunately, the Envato team automatically deducted the subscription amount for next year, 2024 to 2025.
Then I decided to go with that loss, and I started using my account, but 3 months ago, I found an error. Account was not signing in properly, even password and user name was correct.
It's a thing that really hurts!!
A million-dollar company with cents worth of a support system. Envato should learn from the GoDaddy support system.
Many months are remaining, and I am unable to use my product.

Interestingly website to get a lot of different resources. What I am like is not only video stock here which is good but also audio and I can use it :)
What you have is different like some of them maybe 1 minute or some maybe short and here I can say you can finded anything that you need.
Best is of course opening videes and if you have some product or another idea you need opening video for it.

Envato & Porto Theme: Systematic Review Suppression & Shocking Customer Abuse

I am writing this after two separate agents from Envato (the latest being Lena W. from so-called "Author Support") have deliberately removed my legitimate 1-star review of the Porto WooCommerce Theme. The review was factual, evidenced, and based on a deeply frustrating experience as a paying customer.

This isn’t just about one theme. It’s about Envato systematically silencing negative feedback to protect sellers and manipulate buyer perception.

My experience with the Porto theme:
Critical bugs out of the box—image import errors, Slider Revolution glitches, and a forced “Edit Header” overlay that can’t be disabled.

Support is virtually non-existent. Tickets take days, if answered at all.

When they respond, they send copy-pasted nonsense that doesn’t even address the issues. I was repeatedly told to “check settings” that had already been ruled out.

At one point, support admitted they were using false identities—Agent X responds under Account Y, and then Person Z follows up with no transparency. Why lie about who is helping me?

They even suggested I request a refund in exchange for removing my review. That is blatant review manipulation.

I contacted Envato multiple times, and each time they sided with the seller—removing my review without warning or providing justification. Lena W. is now the second agent to do this, which tells me this is a platform-wide practice, not a one-off error.

It’s clear that:

Envato prioritizes seller protection over consumer honesty.

They violate UK and EU consumer protection laws by censoring real feedback and aiding deceptive sales practices.

Buyers are deliberately misled by a curated wall of 5-star reviews, with any dissent removed quietly in the background.

WARNING:
Do not trust the reviews on Envato/ThemeForest. If you see only glowing reviews, it’s likely because people like me had theirs deleted for telling the truth.

I’ll be reporting Envato and this seller to:

International consumer protection agencies

If you care about your time, your money, and transparency—avoid Envato, and avoid the Porto theme. Unless you enjoy debugging broken templates while being ghosted by “support.”

The licenses they offer are not valid.

I downloaded a song and its license. Fast forward, my content goes live. I got a copyright strike because Elite Alliance Music didnt release the rights for the song. I reached to customer service. ENVATO said that they were going to talk with them, two weeks goes by, I had to remove my content, and ENVATO just said that they did their best, that I should reach out directly to them.

Worst site to count on regarding music.

Great costumer support

I've created my Envato account for some elements for a video. Fast forward, 3-4 months later I forgot about it, but they kept billing my account, so I reached out to the costumer service.

I did receive a very welcoming answer and within a week, I got the refund for the last payment and the billing plan was stopped.

I read, that some people mentioned a bad costumer service and that nobody answered them. Well it was different in my case.

Shoutout to Sophia Miller from the costumer service-team!! Thanks a lot!
