After complaining SmartScan s/w is faulty they spend 2 wks asking questions, like "what version are you using?". That's after being told it was downloaded from the Epson website. If they don't know w... See more

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Machine faulty, out of warranty, wanted half the cost of the machine for a repair. Refused to accept consumer regulations. Customer service follow up is awful. Never got a formal response and had to keep chasing!!

Superb Epson customer support
Following yesterday's complaint to Trustpilot I have had an amazing response from Jean in Epson complaints and from Phil at the Epson service centre, it appears that somehow I wrongly installed some subscription based driver software that was charging me approx £110 per year for driver updates when in fact Epson support don't charge any extra for setup assistance. I sincerely apologise to Epson for wrongfully doubting them and I would certainly recommend them for their aftersales support of their XP-4200 multifunction printer etc.

Scam and misleading costumers not…
Scam and misleading costumers not following policy. Subscription for inc is same cons as actual inc . Scam scam scam , costumer service are bad very very bad not trained properly just sad situation.
Beware 38% price increase on ink plan
38% increase in monthly subscription fees from 1St May......don't think so, so whilst it's been good to use genuine inks for 5 years, I'm now off to one that accepts compatibles instead on principle. Rip off .
Greedy Epson Subscription
I got the ink subscription last year, I got the first month of product but my circumstances changed after a death in the family so I haven’t reached the threshold of ink used to receive product since. I contacted Epson support asking to cancel my subscription but also for somewhat of a refund as I have only ever had 1 piece of product in over a year.
They said no, which I think is disgusting. They do not care about circumstances and are more than happen to collect your money without you receiving anything. They even seem to have postponed the cancellation of my subscription even though they had every piece of information needed just so they could collect another months money.
Con artists
Paid £2.99 a month for a long time, I don't print much so have only received one set of cartridges...eventually cancelled the subscription and the printer stopped working!! Contacted support and was told I need to use different cartridges since my account was no longer active. I can assure you i have more than covered the cost of those cartridges, not to mention the waste...a company that preaches their 'environmental vision'. Absolute joke, don't buy from these con artists. Printer isn't great either (that's when it worked).

Would never buy an Epson printer again, ink usage is a massive scam
I bought an Epson XP-4155 from Currys a couple of years ago for home use. Despite actually using the printer very occasionally and printing in greyscale only, it eats coloured inks, with the effect that over the two years I've probably spent something like £400 in replacement inks. I previously had an HP printer for many years for business use, and never ever used anywhere near this amount of inks. Would never buy an Epson again.
Poor Quality Printers
So issue with my printer making big marks on the paper, contacted Epson and followed their instructions of doing a number of print-head cleaning etc. Still faulty and Epson agreed to replace withing 48 hrs, I thoght this was a good service but the printer they sent made 10x more marks on the paper than The one I sent back, also asked them for supply of ink but they said was sent with 80% full tank. Had more than that when sent mine back, not as though its costing them any money.
Just waiting on update now to see what they are going to do about this replacement printer but I would not buy Epson ever again, should have look at these reviews first, big company with 1 star got to be something wrong?
Completely and utterly useless and unhelpful
Completely and utterly useless and unhelpful support. even though I only purchased the printer only a few weeks ago, trying to get some help with connection problems whilst under warranty led to multiple emails from people who sounded like robots – and probably are. Never again will I ever buy an Epson printer and would advise others not to do so
Laziest customer service I've ever experienced
Seriously, AI is more helpful than the team here. I don't even get the point of their customer service when thye never even try to help, but just refer you to documents you can find yourself without emailing them. It's shockingly bad. My product is okay but had I known of thos poor service I would never have bought it. With all redundancies happening and AI taking I'm shocked they have staff they pay as they only seem to be ablw to send link to documents.
Update: After putting in a complaint about their service it actually gets even worse. They're not even attempting to help and it's been a week of me being behind in my business because they're stalling the whole process and doing anything to avoid answering. It's shocking.
Worst customer care I have experienced
Worst customer care I have experienced. If you have an Epson printer which goes wrong after 30 days you are expected to accept a refurbished replacement which could be much older than your original printer. How can that be fair or justified? When said replacement arrives and is also found to be faulty, they expect you to continue going through the replacement process until you get a machine that works.. I have received 2 printers with worse faults than the original and one with such old firmware it was too old to update! They call this "Quality Assured", you just don't get the quality. Disgraceful service and appalling attitudes don't help either. If you reply to them they ignore any points you make and continue with the "Quality Assured Replacement" rhetoric. You can't even call it service. Once they have your cash, they simply don’t and won’t see reason.
ReadyPrint subscription
The inks supplied with the subscription do not come with a best before date. Epson user manual says that best practice is to use the ink within there best before date and 6 months after opening but with no date on the subscription inks you have no way of knowing how old they are. Also currently you only get new inks with the subscription when the cartridges only have 20% ink in them but with the lowest subscriptions (10 pages per month) you don't use up inks in 6 months and are forced to use them for a lot longer before you'll qualify for new ones. Only get the subscription if you don't mind using out of date inks.
Rubbish Software and firmware processes
I dont knw how or who designs the software for the updates GRRR
My Epson XP 6100, supposedly needed an update for its firm ware. I clicked NO because it has caused so many hassles in the past. This printer is over 6 years old! Have they still not sorted out what it should do?
I came back after a few minutes and even though I had said NO, the update had started and it need me to accept conditions. the update process went round and round and I ended up accepting their conditions 4 BL00DY times.Even though the scanner update had been selected, it decided that it needed to do it one more time. It was checking for updates 3 times!!!!!!! UTTER RUBBISH
Good printer, but cash back is a SCAM/FRAUD
Am shocked (but increasingly not surprised) at how many people complain about this. I bought an Epson printer with a £75 cash back and suffered lots of obfuscation, requests to resubmit etc. In my case, it's a request for an unobstructed photo of the serial number label on the box, which I can't deliver because another sticker partially obscures it. The serial number is already submitted so it's pure denying and in substance this is a MARKETING FRAUD
Et 2780
Et 2780
Does what it should....but scan. Won't scan to win 11. Won't scan on pixel 9.
Even worse customer service.
Will return it to Currys and go back to hp
Absolute junk
Absolute junk. These printers are useless. You spend an hour getting the print driver to finally work (or end up using a third party driver), and then it prints with lines missing - whole lines of text. The ink is extortionate, and half the time they won't let you use third party ink, so you're forced to buy the Epson ink at twice the price. It's a con. Don't buy an Epson printer.
