I wouldn't give this company a star…

I wouldn't give this company a star however I have to.
I live in a block of flats and all the flats where I live are owned by the same company but all of a sudden ESPEL have put up signs to say we will be fined £100 if we don't have a permit.
Now I have been parking in the same parking area for the last 5 years and nothing has ever been mentioned before. It is only one block of flats that have been given permision to park there cars here. I spoke to a Man who works for ESPEL and his attitude was lets just say NOT PROFESIONAL. I definatley wouldn't recomend this company.

Very poor experience with ES Parking Enforcement. I was issued a charge despite the payment machine not working, which was completely outside of my control. Despite this, enforcement was still pursued, causing unnecessary stress and frustration.

Attempts to resolve the issue through their complaints process were largely ineffective, with delayed and unhelpful responses over several weeks.

In contrast, Holmes Mill in Clitheroe were excellent and resolved the matter on my behalf, something ES Parking Enforcement failed to do.

It’s also worth noting that many other reviews report similar issues. It’s hard to believe that so many customers could be wrong, which suggests a wider problem.

Overall, the process feels unfair and lacking in accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, as resolving any dispute is likely to be stressful and time-consuming.

An absolute disgrace!

An absolute disgrace!

The way this company operates needs to be investigated.

'Diabolical' is the only word which springs to mind - all others are non-publishable.

Should be minus 100

Should be minus - 100, not only one star.
Today I saw in Horley, next to the post office, Morrison's store, and across from the restaurant, a parking enforcement officer issued a ticket. The problem is that it didn't have a Blue Badge, but car belonged to two elderly people with walking difficulties and limited mobility.

Extra Slimy Parking Enforcers

If you're looking for a feeble company to automate scamming your customers, these could be the guys for you. Genuinely no better than what you'd get from a scam call centre overseas that hide behind computers and try to catch you unawares.

Their sole purpose seems to be to catch people out, using the DVLA, solicitors and courts to actually perform the shakedowns, and they represent quite a lot about what's bad about modern day living in England.

con artist!!!!
ticketed for not parking in a marked bay.
I was parked in a bay that had no notice to suggest it was a loading bay or a no park zone.
The vehicle was running and my partner was in it. It was literally stationary for less than 2 mins in said bay

I didn't want to give 1 star but had to…

I didn't want to give 1 star but had to so I could start a review. I am shock at the business practice of this company. We took my 21 year old son out for dinner. My 78 year old mother transcribed the license plate wrong and they booted her car after 10 minutes! My boyfriend sat in the car with my mom to wait for the boot to be removed for over an hour.. it really ruined our night. We called right away to let them know of the error and they still charged $75 in addition to the $7 parking fee. We have been trying to dispute and explain the situation but nobody seems to think this was a legitimate excuse for the error. We were not trying to take advantage of them but they certainly took advantage of us. This is terrible business management and my mom deserves a refund!
On top of it this exact company pulled something similar a few years ago. We were at a concert and my boyfriend tried for the last 30 minutes to update our paid parking on line and got hit w another $75 parking fine for a $7 spot!why can't they chage another $7 for the hour and not $75. That's when it becomes a ripoff and illegal business tactics that needs to be stopped!

Awful

Awful, scamming company. Issued a PCN for ‘not being parked in a designated bay’ despite the area my car being parked in marked with lines. NO hatching or signs to say no parking in this particular space! Appealed and surprise surprise, rejected by both ESP and The IAS who are as much use as a chocolate tea pot. I have multiple emails from them stating that I owe £100 and despite this, I get a final demand, again, I email and am told I have until 31-12-24 and that the final amount owed is £100 by that date. Log in today (26-12-24) to pay and I get a message that this has now been passed to a debt recovery agency. Good luck with that, I have all the emails and will take my own legal action. Awful company that doesn’t seem to know it’s ar*e from its elbow with the comms it sends out via email. Can’t even get through to a human being in the phone line to discuss. If you work for a company like this, you’ve got to be one of life’s little cretins.

“Beware of This Company

“Beware of This Company – Exploiting Loopholes to Scam Honest Customers”

I am shocked that a company like this can operate legally in the UK. It seems they’ve found loopholes to exploit, taking advantage of honest people who simply want fair and transparent service. I hope the national ombudsman looks into this and holds them accountable, as they continue to scam customers without any regard for ethics or honesty.

If you’re reading this, be warned. The practices of this company seem designed to mislead and take advantage. The government needs to intervene to prevent them from continuing to deceive consumers in such an underhanded way. I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to look elsewhere and avoid the hassle and frustration.

Collecting daughter who works at Greggs on their car park, and get fined!!

I was waiting in a layby outside Greggs to collect my daughter from work (Greggs), engine switched on and never left the vehicle, her shift finished at 12pm and they photographed my vehicle at 12.03, and said i was not in a parking bay! i did not need a parking bay as i was not parking on the car park, i was passing through collecting my daughter, I appealed and no surprise immediately rejected. The Greggs outlet is on their car park! so i now cannot collect my child without being fined? Also the photo of my car was taken from another parked car and not from their CCTV, they sit in wait on the car park, absolute appalling!! and then threaten if you appeal further they will charge you the full amount, that is blackmail!!

I received a parking fine from this…

I received a parking fine from this company, on the grounds that I did not display it on the windscreen, I had purchased a ticket and displayed it clearly in the drivers side window, due to my inability to stretch over to the windscreen cause by my mobility issues brought on by my cancer treatment. If the attendant had done his job properly and looked around the vehicle he would of seen the ticket. I appealed the notice on these grounds but to no surprise the appeal was rejected. I will never use the carpark again, es parking enforcement are no more than robbers and thevies preying on vulnerable people such as myself.

Honest friendly organisation

I volunteer at a local church, and when I received a PCN, I immediately pointed this out that I am a volunteer, Gill the volunteer coordinator contacted them. They waived the fee. Brilliant friendly organisation. Often speak to the guy who hands out the tickets, he always comes in to check that no one has forgotten to display a ticket. So really good organisation and Fair.

Money grabbers

I had a blue badge and I parked in an area for 8-9 minutes, never gave me any tickets or warnings beforehand. Within the last week I have received two £100 fines just for "not parking in a designated space"? Absolutely ridiculous! The person who gave me one of the charge notices was sitting in their car as well one time as I was shopping nearby... this is disgusting. Money grabbers...

Forgot to display my resident parking permit due to an emergency and received a ticket next morning. Appealed with explanation and proof of parking permit however, they showed no mercy whatsoever. Very inhumane
