Potentially great, but flawed product

Essential Nails provide potentially great courses for aspiring nail techs, the product really is a great innovation - other than a lot of hidden extra charges (I paid £130 on top of £630 for a basic Acrylic course) and a DVD not updated since the mid 1990s. However my main disappointment was that after not completing my course with EN - my email enquiry (and follow up email) about a partial refund was ignored. It would have been nice to receive a response, after spending approx £750 on products from the company. I also note that many other customers have given feedback regarding the course materials, both costs & the fact they need updating, and EN has not responded to feedback by making changes. It troubles me greatly that this company don’t listen to their customers who pay a very high price for their products & service

I can’t recommend Essential Nails…

I can’t recommend Essential Nails enough! They give unlimited support when you need it on their courses and their own brand of Gelaze gel polishes are amazing, so easy to work with 😁

I 'qualified in sculptured acrylic…

I 'qualified in sculptured acrylic nails over 10 years ago, however the certificate turned out to be fake.. I was gutted. I decided to try again with essential nail course and opted for the sculptured since that's what I know. The staff where friendly and there is always someone on the live chat to help. The course however I am not over impressed with! The practice hand is a great idea however so difficult to use and I'm experienced! The reusable forms are rubbish and make the task even harder, I ended up using my own sculpting forms in the end. In my original course I was taught sculptured nails, maintenance, soak off, infill, some 3d art, tip overlays and how to fit forms to nails which are difficult. Essential nails doesn't cover any of that in the course I paid hundreds for! The DVD which came just showed sculpting 5 nails and how to paint them correctly. Maintenance is covered in a separate course for more money. I was expecting alot from this course but was quite disappointed. Maybe since I already know how to do nails I found it easy but I don't feel it covers enough ground. In the course booklet the sculpting course comes under 'for skilled and experienced' so i was expecting so much more. The book that comes for your theory has alot of information in it regarding products, contra indications, chemicals and storage etc. I found it very difficult using the practice hand even with experience so can only.imagine how frustrating a learner will get. Overall I'll get my qualification and thankfully my original course taught me the rest. They do offer the opportunity to keep submitting your work which is a plus for me because it may take a few tries to get it perfect and it takes the pressure off.

Great

The reason I like essential nails is that the courses are reasonably priced
Found the staff are always willing to help Also that you can complete the course in your own time and at your own pace and even if you fail the first time you still get a chance to resit it as many times as you need to pass and it doesn't cost any extra which with some companies are.

Best decision I ever made.....

I was very worried when I started my journey with Essential Nails about how genuine they were but they are amazing. I now run my own self employed business from home and am racking up my certifications. The best decision I made last year. Thank you Essential Nails. 💅🏼 Xx
