About Account Verification

Verification in eToro will take approximately up to 5 business days if all the required documents are submitted.

During this time our teams will be going over the details and documents that have been submitted to make sure we verify your account according to the latest regulatory requirements.

Should we require any further information, we will be sending you an email to the registered email address with the required additions. These might include any issues with the documents submitted like a lack of details, or a problem with the eligibility of the document.

On Deposits at eToro

Deposits on eToro are divided into instant payment methods and ones that might take longer like a Bank Transfer.

Instant payments like Credit Card, e-wallets and others will appear immediately on your eToro account.

Other methods might take several business days to arrive depending on the payment provider chosen. When sending a Bank Transfer, please make sure to take the bank details from the eToro platform according to the chosen currency.

Key points on Withdrawals at eToro

Withdrawals at eToro have a flat fee of $5 USD. *Except in the USA where we do NOT charge a withdrawal fee.

A withdrawal in eToro has 2 stages. Once received, the request to withdraw will be processed by our teams within 2 business days.

Following the processing, a withdrawal will take an additional 3-8 business days until the funds arrive to the used method of payment.

It is important to note that this time period depends entirely on the payment service provider.

Emails will be sent at both stages confirming the request was received, that the withdrawal has been processed and to which method of payment it was withdrawn.

All about Trading/Market Disruptions

Trading disruptions are situations in which markets cease to function regularly, usually defined by fast and extensive movements in the market. There is no one specific reason for this - they can derive from unusual trading (such as a crash or a pump) or physical threats to the stock market.

No matter what the case is, trading disruptions are a result of the unusual conditions in the market, which can cause panic and disruptions to trading.

Why you might not be able to open or close a position during a market disruption

  1. Lack of liquidity, or inability to receive pricing from our liquidity providers
  2. A stock might be halted by the exchange
  3. Inability to open SELL positions due to an asset being “unborrowable”
  4. An unborrowable asset is an asset that won’t be lent out to short-sellers, which might happen when there is no one willing to lend out the asset.
  5. On eToro, the SELL side is not available when the asset is unborrowable.

  6. Extreme volatility on different asset types.

In general, when an asset is not available during halting periods, set order rates that are triggered (Stop Loss, Take Profit) during the halt will be executed on the next available executable rate when trading resumes.

Outstanding event

I have been trading with etero for the last 5 years. I got invited to a boxing event at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium by my account manager Thomas Williams he was an outstanding host and introduced me to some great people. Brilliant event for networking and meeting like minded people that are involved in trading. Also getting invited to this event made me feel like a valued client. An enhanced football day

The experience was great. Insightful speaches and High quality service. It was as a good opportunity to integrate and know a bit more about e-Toro. The quiz was a good idea. The close-out with a win form AZ against Heerenveen in an exciting game couldnt be better.

Great Palace comeback

The food was great. Really interesting conversations had with other investors and informative chats with the account managers too. It helped that Palace won with an impressive comeback. We all cheered as the etoro advertisements appeared round the stadium too

Football Event through Etoro

I had a fantastic experience attending the football event. Everything was exceptionally well organised from start to finish, and it really made the whole day stress-free and enjoyable.

A big thank you to Emily for taking care of all the details — it was clear a lot of thought and effort went into making sure everything ran smoothly. I also really appreciated the warm and friendly communication throughout, and it was great to have a nice chat as well.

I got back home without any issues, and overall the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable event experience. Looking forward to the next one!

Solid experience and standout support team

I’ve been using eToro for a while now and I’m really happy with it. The platform is easy to use, and the copy trading feature is a great way to get started or pick up new ideas.

What stood out most to me is the customer support. The replies felt personal and actually helpful – not like the usual copy-paste answers you get from the regular help desk or "open a ticket-service". That makes a big difference.

Spreads can be a bit higher sometimes, but overall it’s a very strong platform and I’d definitely recommend it.

Deposited Into an etoro cash isa , funds took two full working days to appear then one week later the cash isa is worth less than what I deposited into it .How the heck can a cash isa devalue , avoid this company if you value your money.

Terrible company and platform

Terrible company and platform, with an AI Bot assistant that is zero help, wait days for a response, wait weeks for trades and withdrawals, this company cannot keep up with the requests so you lose out financially because of etorro, so I choose to withdraw my funds and close my account and guess what the platform wont let me close my account and thje bot asks me to go to settings and close my account, absolute joke of a platform use a more credible platform AVOID ETORRO. My account is now closed

clown show

opened a cash ISA in the 6th set up payment transfer from my bank.. waited 4 days nothing.
Transferred funds from my bank account into my eToro GB account which cleared immediately.. tried to transfer into ISA. couldn't do that as have to be transferred from bank. which I'd already tried. sent the money bank to my bank account.. nothings been sent, spoke to the eToro clown customer service, they said it can take up to 5 days. read the small print, stick to what you know, this company is a joke.

AI, poor service and menagerie of failings

Logged into eToro to withdraw a percentage of funds, I was unable to select an alternative method of withdrawal. The system provided no secondary option but refused to send it to my Gibraltarian bank account. I contacted Customer Support only to be met with wall upon wall of AI that constantly told me that I should just 'miraculously' select an alternative method of withdrawal. Frustrated, I registered a complaint, only for them to reiterate what AI had said and then - to add insult to injury - they send this gem of a canned response:

"At this time, we will be marking your case as Solved. However, if you feel that your queries still need to be addressed, please reply to this email and we will get back to you as soon as possible"

And in response, I would like to point the following out:

This is a complaint, not a query. The issue is not solved. Appropriate help or advice was not even given - simply a canned response flinging knives into the dark. I would not have reached out or lodged a complaint if ANY of the previously stated options were available.

1. There is no drop down menu to select an alternative method (happy to provide screenshots if needed)
2. I have available funds and I have closed every position given this questionable situation.
3. I’ve utilised both the app, and several devices in an attempt to withdraw the funds without success.
4. Your ‘Customer Care Consultant' (AI) indicated that Gibraltar bank accounts are not supported on the eToro platform.
5. Marking the case as solved when it clearly hasn’t been is beyond poor service, and falls catastrophically short of TCF principles.
6. It is ludicrous solely relying on an AI bot to manage your clients, who at times have invested heavily and monetarily into risk and your brand.

I'm just thankful that my fund was small, and the only thing I wasted was almost <6 years of my time and loyalty.

Update (19 April 2026) - Status: Unresolved and almost laughable at this stage.

They contacted me when I posted the negative review. I got excited as it seemed that they had humans employed.

Alas, they decided that it would be best to discuss the withdrawal process (again), asked me to PROVE that I had deposited money into my eToro account from my Gibraltar Bank Account, and then asked if I have Revolut or Wise. I do not… I have the bank account which is linked to the account.

I had to pull records for 2022 but I managed to locate the deposit and sent them their ‘proof’…. Only for them to ignore me and my singular follow up email for a week.

In conclusion, the silence continues, the madness persists, and AI may have convinced me I was actually speaking to a human.

Update (28 April 2026): The matter has been resolved and the funds have been refunded. The funds should reflect in my account within five (5) days.

I find the etoro App overly complicated

I find the etoro App overly complicated. I’ve been trying for 3 days to open a cash isa. I’ve now had multiple accounts and passwords used. When I have got into the account I can’t find ISA’s anywhere it’s just investing. I tried their so called Ai agent and after a few questions was told I have to subscribe to ask more questions. This is a joke I’ll now put my money elsewhere.
