I bought a pair of ETQ sneakers expecting the quality you'd associate with the price tag. After very limited wear, the shoes started showing damage that clearly wasn't normal for a product at this price point. I reached out to customer service with photos to raise a warranty claim.
The response was that they couldn't help because I cleaned the shoes with a mild, gentle soap instead of their proprietary Cleaning Kit. According to ETQ, using anything other than their own cleaning product voids the warranty.
Let that sink in. The only way your warranty stays valid is if you buy an extra product from them. Use any other gentle soap, the kind any reasonable person would use on a pair of shoes, and you're on your own.
There was no inspection, no real assessment, just an assumption that the soap caused the issue and a flat refusal of any replacement, refund or voucher. Under EU consumer law the burden of proof for misuse is on the seller, but they didn't engage with that at all.
I won't be buying from ETQ again. If you're considering them, just know that the warranty is essentially conditional on buying their cleaning products and any issue, however genuine, will be blamed on you.

We would like to clarify one important point, as our previous communication may have created the wrong impression. Your warranty is not conditional on buying or using ETQ’s own Cleaning Kit. That is not our policy. We recommend our own care products because we know they are suitable for the materials we use, but a suitable leather or sneaker care product from another brand can also be used.
The issue in this case is that the shoes were cleaned with soap. Even when soap is mild or gentle, it is not always suitable for natural materials such as premium nappa leather. Regular soap can affect the finish, dry out the leather or cause discoloration, especially on a white leather upper with a treated surface.
We reviewed the information and photos you shared. Based on that assessment, we could not identify a production defect such as loose stitching, material separation, a construction issue or damage that clearly points to a fault in the product itself. The visible mark appeared after cleaning and was consistent with a reaction in the leather finish.
For that reason, we were not able to approve the case as a warranty claim or offer a refund, replacement or voucher. We understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, but our decision was based on the material assessment and the care information provided, not on whether you used an ETQ product specifically.
We appreciate your feedback and understand that this has affected your trust in us. We will take your comments into account when reviewing how we communicate care advice and warranty decisions more clearly.

The customer experience started off really well, I submitted a warranty claim as my shoe got a hole because of a sharp edge of a broken protective structure inside the heel. They responded quickly and were polite. That did not last.
I sent pictures showing that the overall condition of the shoe is great and that they were indeed sparingly used.
They confirmed the defect and offered a highly inconvenient solution where I was supposed to take the shoe to a local cobbler and save the receipt for reimbursement.
Obviously, I declined and asked for a refund (or even replacement) instead as it won’t be an easy fix and that’s not practical solution.
Since declining their initial offer they started to ignore me, they have not responded to my last emails and gone completely silent for days.
An absolute joke.

Clean style
I discovered this brand online recently. Out of curiosity I checked out the website and was struck by the clean, refined style.
I decided to buy a pair of sneakers and they're exactly like in the photos. Plus, the materials are high quality.
I'm happy with them and I'll definitely be buying several more pairs of shoes. As soon as I wear them, I'll be telling my friends about this brand because they're beautiful both aesthetically and in terms of quality.

ETQ charged me CHF 25 shipping cost + CHF 30 to return + 38.30 customs fees... for a product I sent back...!
ETQ charged me CHF 25 shipping cost. Unfortunately the shoes were sizing small therefore I had to return them. They ask me another CHF 30 to send them back.
The original product cost was CHF 178. What a robbery!
Don't order any product of ETQ Amsterdam.
Edit: and it got worse after I received an extra CHF 38.30 to pay for customs fees...
ETQ... You deliver the worst experience it can be for Swiss customers.
By the way, if shipping to Switzerland is not something you can afford, just don't do it instead of indulging this experience.

Shipping to Switzerland involves higher transport and customs related costs because it is outside the EU, and return shipping from Switzerland is also more expensive for that reason. Great purchase!
Just picked up a pair of ETQ shoes and I’m seriously impressed. The quality is excellent — really clean design, super comfortable right out of the box, and they go with pretty much anything. You can tell the materials are premium and the craftsmanship is solid. Definitely one of those pairs that feels like it’ll last a long time. Highly recommend if you like minimal, well-made sneakers.

Great products, room for improvement
The quality of their products is excellent, no doubt about it. However, sizing and the exchange process could be improved. I ordered a size 39 (which fits me in about 95% of my shoes), but it turned out to be too small. While they do offer free exchanges, you’re responsible for returning the original pair yourself. Shipping from Spain to the Netherlands is both inconvenient and relatively expensive (around €20).
I’ve already received the replacement pair, but even going one size up, they still feel somewhat small.
