BigBlu big hype

BigBlu big hype. Charlatans frankly. Paying £83 a month for patchy service and constantly being pinged to upgrade. No chance. Shambolic

If only BT could get their act together!!!

If I could give them a zero I would

If I could give them a zero I would , but 1 star is the lowest that you can give them. They are 1 of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. The service stopped working after a short while but we had stopped using it anyway as it was not fit for purpose . Redicucously high ping rate ( because its Satelite, but that's not explained when taking out ) and a totally unrealistic download limit, you have to pay big bucks for a realistic download allowance. So we ended up paying for nothing and unfortunately locked into a 2 year contract instead of a 12 month like most companies . Please avoid and if you go ahead and it all goes horribly wrong dont say I didn't tell you . PS . I'm based in Ireland maybe other countries are better .

Avoid at all costs...

I can say without fear of contradiction that this is undoubtedly the worst company i have ever had the misfortune to have come into contact with. Its is a shame I can't offer zero stars. After an extended period of terrible access and continual requests for assistance - all ignored, I eventually cancelled my contract in Jan 18 and asked for my account to be deleted. In March I noticed that 2 more monthly payments had been taken from my account. After numerous attempts and several hours of calls I was assured the issue would be resolved. Liars! I took the issue to my bank manager who was extremely helpful and with the assistance of my credit card provider, recovered the two overpayments and cancelled the automatic payment. Today i have received an outstanding bill for 363.56 (doesn't say which currency and I am in Spain). The bill covers the period from 1 May to Sep. So the account billing was reactivated even after my bank had cancelled and recovered my over charging. I note with some dismay also, that my account and personal details are still active on the Bigblu customer portal after having been assured my details would be deleted. This company's customer service (if it can be called that) is shambolic, its business ethics seriously questionable and its approach to customers personal data appalling. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs!

good reception

I live in France and we moved to a more remote area. Orange internet clocked in at under half meg per second so we decided to use satelite internet. After much research we homed in on Europasat. Installed it ourselves and after some tinkering around everything was tuned in. Apart from atmospherics (thunder and lightning we receive a good signal and can stream all our programmes. And, because the network is private there is no need to harness a vpn.
All in allI would recommend this company.

Useless and incompetent, with highly questionable business ethics.

I contacted Europasat with a view to setting up a fixed and mobile broadband service to use at home and in my motorhome. Everything was fine until it came to the bit where I needed an iLNB.
Yes, they had them available and yes, they would sell me one.
I asked for the details of the available iLNBs, eventually got the details and the information and stated my preferred option.
Reaction? 'Oh, you can't have that one. We are keeping them for spares.'
So why did you give me the option in the first place - Chris?
I quoted my second option from the list. An hour or so later my wife took the call to say all was well, the iLNB delivery was being made ready and would we pay for it, please. She did so, on the spot.
DPD started sending emails to say they were delivering a package and it duly arrived.
When I opened the box, I got a shock.
Inside was an ancient, ratty, beaten up old iLNB, nothing like the one I opted for, 1/4 of the power of the one I thought I was getting - and ridiculously overpriced at the £95 we paid.
No amount of requests for an explanation produced anything other than platitudes, promises of 'I will look into it', etc, etc. I never even got an answer regarding its serviceability and suitability for the job.
Not surprisingly, a request for details of Europasat's complaints procedure produced absolutely no response at all - did it, Brenda.
It would appear that they were effectively the same company that I dealt with when I had a Satellite service for broadband in my previous home.
I wish I'd known. They started out quite good but before long the service and technical support turned into an absolute disaster.
So, now I'm stuck with a £95 fishing weight and a company who respond to NOTHING - unless it's an offer to pay them some money.
Unless you have money to waste, DO NOT GO NEAR Europasat!
They offer the world up to the point where they take your money - and that's the end of that!
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Terrible Terrible Terrible !!

Terrible Terrible Terrible !!! You will be lucky to connect to the Internet a couple of hours here and there. You will be waiting on hold Up to 30 mins most days, I have never been on hold for less than 20 mins and today I have rang 3 times and every time we get to 20mins on hold it will say call back as we are busy and the line goes dead. Frustrating. I am a carer for a disabled gentleman who doesn't have any speech and the account is in his name so after the 4th call today I finally got through only to be told they cant discus anything with me as I am not the account holder, even though I have always talked on his behalf when they were Tooway and when they were Europa. They then said my disabled client must send an email to give consent for me to speak on his behalf, I said slight problem we haven't got Internet to send email that's why we are ringing you in the first place?? "well we cant help you then". I now have to get my client up out of bed, dressed, into wheelchair, in to car take him to library to send an email to give consent then we will be coming back to start the prosses again. Shambles. Its not like I want to get into his bank accounts I just want to tell you his internet isn't working.

I can begin to tell you how bad this…

I can begin to tell you how bad this company is.
Very quick to sell you a service that is inadequate.Promise you the Earth
and do not deliver. For the money they charge you per month, you would expect 5 star service. No Chance

Getting through to someone in customer service can be close to impossible.Expect wait times of 30-60 mins or no answer.
I suggest if you need to have a satellite broadband SELL YOUR HOUSE and move
COMPLETE DISGRACE

Complete shambles of a company

Complete shambles of a company, cancelled my contract a few months back and they still insist on emailing me every month and trying to take money from my account. Really fed up with europasat and the service they provide is certainly not worth the price they charge! Also absolutely horrendous customer service.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company.

I used Europasat to set up satellite internet at my holiday home in France. I had to chase several times over a week after receiving the equipment to set up the installation appointment. Despite a good speed test, I am unable to log in remotely to my work account nor can I stream online content without considerable buffering every few minutes. I am attempting to cancel the service and they want to charge for someone to come and take down the satellite and disconnect the cables as well as the cost of posting the 20kg of equipment back to them. The cancellation is well within the 14 day cooling off period and the company is refusing to accept that the service is not working.

Very good satellite internet service.

I found this a very good satellite internet service within the physical restrictions imposed by having to use satellite internet. Compared with a French satellite service I used previously I found Europasat good value and reliable with helpful call-centre staff. Recommended.

Do not use Europasat, get a 4G LTE Router instead

As expressed many time by fellow suffers, do not use this company.

After months of awful service, waiting hours on the phone for technical help after the latest Modem packed up, and very slow speed I closed my account in December 2017, but Europasat continued taking payments into January and February, nearly £80’s worth, I had to contact my credit card company to get the money back as they blatantly did everything they could not to return the cash.

There is supposedly a bloke called Tom in their finance department who was suppouse to be handling my refund was never available and never phoned me back, I think he is a phantom of Europasat’s imagination.

If you are rural and need the internet, buy a 4G LTE Router, its really simply and it works as long as you can get a mobile phone signal. I get on average 4mps, not brilliant I know, but it works, looking into getting a signal booster to improve the speed.

You will need a Data Sim Card from someone like Vodafone, 50gb for £30 pay as you go, if you live in France then French Telecom can supply the router they call Flybox and 100gb Sim card for about €35 a month

Anybody want to buy a Satellite Dish, as I will never use Europasat ever again.

5 stars isn't enough. Excellent staff, service and equipment.

I have been with Europasat (originally Onwave) since November 2011. From the time they installed the equipment to the present day the services has been excellent. They provided me with broadband when none of the other well know providers/satellite companies could. 5 stars isn't enough. Excellent staff, service and equipment.

Thank you Europasat

A deeply distressing adventure with Europasat

Hi,
Very sorry to have to relate so bad an experience I had with Europasat/Tooway! Shortly : Contract signed on Nov. 25th. 2017, full kit delivered on 25th. Installation fully done by myself, including the building of a strong mast in order to fix the heavy aerial on the facade of my house on Dec.28th. and the "coarse pointing " strictly done under the instructions provided .Laptop connected to make the fine pointing : nothing on the screen . A call is made to the retailer (impossible to get Europasat technical support using the phone Nr. provided) and I get a technician by callback some 45 mn. later . After a 56mn. of various instructions, and having had to reset the modem,I finally get the screen showing the strengh of the signal : -3db. ! and the tone given by the head of the aerial is : bip bip , ! New call to ask for help from the technical support of Europasat : The technician can't find the reason of the problem and proposed to send an other modem and aerial head;it will take eight days this time to be delivered this new kit . I spend again time to replace the reception stuff : No result at all ! New ask for help , which is again given through the phone by the same technician who can't sort out the problem ! And, finally, he proposed me to send somebody to sort out the problem at my own expense ! Totally unacceptable ! A while after I send them a letter requesting them to send the right people to sort out the problem and at their own expense . I 'll never receive any answer to my demande. This "adventure" has last for now more than three months I have benn investing myself (some 15 hours of work)) and my money at no result at all ! distressfull and shamefull !
Hving read other bad comments from other patrons of Europasat pointing out that the strengh of the signal lessens gradually all along the time of use, I suspect them to broadcast about nothing now : this would be the explaination of my concerns.
Of course, I sent them a regitered letter on March 2nd to cancell the contract, ask to be fully refunded of the money they took on my account and a proposition for "an honest " compasation to be settle by March 15th. And, of course , if they ignore my last demand, I'll sue them for several reasons : no providing of the promised thing ,volontarily hiding details which could have discourage the consumer to sign a contract with them . If needed you can get in touch by Email to : guymar1066@gmail. com

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! We have had months and months of sheer hell. Service never worked, finally after months of chasing we got refunded. Now they wont release the confirmation that the government grant we used to enable us to get rural broadband, has been repaid. Without this we are held hostage to them as we cannot get broadband with anyone else. They are keeping this grant money illegally. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use them, I do not want anyone else to have to endure the stress we have had with this company.
