No Complimentary wine

Recently flew back from Bangkok to LHR Economy and enjoyed the inflight meals and TV selection . Good cabin crew service however very disappointed when I wanted a second glass of wine (hardly excessive) after watching a movie , to be told no alcohol was being served . This is the first time I have encounter this on a long haul flight . Very disappointing.

Terrible staff

Terrible staff. Terrible experience with flight attendants. To be specific flight BROO26 June 11th @ 23:10 , year 2025. They instructed me to give back my blanket but the other flight it was ok to keep it. Very inconsistent. The luggage from up top almost fell during descent. Get it together. Very embarrassing.

Don't fly with EVA

I wouldn't recommend flying with this company. I had a trip back and forth from Paris to Tokyo :
- GF got sick in the plane because of the food
- They allow you 2x23 kgs per person, but if you have one luggage of 26 and one of 11 kgs for example, you can't balance out the weight. Therefore, you have to pay extra for one luggage (while your total kilos are still below the limit)
- Once you pay (125 USD for 1 extra kg), they treat your luggage like shit and give you back a broken one when you land
- They don't care about your stuff and they keep giving you their commercial policy, which states that a broken handle or else isn't taken into account
- People were queuing after the flight because of broken luggages and they usually don't care

Never seen such a bad company for a long flight

Impossible to reach customer service

It is absolutely impossible to reach their customer service. The phone number is either constantly busy, or no one is available-even during the working hours listed on their website.

As a result, there is no way to get any information about the refund. My money is lost.

Great airline and fantastic staff

Recently had flights with EVA, one only 3.5 hours and one 13.5 hours from Taiwan to Paris.

Both flights were on time, comfy, staff were fantastic and the meals were delicious. Fully recommend this airline if travelling Asia.

Rude Customer Service

I had a call with Tiamat just now and was met with quite brash and unhelpful responses, the customer service is very much ‘it’s down to you, we have nothing to do with it’.

I was asking if it would be possible to move my partner next to me for our 15 hour flights to and back from Thailand and found her tone to be quite patronising and rude, offering little advice or assistance.

Just back from Vietnam to toronto via…

Just back from Vietnam to toronto via Taiwan.
The crew was with attitude. Don't get me wrong , they do they job but with the feeling " don't ask us for something "
Seat in economy very uncomfortable
Premium economy doesn't look good either .
Food is good. They also provide snacks and sandwiches between the meals.
Plane is kind of old .
Flew to Vietnam with cathay and the was much better in every aspect.
Both tickets with eva out of curiosity to check them out. Was wrong choice

I had booked my ticket online for my return flight to the Netherlands with EVA Air, but I couldn’t select a seat due to a technical issue. At Bangkok Airport, when I was getting my boarding pass, I explained to the staff that I have COPD and requested a seat by the aisle. They said "okay," but then unfortunately told me there were no aisle seats available and gave me a middle seat instead.

Later, when I arrived at the boarding gate and scanned my boarding pass, it triggered a red alert. A staff member came, took my boarding pass, and gave me a new one, saying, “We have reserved an aisle seat for you.” I couldn’t believe it! Out of all the passengers, they hadn’t forgotten about me and had followed up on my request.

This experience made me realize that being a great airline isn’t just about having beautiful planes. Thank you, EVA Air employees!

The on like booking was a mess!!!

The on like booking was a mess!!!! The system will have an error that you have not enough funds from your payment though nothing was entered yet. I called customer service and they told me to switch my browser to Google chrome. I switched to chrome and same error message. I've utilized Safari and microsoft edge and the same issue. Terrible on line booking system

Terribile customer service

Terribile customer service. No one anser the phone (customer service 800 695 1188) been calling in the past few days, no anser, no vociemail, no call back service. I would avoid eva air in the furture.

Exceptional Customer Service and Commitment – A 5-Star Experience with EVA Air!

Over the past forty years, I have primarily purchased airline tickets directly from major airlines. However, in November of last year, I booked an EVA Air ticket for my mother through OVAGO.com. Unfortunately, in January, her health took a turn, and we had to cancel the trip. Since the ticket was non-refundable, I reached out to OVAGO.com, hoping for a possible solution.
I had the pleasure of working with Pierce from OVAGO.com, who helped me contact EVA Air. To my surprise, EVA Airline customer service team was incredibly understanding and professional. They took the initiative to directly coordinate with OVAGO.com, and within just two days, they provided a very reasonable and satisfactory resolution. Their responsiveness and dedication truly stood out.
Because of this exceptional experience, I am giving EVA Air the highest rating on Google Reviews. Their professionalism and customer-centric approach exceeded my expectations. This is a trustworthy airline, and I highly recommend their service!

Am I ever impressed with this airline

Am I ever impressed with this airline. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I wanted to give a shout out to them as I left my phone in the pocket of the seat. They had it back to me before my connecting flight. I was soooo grateful. Thank you EVA Air for such wonderful service. 5 ⭐️ all the way.

Mixed feelings about the experience

Mixed feelings about the experience. The outbound flight was below average, the inbound one was ok.
Meal was good, but the crew didn’t really give out water (until asked to).
Seats were ok in economy and movie choices were not too bad.

Taiwan Crew were awful, Thai Eva staff -excellent

Things they can fix: Cabinet crew - distinct difference between Thai Eva staff who worked hard and were very friendly and the Taiwan staff who were indifferent, perfunctory, cold and hid in their huddles, one was rude to passengers around me.
2. Food - snacks were all UPF carb rubbish. Meal food was cheap and nasty. Take your own snacks and meal supplementary food.

We see a lot of reviews here on EVA…

We see a lot of reviews here on EVA where sadly passengers have had bad experiences. We can only say that having flown EVA many times we haven’t found them to be anything other than very good. In fact we are planning another trans pacific set of flights with them again this year. However if (if) EVA’s service reviews indicate otherwise we might have to rethink what would be a large family business class booking.

Very Disrespectful - Avoid If Possible

While checking in at O'Hare Airport in Chicago to fly back to my country of residence, staff at the check in counter pulled me out of the line and told me they wouldn't let me board until they had my passport approved with immigration staff at my destination. The reason? A tiny smudge on my passport that had been there for years. I have never before, nor since, had any staff, customs officials, or other personnel raise this issue about my passport, let alone go so far as to deny boarding because of it. The EVA staff at O'Hare pulled me out of the line and nonchalantly told me they would have to deny boarding, until they get clearance from the immigration authorities in my destination country. I could tell by their expressions and the way they communicated that they did not care at all in terms of the consequences to me and my family. They made me step to the side and seemed to forget about me until I asked them for an update on the issue. I ended up waiting an hour for EVA staff to finally reach immigration in the destination country, who approved my passport without an issue. Thankfully it was morning in my destination country so immigration staff were available - had it been after hours I doubt EVA would have let me board. It was an absolutely bizarre experience with extremely unprofessional and disrespectful staff, an issue I have never before encountered with any other airline. I followed up with EVA customer service after the incident with an email complaint, which was dismissed by their customer service with the same nonsense explanations provided by the O'Hare staff. I will never fly them again and recommend others think twice before doing so.

Terrible service

Terrible service. When we asked something, they answered as they didn't want to. Their smiles is fake .Our tickets must have been cheap, so they didn't want to serve us. They wouldn't even change our tickets. The service in Thailand is really bad. I wish they would train their staff. Whether rich or poor, everyone should be treated the same.
