Flew EVA Air to/from Taiwan for the 1st…

Flew EVA Air to/from Taiwan for the 1st time. We were shocked at their lack of service and poor quality food. Flight attendants were not friendly, no smile and looks like they are lack of manner training. Passengers are rather bad manners too, feet extended to the front seat touching our elbow! Some lying down with their legs onto the walking area causing people to trip. Flew ANA to Japan before and the service was night and day in comparison. Their food presentation and quality were way better and fresh! Eva Air has a long way to improve.

Do not use Ava airline Especially business class they don’t care

I have never have this terrible experience with Ava
I bough a business class from Florida to Vietnam with my brothers
And apparently they do not care , customer service was terrible
I got to the gate and guess what no business class sit was available, only have economy and they force me to sign a economy class with no refund because they tell me it is my volunteer, I say no
I did not sign and they told me I have to wait for tomorrow, which mean I and my brother shad to wait over 13 hours t the airport and it doesn’t mean we can get on the next day because they pushed us on stand by .
I hope no one will get this experience with Ava airline like us .
I hope people read their reviews before they book with Ava airline .

Awful cabin service in expensive Business Class

Just flew Eva (13 hours) from Bangkok to London. For the main meal service all Eva Air's competitors have a drinks trolley which serves passengers 3 times - once before the main meal, once during the main meal and a third time when passengers are finishing their main meal. To save money, Eva Air only has the drinks trolley to come round just one time at the start of the main meal. Given that passengers have paid several thousand pounds (dollars) this is a disgrace.
Of course, you can get another drink by calling for a cabin crew member. But they seem to take forever to respond even though Eva's Business Class cabin is smaller than their competitors'.
Don't waste your money on Eva Air Business Class.

The updated app does not work

The updated app does not work. Ha e attempted to book airline tickets several times, only to have the website stall for over 10 minutes each time I attempted to book flights from LAX to TPE. Very frustrating.

I Flight from Ho Chi Minh Viet Nam to Taiwan Taipel BR0396/28FEB . My Boarding Time 15:25 . I came to Check in tickets . I was stand more than 1/12 hours only 30 people front of me. Those Viet nammese working For Taiwan. They very slow. The worst in Viet nam. Not recommend. Bought tickets from V-N to Eva air.

The flight from Toronto-Taipei-Manila then Manila-Taipei-Toronto

Both flights were smooth and all food served were delicious,filing and sufficient. May I suggest that one of the flight crew be assigned to regularly check the washrooms for neatness especially keeping the washroom floor dry.
We had mixed experiences in EVA AIR SENIOR WHEEL SERVICE.
In MANILA, although our porters expect TIPS, they provided good service in escorting us Seniors from the EVA air check in counters thru immigration
and to the boarding areas.
Our Porter in TAIPEI on the other hand REJECTED TIPS saying that the service he provided was part of EVA Air Service.He also provided good service,
However,TORONTO Senior Wheel Service is very inefficient and disorganized, I think EVA Air should review its contract with its Pearson Airport Wheel Chair service.The Porters are so detached and seem not to care less.
Except for the single occurrence IN TORONTO, we would rate our trip to the Philippines thru EVA AIR as VERY GOOD.
We intend to go back to the PI late this year again thru EVA AIR.
To the Flight Crew members, Thanks a lot to YOU ALL for your great flight service.

I have a ticket on your Airline for…

I have a ticket on your Airline for April 8 from brisbane to bangkok and stopping in Taiwan . unfortunately i lost my main job and now cant travel on those dates . I was flying to thailand to organise my wedding plans which i cant do now . My partner is very upset and there's No refund or change of Dates . I have spoken to the Airline in person and also the Booking site and they refuse to help .

Incorrect information in flight reservation

I have held a fare and received a confirmation email that I need to pay by 17.33 UTC.

When I tried to make a payment online at 11.00 UTC, it failed with a message that the payment must be made before 17.33 Indochina time (GMT+7), which has now passed.

Booking a new ticket was GBP 260 more expensive than the ticket I had previously reserved.

I have called the the eva air office and all they say is they cannot assist but I can send feedback if i like.

This airline simply should not exist

This airline simply should not exist. Any other option would be better than giving a cent to this company. We had the worst experience of our lives with them. We were supposed to fly to Vietnam. We did our early check-in and arrived at the airport in time with our travel documents in place. They called us to the counter and kept our documents with no explanation.

Only after everybody had boarded the plane, they said that there was a water stain on one of the pages of my partner's passport, and "they weren't sure if this would be acceptable". They did not agree on what to do with us; most of the staff told us it was fine, and only one said he did not agree. One of the staff took her phone to take a photo of our passport and sent it through WhatsApp to her colleague in Hanoi (a clear violation of GDPR), without our consent. Then they made us sign a waiver in case we got deported, which we signed.

We boarded the plane, and then they changed their minds and asked us to get off the plane because the passport would not be accepted by Hanoi. When they escorted us out of the airport, the French immigration officer told them that he did not see any issue with the passport. This passport was used to travel to the US, the UK, and other countries just before, and there was no issue! When I tried to explain that to the staff, the response I got from the male staff was "Do you take yourself as your partner's lawyer now?". They just left us out of the airport, with no report or anything that showed what had just happened.

When we wrote to customer service to ask for reimbursement, they claimed it was all our fault, and they had nothing to do with this. This company should not be authorized to operate. We hope they go bankrupt.

This was by far the most appalling and disrespectful treatment we've ever experienced from an airline. Stay away from Eva Air at all costs.

EVA Air does not care about their…

EVA Air does not care about their business class passengers even when they are in a critical family crisis. Our flights are not due to take off until the end of May and for more than 2 weeks we have been trying to understand our change and refund options with EVA air (via travel agent) as my mother in law is dying & on life support and we need to cancel our vacation to care for her. We have provided passports, marriage, birth and medical certificates as proof so they could investigate and waiver some fees on compassionate grounds - all they came back with is a cruel and inhumane “we only give refunds in the case of death”. We contacted them with plenty of time to resell the tickets, we were never expecting 100% back but we are being charged nearly £1500, 1/3 our total cost! By booking with a travel agent EVA Air have slipped in additional charges that are not the same as booking directly with them, what a rip off!

This is a follow up of my previous review on EVA Air. The company has completely ignored my correspondence with them in the sense that they have refused to discuss any of the issues that I raised. I should add that my travel experience with them may be best characterized with the phrase “dismal.” The flight from Toronto to Taipei was packed. The seating would be challenged by any animal rights group in the world as cruel and unusual punishment if you put your dog in the seat. I would not insult the term food in reference to the inflight meals. Garbage. During the 15-hour flight you would have been hard pressed to find the cabin crew. They may have passed through once or twice. The cabin was freezing. And I’m Canadian. This is a horrible, horrible airline that could care less about passengers. My subsequent flight to Bangkok from Taipei had better seating and better cabin crew. 3 hours. But they ran a “cattle car” from Toronto to Taipei. 15 hours. Do yourself a big favor, stay away from this horrible, arrogant airline. If they represent Taiwan, then the country truly is in trouble.

Absolutely shocking experience!

Absolutely shocking experience!
Online check in was a challenge but that was just the start.
Arrived at Heathrow, queue to get a luggage label and another boarding pass. Then sent to queue again to drop bags off and more boarding passes printed 3 copies in total at this stage).
Flight delayed but no information...told to go to gate and no information. When asked at the gate, was told, all passengers knew flight had been delayed and the new take off time. None 9f the passengers had this information.

Horrible customer service and website.

on 23/12/2023 when i was checking in my luggage, i was told by the front counter staff that there's error in my flight ticket. I seek his assistance and he simply told me off by giving a SG and Taiwan customer service contact number. I tried calling both number but in vain. As my broading time is drawing nearer, I ask that guy again and he ask me to sign in to their website to make any amendment. I tried the website but the horrible website can't get me anywhere. In the end I can't proceed with my trip, losing my flight ticket with EVA AIR and my hotel accommodation in TAIPEI.
Very bad experience with EVA AIR. Never use them again. Giving them one star I'm already consider very generous to them!

I purchased a premium economy ticket

I purchased a premium economy ticket. When I was at the counter to get my luggage checked in and going thru the line in the economy. I was guided by the eva personnel checking my ticket and directed me to the business line. I complied. I had a previous experience when I was boarding ANA airlines in premium economy. But when I was being checked in. The employee from LaX eva named Kelly, had to scold me and told me" next time you should go to economy line" I told her I was given instruction by their employee. Yet no apology from Kelly for her Mistake! Yes she is right that this is the last time ill use EVA air. Mind you the flight is worth 3500USd and its uncalled for to make paying passenger humiliated because of staff failure to put a sign for premium ecomony passanger or have an informed Eva personnel. ANA PREMINUM ECOMONY ALWAYS DIRECTED ME TO BE ON BUSINESS LINE EVEN THO IM PREMIUM ECOMONY PASSANGER DURING MY 4 FLIGHTS WITH THEM.SUCH A MISTAKE OF NOT FLYING WITH THEM THIS TIME. BUT AT LEAST I KNOW.

Best airline in the world

One of the best airlines in terms of service in the air, grounds service, food and cleanliness. I am a frequent flyer and I have flown Eva 4 times this year, they are kind and friendly in every cabin, whether it be economy or business class. Very happy to fly Eva. Truly deserves their 5 star title. Best wishes to them always.

Awful… if I don’t have to flight with…

Awful… if I don’t have to flight with Eva Airline and I won’t flight with them again. The check in service at counter 21 at Taoyuan airport the two supervisor or manager had no management experience and talked to passenger like a judge in the court house, their manners were worse than any service members at Front Counter. My reservation clearly stated that I could check in 2 luggage but they wouldn’t accept it and wanted me to pay $140 for 2nd check in luggage. It is written on my reservation and they still insisted that rule only applies if I flight with United Airline because I booked the flight through UA. I will file an complaint to their headquarters once I am back to the states. Please don’t flight with Eva if you don’t need to!

Just pick another airline

1. Someone spilled drink on my seat that was completely wet. They said that economy class was full so I wasn't offered another seat even though Premium economy wasn't full. When I submitted a complaint the airline blamed me for spilling the drink on my seat, even though it happened while I was on the toilet. No apology whatsoever, only blaming the customer.

2. The Wifi was terrible. Don't pay for it because you won't get a service. I submitted a complaint about it and wasn't offered any refund, not even partial. Luckily I paid via PayPal that accepted my dispute and refunded me in full.

3. The in-flight entertainment is very very limited and boring compared to the major airlines in the world. BA for example offers a lot more content. Was very bored to have such a limited content on a long flight from London to Bangkok.
