Over 3 months to get a appointment for a recall on my car was offered a collection and returned my car from my home which never materialised after waiting in all day on phoning the garage only to be told they no longer do that service no apology

If I could give zero stars I would. It's no wonder they encourage everyone at the time of sale to write up a review to hide all the bad ones on here! Truly shameful company.
I bought a used Kia Sportage in October '24 which was advertised as having apple car play on it. My husband did a full software update of the car thinking it would launch the apple car play, but we couldn't get it to work. That and a few other small issues meant that we rang up services. We spoke to a young girl on the desk who said she'd just started and she checked the advert herself and could see that it was indeed advertised as having apple car play (they have the recording of this call but of course they'll never release it). She booked us in to get our stuff fixed and after this the manager Cameron (who must be one of the worst managers I've ever encountered) said that there was no such advert that contained apple car play and we were mistaken. My husband had a screenshot on his phone taken the afternoon we bought the car, but when we tried to click on the live advert, it had been taken down and it re-routed you to the main Evans Halshaw website. Great.
One of the issues still wasn't fixed (stop start button), so after many repeated calls, ignored emails to several staff members, and a visit in store with my dad, we finally received some help from one member of staff, Nikita, who told us to book into a Kia dealership and they would pay for it. I did this and paid nearly £400 out of pocket, and had to chase the manager Cameron for no less than 5 weeks before I got my money back. I even had to write a complaint to the official Evans Halshaw page.
Apple car play still not fixed, 6 month's in the lady emails to let me know she has the apple car play in store and to book my car in to get fixed. I do that just to be called at 4.30pm that afternoon to say that my car just won't accept any apple car play and there's absolutely nothing they can do.
After 6 months of ignoring me, Cameron finally picks up the phone and this is where he actually threatens me with speaking to their lawyers and drafting up a legal letter if I try to claim that Evans Halshaw falsley advertised. He also said he has a recording of me where I 'demand that Cameron never speak to me'. I've emailed him several times for proof that this sentence came out my mouth, but low and behold, HE HASN'T REPLIED!
6 months of hassle, stress, and being ignored, it's ridiculous. I bought my previous car from an Edinburgh branch and never had any issues. I will NEVER use Evans Halshaw again and will encourage everyone I know to steer clear. The manager should be ashamed of himself for all the excuses he came up with instead of just responding to me. Only one female member of staff was any help to me, and to her I thank her for her efforts.
AVOID THIS COMPANY.

by and silence....
Booked the Ford Ranger in for its annual service and a wet timing belt replacement as it is coming up to 6 years old. Arrived at 8am this morning after a four and half hour drive the night before. Told they could do the service but as they had not quoted a price (they were supposed to ring me with the quote but didn't) they had not ordered the timing belt. Also told it would take more than one day to do the job and could I leave it with them for a few days. Non of which was communicated to me in advance. This is totally unacceptable. Had I known this in advance I would have ordered a courtesy car and arranged my time differently. Just arrived home after another 4+hour drive. Completely wasted journey and about £70's worth of fuel. Pity there is not an option for zero stars.

Buying the car was the good bit all went fine. The issues came just s few days later when peeling on the car started happen, i was not informed that the car had this damaged so i contacted the dealership and they kindly said it can be covered by the warranty so got them a quote and sent details over to be blanked multiple times even after a phone call with them. After this i had the aircon pack in and a engine warning light on the dash got this checked out and turned out to be a misfire on one of the cylinders as well as a valve issue on a cylinder too, next came a battery warning light on the dash and again an engine light. After this i contacted the dealership to take back the car which i had only had for 3/4 week they told me they could only take it back if i got it up there which i didnt want to drive because of the engine problem but they wouldnt move on this so i had to pay £400 of my own money to get it back there after this i was told multiple times that the funds had been sent and i should expect them in 4 working days, then it was 10 working days then 14 working days, i then rang again after 3 weeks of waiting and was told it would be sent same day payment…. It was not so after three more days i sent an email saying it would take legal action as they had my car over 1 month and still no money after this they managed to send the payment within the hour. This was easily the worst experience i have had with a garage constantly telling me there were doing things and they actually weren’t.

Had a few issues with the car my wife and myself bought a few weeks ago wasn’t the best after costumer’s service that we were expecting after purchasing the car, they were things that were supposed to have been done before the car was collected 4 days after purchase and they didn’t got done and no explanation as to why or when they would get done, spoke to Chris from the sales department at the front office and he took control of the situation and reassured me that the issues will get sorted out and a time frame for them to be resolved that was done today so we can thank Chris enough for even fitting the matts in the car, costumer service is about ensuring if for any reasons something things are correct or not taken care of the business priorities are always to get things fixed and handling them in a manner which is professional, three weeks it took to resolve.

bought a brand new van it’s still under warranty the injector for the add blue has stopped working and I was told that there garages are so busy they wouldn’t be able to book me in at all so am off work with no other vehicle to drive I have had to go to a local garage that told me the part I need will be 17 days before it arrives and once it does I’ll be the best part of £1000 to fix it utter disgrace of a company
