We purchased a car for c.£10K from this dealer, the biggest mistake was trusting anything they promised, said or did following that sale.
The car was a Vauxhall Mokka EV and on the surface seemed fine, three years old, low mileage, one owner.
The salesman promised new mats, promised scratches to be removed, promised service history would be updated, promises promises promises.
Picked the car up and random mats had been taken from other vehicles that didn't fit. The scratches that were agreed to be done not sorted and then the service book hadn't been updated.
Promises that this would be sorted and in fairness new mats picked up a week later and service book stamped, scratches sorted on another visit but car covered in dust from doing so. On both occasions a promise the car would be polished, it wasn't, in fact it came back dirtier after the scratches were repaired. It happens to be we live a few minutes down the road, if you are travelling to purchase a car, you will spend countless time driving back and forth to resolve issues.
This is only the start, after having the car a few days, the constant clonking was a concern. Back in again only to be told the drive shaft needs replacing... Back in again to get it fitted after a long lead time... When we picked the car up, told the second drive shaft also needs replacing, waiting again for weeks for a part. Throughout this time we were left with no alternative to driving this car and they couldn't guarantee it was safe. We part exchanged a perfectly working car for this new one so had no other car and they refused to provide a curtesy car until several weeks after.
Calls with servicing lead they were blagging it about the drive shafts.. If you are purchasing an EV which isn't a bottom up design... You get a vehicle with parts, like the drive shaft that are not designed for the sort of instant power EV's offer. A 3 year old car needs both drive shafts changing after £48000 miles?? Alarm bells.
We waited several weeks and were made so many promises it is fair to say we had enough.. I exercised my right under the Consumer Rights Act to reject the vehicle. The lead sales person didn't understand the Act and refused to accept the car back, I was pushed between Head of Sales and Head of Servicing. I was told I could not escalate the complaint until I insisted upon speaking to the Head of Business.
In fairness the Head of Business did try to sort this out and accepted the return of the vehicle, but this wasn't without cost, £340 I needed to pay apparently for us of the broken car throughout the weeks of incompetence from this dealership in rectifying the vehicle. When reading the Act and also understanding my rights, the dealership cannot lean on their own failings as a reason for being past the 30 day period. The amount due was reduced, but left a bitter taste given we had the inconvenience of going back and forth, the miles we paid for driving the car the car was unsafe and defective throughout and the service and rudeness from the staff, particularly the head of sales was honestly quite shocking.
I would never recommend this dealership, they are dishonest, cannot keep a promise and will lie to keep a sale. Once you have purchased the car, you are no longer looked after. I must have written 50+ emails, made countless phone calls to chase what was happening, nobody took accountability, nobody proactive in corresponding. Sales wash their hands and servicing blame sales.
The final part of the experience was when I took the car back, they took the keys and the log book and then gave me no receipt for the refund and couldn't process the payment the same day. I had to wait over the weekend and late into the following Monday to get our money back and all I had was a one liner email saying it would be processed at some point.
All in all, terrible experience. At the end of it all, I am out of pocket and without any car at all given we part exchanged ours. In desperation at the end suddenly they found a curtesy car, suddenly they wanted to keep our business, sell us another car etc etc... Too late, I have just purchased two brand new cars through Skoda and through Renault instead, both very good customer service.

Made to feel very welcome by Paul on arrival nothing was to much trouble
Test drive was arranged and just my wife and myself went on it which gave us both time to talk and discuss the new car with no outside pressure
Would not hesitate to recommend this dealership and would travel down to buy again from them
Thanks Paul for your assistance with purchasing our new car

Elliot was amazing and booked me in as soon as I spoke to him. I had some work done on the car a month ago and then I had a problem with a wheel sensor which required replacing. Elliott checked to make sure it wasn't linked to any work that had been done and kept me fully informed at all times. It was dealt with quickly and efficiently and was not linked to the previous work

I purchased a used Vauxhall Grandland from Evans Halshaw in Bedford and within about a month the battery failed and a fault developed in the electronics. The response from Evans Halshaw was very good: with no quibbling they replaced the battery, and wouldn't return the car to me until they had resolved the electronics and given the vehicle a long road test to try to ensure that the problems were solved to their and my satisfaction. All done via a pleasant and supportive manner from their staff.

Dear Management Team,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service my family and I received at your dealership today, Saturday, around 1:00 PM. We originally came in to view a Toyota C-HR after being highly recommended to you by a friend.
From the very moment we stepped into the showroom, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and respect. We were initially looked after by Christian, who was absolutely fantastic. He arranged a test drive for us that was, without a doubt, the best experience we’ve ever had here in the UK. He made us feel completely at ease, reassuring us that we could test drive other cars or browse their inventory with zero pressure. Christian guided us through all the initial paperwork for the finance application with incredible patience and dedication.
Later in the day, we needed to return to the showroom to finalize some details. Christian had already gone home, but we were warmly approached by a lovely blonde lady (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but she was wonderful). Instead of simply turning us away because our original salesperson wasn't there, she immediately asked how she could help and made sure we were looked after.
While we were talking, Chris from the finance department noticed we had a few questions regarding our application. He stepped in right away to assist us. Since English is not our first language and we don't understand 100% of it yet, Chris went above and beyond—he happily explained everything two or three times until we were completely comfortable. His patience and attentiveness meant the world to us and solved everything we needed.
Although our finance process is still pending and nothing is fully finalized yet, I felt compelled to share this review immediately. The level of care, education, and genuine kindness your team showed us is rare to find.
You have gained a loyal customer. I will continue to highly recommend your dealership to everyone I know, and whenever we need another car in the future, it will 100% be with you.
Thank you all so much for making us feel so welcome.
Warm regards,
Viviane and Family

The staff are absolutely fantastic – every member of the team I dealt with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They made the whole experience much more pleasant and couldn't do enough to assist.
The only downside was the parking. The parking situation is really poor, with limited spaces available, making it difficult and sometimes stressful to find somewhere to park. Improving the parking facilities or providing additional parking options would make a significant difference to the overall experience.
Overall, the excellent customer service from the staff is a real credit to the organisation, but the parking is an area that definitely needs attention.
