needs a good clean and refurb. Surely they have money for this, considering the monthly subcriptions.

Totally rubbish! It's really gone down hill in the last 18 months, and it wasn't very good before then. Very filthy showers and changing rooms, nothing gets cleaned properly so everything is caked... See more

This gym has gotten worse by day. They charge what they do for the pool steam room and the jacuzzi that they're getting rid of now. Steam room is horrible, stinks, dirty, not a nice place to be, pool... See more

What an absolute joke this place is

What an absolute joke this place is, the place is filthy, floors are gross, equipment is old and dated, members screaming in the pool at the top of their voices, swearing, backflipping into the pool, the shower stalls are full of flies, I refuse to walk into them anymore, theirs tiny flies all over the place 🤢, have tried to cancel my membership for these reasons and they won't have it, tried to prove I've been made redundant and apparently my p45 isn't enough proof 😂, the place is run by absolute idiots that just want u to sing the 12 month agreement so that you have no choice but to pay it, absolutely crazy, I'll be cancelling my payments through my bank in that case, paying something is a choice, they seem to forget that 👍🏻

Bad customer service

I’m just tired. I haven’t been to the gym in about 7-8 months so I have tried to join everlast. The website was saying my details were already registered somehow but also wouldn’t send me a link to reset my password to an account I didn’t have.

I contacted their customer service department about this and their response was to send all the details of my account to them…. That I still didn’t have. I wrote back advising this and they haven’t responded in about 2 weeks.

I then went down to the gym to sign up and the guy who helped me was lovely and agreed the customer service department was crap. He said I would need to come another time to reset my password which was fine to me as I need that to log into the app and see the options for personal training (this was important as I feel uncomfortable going alone at this time)

I have gone down to the gym again today and the lady was quite rude and dismissive, she said the system was taking too long and I will just have to come down another time.

Seems like all of this is just too awkward and difficult.

FYI - when it was DW gym it was much better. The jazzuzi’s worked, the staff was lovely and they even had a sun bed which also isn’t available anymore.

I’ve never put a review on Google in my life and have also never put a complaint in but all of this is just ridiculous

This gym has gotten worse by day

This gym has gotten worse by day. They charge what they do for the pool steam room and the jacuzzi that they're getting rid of now. Steam room is horrible, stinks, dirty, not a nice place to be, pool the same. The gym it self is so poorly managed, they were due an upgrade on equipment 15 years ago. It's all trash. The PTS there are even worse, some of the people getting trained I see their form and think Jesus they're going to hurt themself. Terrible. Stay away

Disappointing Decline

Disappointing Decline
I have been a loyal patron of Everlast Gym in Cardiff for years, having initially joined when it was DW GYM. Unfortunately, I can no longer remain silent about the deteriorating state of the facility since Everlast took over. What was once a well-maintained and inviting gym has now become a major disappointment, leaving me with no choice but to share my concerns.
The first glaring issue is the gym equipment, which seems to be in a perpetual state of disrepair. Countless machines have been broken for extended periods, with no apparent effort from the management to fix them promptly. The most disheartening part is that these malfunctions have been going on for months, seriously impacting the overall workout experience.
On top of the equipment issues, the lack of maintenance has reached unacceptable levels. For instance, the cold shower near the steam room has been non-functional for an unacceptable amount of time, showing a clear disregard for customer comfort and basic amenities.
Moreover, the once-enjoyable Jacuzzi has also become a casualty of Everlast's ownership. Instead of ensuring its operation, the management seems to have cut corners, leading to its continuous inoperability due to rising electric and gas prices. This mismanagement is not only disappointing but also reflects a lack of commitment to providing a comfortable and well-equipped fitness facility.
The most concerning aspect of the gym's decline is the decline in hygiene standards. The steam room, in particular, is a source of constant frustration, being persistently dirty and uninviting. Additionally, the swimming pool water quality has significantly deteriorated, leaving it murky and far from the refreshing experience it once offered.
Worse yet, Everlast Gym seems to have abandoned its responsibility to provide proper cleaning supplies for gym-goers. A simple spray and blue roll would go a long way in maintaining cleanliness, but these essentials are conspicuously absent.
My personal experience at Everlast Gym has taken a severe toll on my health. Due to the unsanitary conditions, I recently contracted Folliculitis, a skin infection that could have been easily prevented with proper cleaning practices. I am now on a course of antibiotics and numerous medications, all stemming from their negligence towards hygiene.
In conclusion, I can no longer recommend Everlast Gym in Cardiff. The decline in equipment maintenance, amenities, and hygiene standards has resulted in an unpleasant and even dangerous environment for its patrons. It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to a gym that once held such promise. Until Everlast addresses these serious issues and prioritizes the well-being of its members, I cannot in good conscience return or recommend others to do so.
Please be cautious and considerate of your health when choosing a gym, and I sincerely hope that Everlast takes swift action to rectify these significant shortcomings.

Totally rubbish!

Totally rubbish!
It's really gone down hill in the last 18 months, and it wasn't very good before then.
Very filthy showers and changing rooms, nothing gets cleaned properly so everything is caked in grease and dirt (enviromental health should pay a visit to this place as it's disgusting - especially the showers).
They close the facilities 15-30 mins earlier than the advertised time, in which time one of the desk staff just hoses down the communal areas just before it shuts. They do this to ensure that they don't have the pay the desk staff a minute longer, and they won't pay for professional cleaning staff to come in and clean the place properly. It's not worth the membership at all, not to mention being a health hazard and
needs sorting out immediately.
