ISSUED WITH UNFAIR PARKING FINES WHILST DOING MY WORKOUT AT EVERLAST GYM
I am very disappointed with the Everlast Gym in Thurrock.
I have been a customer for quite a long time.
I arrive early in the morning about 5am to use the gym. I normally spend about 2 hours 15 minutes in the gym.
There have been no parking restrictions but recently I received multiple parking tickets from G24 parking company. They had recently installed cameras in the area where we are meant to park. I approached Everlast but they were totally dismissive.
I explained to them that since the parking restrictions are for a maximum of 2 hours they ought to have informed their customers that we could not use the gym for more than 2 hours at a go. I was parked in the car park for about 2 hours and 13 minutes.
I also explained that since I arrive at around 5am in the morning I did not notice the new signs as it was quite dark and the signs had only been installed there.
The staff just did not care about the welfare of their customer and said they could not do anything about it even though many other clients of them had also been caught in the same trap.
It is quite sad when organisations treat their clients with such contempt and disrespect.
Be very wary of several of thier staff…
Be very wary of several of thier staff members, curly haired female Sarah , Ola, Shariah, Keeley, Courtney, Harley and thier apparent blonde male manager and few gym goers are bunch of stalkers and wierdos, got thier names of the app before anyone thinks otherwise. Sarah, Ola, Shariah and Courtney also stalked and behaved like wierdos at a previous gym where I attended. The gym goers mentioned below have a tight relationship with the staffs, no doubt that they would all behave and act the same. They can deny as much as they want, they know what they did and who they really are.
When they see unexpected and unsual things happen to people like me, they burn with envy and the amount of lengths those mentioned above gone to get my attention is off putting. Instead of approaching, they know how to stalk instead which is very creepy. Seems as if they have been watching too much social media.
When they were confronted, they acted like victims, before all of this happened I asked them to terminate my contract and willing to pay the remaining months, the liars tied me in with made up excuses.
Be wary of wannabe gangsters who have intentions to provoke and aggravate and when confronted they backed off like little boys.
Be wary of a small short blonde who attended same time as me in the morning at 7am, stalked me for over 7 months trying to get my attention, pathetic to see how she couldn't get the hint that I'm not interested in a woman her type yet they still bother me for attention.
Be wary of another blonde female who has a boyfriend but still behaved in a desperate way numerous times. It is also strange and creepy to see how some men and women behave when they don't get the attention, it is sickening.
Respect people's boundaries, privacy and space, don't feel entitled to anything like those mentioned above and don't be a coward. People like those mentioned make me laugh as I've dealt with wierdos before.
This also applies to few staff members and that wierd female blonde gym manager and few gym goers they have at puregym across the road, you can never benefit or feed off me if I don't know you on a personal level.
Lack of Compassion and Poor Customer…
Everlast THURROCK -Lack of Compassion and Poor Customer Care at
On Wednesday 14th January, at around 1:30pm, I was working out at Everlast Thurrock. After finishing my workout, I went into the changing room to put my belongings away before heading to the sauna. At this point, I began experiencing vertigo and felt dizzy and extremely dehydrated, having realised I had left my water bottle behind.
Concerned for my wellbeing, I went to reception and politely asked if I could have a paper cup with some filtered water. This was not a demand—simply a request for water as I was feeling unwell. The receptionist, Ola, immediately refused. I explained that I was dizzy and genuinely needed water, but despite this, she repeatedly said no, showing no empathy or concern whatsoever.
For clarity, yes, there is a water fountain in the gym, however it is designed in the form of open taps. I did not feel it was appropriate or hygienic to put my mouth directly underneath a public tap, especially while feeling unwell. This was something I also explained at reception.
During the interaction, I asked Ola, “What would you do if I fainted, or if I were pregnant and needed water?” Her response—delivered with a completely straight face—was, “That would be a different story.” I was left completely confused and disturbed by this comment. What does that even mean? Does someone need to collapse, be visibly unwell, or meet certain criteria before basic compassion is shown?
Her manner throughout was cold, rude, and dismissive. I was genuinely shocked, particularly in a fitness environment where health and wellbeing should be a priority. To be clear, I did not ask for plastic cups used for protein shakes—I specifically asked for a paper cup, yet this made no difference.
Feeling the situation was unjust, I asked to speak to a manager. Unfortunately, the manager, Brook, was no better. He was equally unempathetic and dismissive. As a manager, I would have expected far more professionalism and understanding. His explanation was that they “count their cups” and are “very strict,” even when it comes to paper cups. I honestly could not believe what I was hearing.
This experience has completely put me off returning. It raises serious questions about Everlast’s values as a fitness company. What does Everlast stand for if a member feeling unwell cannot be given something as basic as water?
I will be taking this complaint further. The lack of compassion and basic human decency shown by both staff members was horrifying and unacceptable.
I’ve been a dedicated member of this…
I’ve been a dedicated member of this gym for four years, but recently the atmosphere has changed for the worse. The staff and overall environment have become unprofessional and unwelcoming. I was bullied by another member, and despite bringing it to the staff’s attention, nothing was done to address the issue. I left feeling disappointed and upset by the way I was treated today, especially after years of being a member.
I am very disappointed with Everlast…
I am very disappointed with Everlast Gym. It’s clear they don’t care about their existing customers, only about income. They closed the gym to film something and didn’t even bother to send an email or inform members in advance. This shows a complete lack of respect and consideration for the people who pay monthly memberships.
Poor Customer service, Rude manager
I called the gym at the beginning of this month to cancel my gym membership as I am a student and going back to uni. I gave exactly 31 days notice and was told that I would not be charged further. I then see a pending direct debit for the 1st of September, so I called the gym again asking why I was being charged to then be told that the membership was not cancelled correctly and that there was nothing they could do about it. The manager was very dismissive and clearly did not care and a knowledge the fact that this was an error caused by his member of staff. There is no reason why I should pay for another month when I gave 30 days notice and I won’t even be in the area to use the gym.
Aesthetically great but staff and managers are useless
Whilst the gym has undergone a complete refurb, the management of the gym remain in shambles.
1. Rarely see anyone clean
2. Staff constallntlynon their phones behind the reception desk
3. Supposed Managers PTing on shift and not available to address member feedback.
4. Staff not knowledgeable either of the kit or the gyms policies.
5. Allowing members to use tripods and drones freely videoing their workouts in the gym imposing on all other gym members privacy.
6. Staff laughing amongst themselves and gossiping about members.
7. The AC is never on and according to staff not working and has no confirmed callout or repair date
Very disappointing to see that Staff take no pride in keeping the gym clean and tidy or customer experience.
New version, Everlast Gym .
Everlast Gym Thurrock upgrade, absolute quality A gym membership is an investment not an expense. Health is wealth . Good customer service from all the staff. Make your health a priority and be the best version of yourself.
horrible lmfao
All of the bloody cable machines are broken and staff are absolutely incompetent in repairing them. If not all then most of the staff dont even have a bloody clue on the gym. they dont know the first thing about it. This is all in Thurrock everlast by lakeside.
One punch bag left neatly all cable…
One punch bag left neatly all cable machines are now broken machines are cheap
And never fixed it takes months for them to fix the gym is not worth more than £10 very poor
Nice clean gym friendly staff but lots…
Nice clean gym friendly staff but lots of machines always broken that take forever to fix . Leg extension machine been broken for 3 weeks now .
I’ve been a member for EverlThast gym for…
I’ve been a member for Everlast gym for a substantial amount of time now, and despite the staff being friendly overall their only leg up they have on next doors competition (puregym) is a sauna.
Gym equipment is damaged all the time (one cable machine hasn’t worked in far too long)
The showers have mold, classes seem to be non existent. There was a time classes were plentiful with much selection however if it wasn’t for me being a legacy customer and getting classes inclusive I definitely would not be paying for the extra.
I feel like the clubs main selling point is that sauna, it broke temporarily and the speed it was fixed just proves where the focus is going.
I Hope this helps anyone interested in joining, just know what you’re signing up for…….. sauna 😆
