Brilliant customer service

We went to the Everyman Theatre in Altrincham a short while back. The manager Rick ( I think he works mainly in the Manchester city centre Everyman) went over and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and was so friendly and welcoming. There were a few mix ups with seats and he dealt with it brilliantly making sure everyone was happy. He's a real credit to the cinema. The food was great too! We will now be watching all our movies there :)

I do rather enjoy coming to this cinema in Clitheroe, quite surprised to see so many negative reviews! The only thing in my recent visit for the new Spiderman, in screen 4, there was a very distracting fan sound coming from the back left corner. Was noticeable when the sound from the film wasn't very loud. Not exactly ideal, I hope the issue gets resolved. Other than that, can't really fault them!

Yes yes yes

Yes yes yes. Having had a long period without the joys of cinematic wonder it was great to finally return to the movies and Everyman Hampstead was brilliant. It had to be the James Bond film and the comfy sofas, food service and general ambience didn’t fail to impress.

I also enjoyed Shang Ji here and had a good experience on that occasion also. The Gerard’s Cross cinema is also very good with excellent service and a clean roomy feeling space. Will definitely be going again as soon as it looks safe to do so!

Poor service

Hello, I went to see Spider-Man at 4:15pm today at your Barnet Everyman. We waited in the foyer and ordered some food to be brought to us when we sat down in the cinema. The food was given to us in the Foyer ie not as we requested. The squid was stone cold and my wife asked for it to be exchanged. The Pizza was fine. When we went in to the cinema we asked for two cokes. We were handed two bottles of warm coke with no glasses or ice. I asked one of your staff for glasses / ice and they arrived with only 1 glass. I had to ask three of your waiting staff and 15 minutes for the second glass to turn up.
All very frustrating as an am sure you will understand. This is not the service I have previously experienced at Everyman theatres.

Baker St Cinema - Temp Set Too Hot in Theatre

Going to Cinema is a rare occasion for me these days as I have a 4-year-old. I planned childcare for the evening and popped in to the Baker St. Everyman Cinema to watch a movie. I bought my ticket, Sparking Wine and Popcorn totalling £37.95 in all and sat down to enjoy my movie. Within 5 mins I realized it was really hot in the theatre and quickly went outside to report this to the staff. It felt like 26/27 Degrees in there. The staff turned off the heating but insisted on leaving the doors closed without opening up to air the place. I complaint again and mentioned I suffer from menopause which makes me especially sensitive to heat and was escorted off out of the theatre to reception where the only option was to provide me with a credit voucher. My one night off was ruined but it didn't matter to the staff that were arguing with me, getting me even more angry. The temperature should be set to an ambient setting at 21 Degrees and there should be a thermostat that should automatically climatize the place. I insisted on a refund in the end and they had to call head office to provide this. I am still awaiting a refund. I then wrote to customer services directly and his response was we apologize and take feedback seriously. This is not going to bring back my one special night that was ruined and I was not even offered an incentive to return if this was a one off or to make up for my lost time apart from ‘Sorry we got it wrong’. So sorry - I will be giving this company a 1-star rating and less if I could.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I wanted to change my ticket that I have booked on line so contacted customer service. I was informed it could take up to 40mins because of staff shortages. I did wait the 40 mins and then got cut off! I was so cross. When I then received my phone bill, the call had cost me 26 pound. I was horrified. I wrote to the media group reporting their terrible customer service and the cost of the phone call and ask them to compensate me for the cost of the call. I have heard nothing at all.... terrible. I will be letting other people know about my experience and will not be visiting an everyman cinema again!

On this occasion all of the food was cold and we had to get up 3 times to check on our order when we asked for a replacement. Sam the ‘manager’ of Everyman in Newcastle simply did not know how to handle the situation and allowed a fellow member of staff to laugh in our face when we asked for a refund on the cold food. We were accused of not having provided the staff with our seat numbers which is the first thing they ask when they take your order. Sam’s attitude that he is beyond reproach and he was very quick to suggest we take the matter further because he was ‘not prepared to have the conversation’ with a dissatisfied customer. Where did this guy get his management skills!?? Ruined our evening and best part £60 worse off.

Visited your Leeds branch on Sunday( 17/10/21) with my partner and was disgusted by the state of the cinema. Not only was the front of house dirty but also the screen room. There was rubbish scattered around everywhere along with dirty glasses and crockery. The prices you charge for tickets is at a premium and the venue was quite frankly filthy. I have noticed this the last few occasions I have been and due to the current “Covid” situation I find unacceptable. Secondly the customer service is as bad with only automated e-mail responses. No reply for over a week.

Awful customer service - broken website, don’t answer phone, numerous mistakes

I am a member and they are constantly issues with their customer service:
- they be tried to make me believe my membership will end 6 months earlier that it should
- there are often mistakes with the number of tickets left on my membership and I have to email and call to make them correct then
- Their website often doesn’t work and THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE
- you have to send countless emails and calls numerous to get one ask done

Definitely will not renew the membership

Excellent customer service

I was given last minute notice about an operation that required me to isolate immediately beforehand, meaning I couldn't attend the cinema showing that I'd booked on to. I spoke with a lovely lady named Emily who was really understanding and provided me with guest passes for a later date - I couldn't have asked for better service.

Accepted the 100%markup on going to the Vue instead. Expected full use of facilities and staff not giving misleading info. 1) receptionist said no water in Trinity Centre, Leeds so no hot food available. Advised us to go elsewhere to eat. Went elsewhere for a drink & came back to find Pizzas available for order at bar! (?) 2) pizza was a minuscule flatbread for £10. Previous visit pre-COVID was a pizza in a proper pizza box. 3) “Gin enough for a film”. Advised by barman on gin bottle and 2 tonic bottles for £28 - didn’t realise that was it for two people (was expecting that per person) 4) couldn’t last the 20 mins trailers and 2hrs 45m for James Bond film so nipped to the loo to find it locked. Then a long trip back, down the stairs, past the bar to the disgusting toilets. Not a great experience and one we won’t be repeating

No refund policy at Everyman cinemas…

My latest experience at the Clitheroe Everyman Cinema was not a good one I had made an error taking my son and grandson to this cinema we arrived to watch a film but unfortunately my grandson was to young to watch the film but to my astonishment I could not get a refund because the Cinema has a no refund policy the staff had an attitude that was not professional at all. I thought they were a classy organisation I was completely wrong. They get you to ring a booking office to ask for a refund but the company policy. Am told on the phone is they do not do refunds it is the most expensive cinema but for whatever reason they will not give refunds disgraceful.

Avoid at all costs

Booked 2 SOFA seats for a newly refurbished Everyman Belsize Park to watch No time to Die last Sunday. Bad enough their booking system wasn’t working properly and there was a total mix up with the seats, so my husband and I ended up on 2 very uncomfortable individual seats for 3 hours instead of a sofa we booked in advance and paid for, plus their popcorn machine wasn’t working, but it is their unprofessional and rude staff that blacklisted this place for us. A manager called Areti kept us waiting for almost 30 minutes to have a seats problem resolved. Obviously, the place was fully booked, so she eventually offered us vouchers as an apology and told us to email her to receive them. So we did. Twice! It has been a week and no response. Absolutely shambles. Avoid at all costs! There is Odeon IMEX literally round the corner if you fancy a nicer experience

Newcastle venue AVOID.

Newcastle venue is a very good setting. Unfortunately the manager is rude and arrogant. Clearly had no customer care training. Made a problem for us when there wasn't one. The other staff were embarrassed listening to her nonsense. She didn't speak to the other staff very well either. A shame really as very good location and venue. Sort management staff with training at the very least. Other staff were very good. Wouldnt take much to be a perfect venue.

All I want to do is move my tickets to another day/time. There is no way to do this online. I tried emailing and got no response after 4 working days. I tried calling at 13p/min fee and it took 40mins for me to get through. So I lose that time + that fee + my booking fee. Criminal system.
