Don't buy gift membership!!

A family member purchased gift membership for me in early July and 7 weeks later I have still not received it!! Several emails and phone calls with several team members but there is nothing they can do it seems. Staff are confused and unhelpful!! How hard is it to print and post a giftcard?! If it's still not here at the 8 week mark I shall have to ask my family member to start a chargeback claim with their bank to get the money back from everyman!
What a disappointing company!

Another one star review

Another one star review! Ordered a gift voucher as a birthday present supposed to arrive within a week. Nearly three weeks later still no voucher, 3 calls to customer experience team & apparently nothing they can do. Asked to speak to a manager and supposedly can’t do that either. Awful customer service

DONT EVER BUY THEIR MEMBERSHIP AS A…

DONT EVER BUY THEIR MEMBERSHIP AS A PRESENT
Firstly the process of buying a membership and activating it is terrible. My daughters bought the £300 membership for me well in advance of my birthday but the gift card didn't come in time. Activating the gift card when it did finally arrive was a real faff too, so graciously Everyman added two more tickets to the membership.
The CON is that you have to use all the tickets within one year. I have been seriously ill this year and made my enquiry about rolling the tickets forward about 4 months in. I was told that if I didn't use all my tickets in a year I could renew the membership and roll them forward.
I was not told at that time that I had to renew the £300 membership! Only now when the year is due to end am I told that I have to renew at the same membership level to keep my unused tickets. I had assumed from their correspondence that I could renew at a lower level of membership and roll them forward into that which would have been fine by me.
I wrote again querying that they had not made this clear but they chose not to reply.
BEWARE EVERYMAN. I think I will book a cinema out for prime time on Saturday night and hand out my 20 unused tickets to punters in the foyer FOR FREE together with an explanation about how disgusting Everyman customer service is!
Is it any wonder that I am contributing to a massive 38% one star reviews for Everyman on Trustpilot?

Really disappointed in the last two visits…

Really disappointed in the last two visits to Crystal Palace. The customer experience isn’t just about having a comfy sofa and a drink. It’s the whole customer experience that matters. They won’t allow you to have a drink in the bar area. You’re corralled into the cinema and have to then wait for someone to come and take your order (20 mins after we arrived) and then wait for them to deliver (more than 30 mins after we arrived, and long after others had been served). The bar area was empty when we arrived so why not be able to get a drink and relax and then take your drink into the film when you are ready - at your convenience? Really very poor service maybe because of a change in management as it wasn’t always as shockingly bad as this.

I bought a gift membership as present

I bought a gift membership as present. Tried to use the card for the first time and was told It was invalid. I emailed them that evening but didn't get a response I also tried calling the customer service number and the line was cut twice before I could speak to anyone. I would not recommend buying a gift membership for you or a friend. The customer service is none existent, which is really disappointing and a let down. As the Cinema themselves are a nice experience.

What a place, everyman cinema Clitheroe.

What a place! Yes it's more expensive than a normal cinema but that's just it, it's not a normal Cinema! This is an experience, an adventure, a relaxing place to go to watch a movie.
The whole ambiance of the place from the moment you walk in is just so beautiful and relaxing, the lounge and bar area are full of deep filled settees that you melt into whist waiting for friends to arrive, your greeted by a member of staff on arrival who asks which film your there to see, they tell you where your going and what time and take your order for drinks or food.
Now this is where it gets good and what you pay that tiny bit extra for! You go into the cinema and its like going into your lounge, the same deep filled settees and arm chairs adorn the floor and each one has its own table attached big enough for your drink or food and by food I mean the freshly made burgers and frys, pizza, loaded fries what ever you order they bring to your comfy sofa so you can eat your meal while watching the movie making you feel like you have your own cinema at home!
The food was really good value and the burgers are huge! Followed up by some ice-cream and you have the whole package right there and then.
When you add up the comfort, surroundings, friendly Ness off the staff and the ambiance of the place you forget about the extra cost and book your next visit on the way out!
It really is a great place to go and if you have time before or after you can visit a number of other venues on site for a relaxing drink or a weekend treat with local singers or bands.
So go on and treat yourself cause you won't be dissapointed

Best cinema experience we have had

This review is a little late, but we had to shout out to Kevin working at the Broadgate cinema who was the nicest and most helpful person we have ever had the pleasure of meeting (this was on May 23rd this year) He greeted us with a warm smile and took our food and drinks order so quickly. It was my partners birthday and he was so pleased to be served in such a way. Thank you Kevin, we will be back!

ok this is my experience of watching…

ok this is my experience of watching the same movie at 2 different cinemas. everyman stratford apon avon seating amazing sofa very comfy, screen perfect . however the only downside for me was the sound I watched the same movie maverick last week at an empire cinema high wycombe the sound was many times better. and it was half the price. however my point is to everyman fix the sound you and have the perfect product as films like maverick need the best

Over priced don’t bother

Over priced, overly annoying waitress and annoying people. Unless you’re an alcoholic who cannot take a 2hr movie without requiring your drug don’t bother. We got 5 sweet potato fries and 7 nachos - were hungry throughout but didn’t wish to take another mortgage to satisfy hunger. Worst however was food coming during the movies delivered by often loud and slightly over enthusiastic waiters and waitresses forgetting that actual reason we came to the cinema was to watch a movie! Honestly I now think that other cinemas are actually not too bad the money.

We had a very bad experience this…

We had a very bad experience this evening. We were ignored by the staff and were not able to order food, they kept walking past us and congregating at the opposite side of the room, even after making eye contact a few times no one came to take our order. It was a busy showing, however other people arrived after us and got served straight away. Once the movie started and we had not been served my husband went out to the bar where the staff were rude to him (two girls) and made him feel stupid for trying to order after the film had started as if this was his fault. I then went myself (missing the start of the film) and explained to a different staff member, I was given a free popcorn but still felt very angry and upset. We had to sit through the showing without having had any dinner and very nearly walked out. I very much regret spending the money on these tickets, and we are unlikely to return.

I think they have a massive problem with staff and the attitude they have towards costumer care , such a shame because the big screen is such a big part in people’s lives.
Wouldn’t recommend on that basis.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE

We got Everyman membership for a year. I completely forgot we had it and barely used it, especially when the cinemas were shut! My membership has now auto-renewed and now I'm being chased by a debt collection agency to pay for services I haven't used. Hardly the premium brand they make out to be. Terrible!

Really bad experience

Really bad experience. No fresh popcorn available at the Edinburgh cinema. Cinema is small and seats small and the lack of table space for food and drink is ridiculous. I had to balance my nachos and dip on my lap whilst watching the movie. Really poor design.

Disgusted by Everyman treatment of a minor.

My 16 year old daughter had her trip ruined as they refused her entry for a 15 rated film!! They wouldn’t even let her in the building to wait for me to pick her up so she stood outside in the rain for half an hour in tears. Disgusting on behalf of Everyman, she was a regular cinema goer there and never before asked for ID but to be thrown out into the rain is atrocious. We won’t be returning.

Good place to watch a film

We are regular customers at Crystal Palace and visited again this week. As usual there was a friendly welcome and the cinema itself is stylish and well looked after. We have also had good experiences at other venues at Oxted and Lincoln. Everyman is not cheap for food, drink or tickets (this is only reason not rated 5 star), but we have always found it a great place to watch a film.
