Written by the company

With 20 years of experience working in the warranty business, the head honchos at Everything Breaks know that traditional extended warranties don’t always work in the consumer’s favor. Paying a large sum upfront for extended coverage isn’t consumer-friendly, and being bound to a contract for up to 72 months is just plain unreasonable. So, they created a monthly protection program that works for you by alleviating hefty upfront payments and long-term commitments. At Everything Breaks, we always keep the customer in mind when developing new protection plans. It’s our mission and pleasure to offer great coverage at an affordable price.

Buyer beware this company will not…

Buyer beware this company will not cover anything…. I purchased a policy for $95 a month on my older model Nissan knowing that “Everything Breaks”… my daughter hydroplaned over a median and needed to have some repairs done. They denied all the following services… so my question is what will you cover…..
Engine Oil Pan Replace
Brake Service Cleaning
Battery Service/Cleaning
Headlight Restoration
Serpentine Belt
Front end alignment
Remove/Replace suspension control arm
Literally declined everything… so what am I paying for. When I called in was told oooo we can’t cover any of it due to hydroplane. I said ok some of these things have nothing to do with the hydroplane. He agreed picked 2 things that are typically covered and still denied claim. I had been a customer for 10months I could’ve paid for 1/2 my repairs with the premium I paid to them.

Added Note: The company had a chance to make it right during the call. The Oil pan (Which is covered) would've been a $300 fix and they would still have customer. I got a verification message 10/7 here comes the same justification you see on every review. People have a pleasant experience purchasing the policy and an awful one when it's time to use it.

I was also bamboozle by this Everything Breaks!

I was also bamboozle by this company. I had a push rod on my engine. I had to pay $4500 my pocket because they will not pay the claim all the oil changes done. I had a new Cadillac Escalade this company is bogus. no one need to use this company They are a scam Please do not use this company. They should have a one rating. Everyone should get together and put a lawsuit in against this company. I am ready just let me know. My vehicle stayed in the shop for three months waiting on just for Everything Breaks to process my claim.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your experience. After carefully reviewing your case, we understand that this has been a frustrating process for you, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

However, we would like to clarify the reason your claim was denied. According to our service contract, which is clearly outlined in Section A: Maintenance and Records, maintaining your vehicle per the manufacturer’s recommendations is essential to qualify for claim coverage. As part of this requirement, oil changes must be performed at specific intervals, which for your Cadillac Escalade is every 7,500 miles, as recommended by the manufacturer. Unfortunately, there was a documented gap in your maintenance records, showing that the required oil change intervals were not followed, which led to the denial of your claim.

Please know that we value our customers, and it is never our intention to deny a claim unless we are obligated to do so due to the terms of the contract. We encourage all our customers to follow their vehicle’s maintenance schedule to avoid these kinds of situations in the future.

I wouldn't even give this company 1…

I wouldn't even give this company 1 star. They tried to sell me a plan but after I told them I could not make the decision without my spouse the representative told me to call my husband at work. Then I told them he can not get calls at work. The sales rep then proceeded to reprimand me saying - "why didn't you tell me this is the 1st place." They wanted a decision right then. After he hung up on me , I called back to make a complaint- got transferred to "a manager" and this person also told me that I was being rude because I asked them to repeat themselves because I didn't comprehend the 1st time what he was saying. AND I told them their sales people suck after all that.
So buyer beware! They are just after your monthly payment. I was also reading reviews online and they say that they deny claims all the time and they don't pay the mechanics.
Update- their comment is false. He did hang up on me.

This assessment isn't accurate. After reviewing the situation, the sales agent did not hang up on you. Our records show the call was disconnected by the customer. Additionally, we do pay on legitimate claims. Many claims are denied because customers fail to follow the necessary procedures, and we must adhere to the terms of the contract. We regularly pay repair facilities, and there is a long list of those we’ve worked with. The decision is requested upfront because we explain the policy in full during the initial call. Unfortunately, some customers have attempted to claim coverage after a vehicle breakdown for pre-existing issues, which are not covered under Service Contracts, similar to how insurance works.

Update: After reviewing the call, we can confirm that the agent did not hang up on the customer, and we have clear evidence to support this. Additionally, we honor all legitimate claims as outlined in our service contract. As a legal document, the contract's terms must be followed, and any denied claims are the result of failure to adhere to the agreed-upon maintenance protocol or a misunderstanding of the contract’s provisions.

I called everthing breaks and was told…

I called everthing breaks and was told I have the best coverage. So I went to a AAA recommended mechanic. The place said they would work with my EB warranty. However, after getting the price for the part and giving car pics, they denied the whole claim!
I paid into EB for over a year and was using them for the very first time. They pretty much denied my whole claim and now i’m out over $1300. I’m going to cancel them bc that’s about how much I paid to that company! This is such a scam. I feel lied to and upset.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. After reviewing your claim, we found that the denial was based on the condition of the failed component, which was rusted. As outlined in your contract under section E, bullet point 11, “What is not covered,” claims related to rust, corrosion, and other specific factors are excluded from coverage. We understand that this can be frustrating, especially when you’re using your coverage for the first time, but it’s important to note that these exclusions are clearly outlined to ensure transparency about what is and isn’t covered.

We always recommend that customers review their contracts in detail to fully understand the terms of their protection, including any limitations or exclusions. This helps to ensure that you’re aware of what you’re paying for and can avoid any surprises if a claim is made.

We appreciate your business over the past year and hope this information helps clarify the situation.

I had this service for a year and…

I had this service for a year and didn't use it. When I ordered it from a live sales rep, he said he would check the box that it did not renew after a year. Well, that was wrong, they automatically charged my credit card $357.20 and when I tried to call them, they gave all kinds of excuses like the person to talk to was out, They would call back at odd hours. I tried calling them back and had to hold for almost an hour without talking to anyone. I finally hung up and reported them as fraud to my credit card company, which made it they cancelled the card and I had to wait for over a week for a new card. I called Everything Breaks back again, was on hold for so long I gave up. This company is a nightmare! I do not recommend them.

Don't accept this warranty at you shop!

I own a repair facility and made the mistake of accepting this warranty for one of my customers. I first called to start a claim I was instructed to start a claim online. This first call was not answered for 40 minutes. I created an account and submitted the claim within ten minutes. When I did not receive a call back the next day, I called back. Again I was on hold instantly and waited for over 45 minutes to be answered. This representative informed me that by submitting online, they have up to 72 hours just to call back. He told me I should have started the claim over the phone. Thankfully I had uploaded several estimates and proof of all of the needed repairs when I filed electronically. The adjuster was able to pull up the quote and approve the claim on this call. This call took over one hour and ten minutes. We had the parts ordered and car repaired the very next day. We would have still been waiting for the original call back. We submitted the faxed copy, signed by the customer, that same day. After two days of not being paid, I decided to call in again. Every call at this point has been well over 45 minutes, just to be answered. Always a different excuse. Too busy, understaffed, phone problems and now security issues on credit card payments. I have been calling every day for over two weeks! All calls to customer service, claims or payments take over 30 minutes to be picked up! 888-994-0914. I called the warranty sales number three times and it is always picked up on the second ring. 866-924-4773 This did not help in my situation as they just transfer you to customer service to wait an hour again. Still currently on hold as I write this review fo one hour and ten minutes. Had to inform my customer that I will never take this warranty again!

I'm not sure what to do now

I'm not sure what to do now - continue my coverage or cancel it. Seems every signing up review is excellent but every claims reviews is horrible. I don't want the nightmares I'm reading about.
