Vi har købt billetterne gennem Expedia med flyselskabet Viet Air, og har nu modtaget en mail om, at flyet er aflyst, og at vi selv skal lave en ny reservation.

Når vi ringer for at få hjælp, bliver der lagt på. Vi er blevet sendt videre til tre forskellige personer på deres telefonnummer uden at få nogen reel hjælp.

Meget frustrerende oplevelse – vi kan ikke anbefale at købe billetter gennem dem.

Our flight has been cancelled.

We purchased the tickets through Expedia with Viet Air, and we have now received an email informing us that the flight has been cancelled and that we need to make a new reservation ourselves.

When we call to get help, they hang up on us. We have been transferred to three different representatives when calling their number, without receiving any real assistance.

This has been a very frustrating experience, and we cannot recommend booking with them.

Scam company…if you like to talk to…

Scam company…if you like to talk to young people sitting all over the world and talk and act like robots only say the same stardard line can’t help with anything Expedia is something for you. Also Expedia like to send you e-mails saying you get and answer within 48 hours and then after you get a new email saying you get an answer within 48-72 hours and so on

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience – I Will Never Use Expedia Again

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Expedia, and I feel obligated to warn others before they end up in the same situation. I accidentally selected the wrong date for a hotel booking, and as soon as I realized the mistake, I cancelled the reservation within about one hour. Despite this, Expedia still charged me 2100 DKK for a one-night stay that I will never use.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is the complete lack of understanding or flexibility from Expedia’s customer service. I contacted them immediately after noticing the issue, expecting at least a reasonable conversation or some willingness to help. Instead, I was met with a cold and unhelpful response telling me that there was “nothing they could do,” even though the cancellation happened almost instantly and the hotel had not been occupied, used, or benefited from the booking in any way.

It is absolutely unacceptable that a company of this size cannot handle a simple human error with any kind of fairness. Most reputable travel companies offer at least some level of customer care or courtesy when a mistake is reported right away. Expedia, on the other hand, seems far more interested in keeping people’s money than in keeping customers satisfied.

I strongly advise others to stay far away from Expedia. There are plenty of other booking companies that actually care about their customers and handle situations like this with professionalism and empathy. Expedia has shown me that they do not deserve my trust, my money, or my business ever again.

Save yourself the stress and disappointment—use any other booking service but this one

HOPELESS Customer service

HOPELESS Customer service.

I have been trying to purchase a package trip with my family and the checkout page won't let me move forward because I get an error saying that the child must be under 24 months. I have not added anyone under 24 months, I've searched for tickets and reservation for a child that is 12 years old.

Calling customer service, the man was first unable to understand me, then insisted I just buy everything seperately. Then said I can retry and see if that works. How is this even a thing? The error is in the EXPEDIA website. Waste of time

Dont buy any insurance from Expedia

Dont rent a car and do not buy car insurance from Expedia.
Rental companies do not accept the insurance from Expedia. Som you have to pay to rental company, if you had an accident...And you will not get any help from Expedia.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at Rigoletto Rental Rooms (booking number 72067121017389, October 13–16, 2025).

Unfortunately, the room was in very poor condition upon arrival:

Several items in the room were broken or damaged
The room was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned properly
There was a strong sense of humidity and dampness throughout the space

Due to these unacceptable conditions, we decided to book another accommodation through Hotels.com instead. We therefore expect a full refund for this booking.

Please confirm that you have received this complaint and advise us on the next steps to obtain a refund. I can provide photos or other documentation if needed.

I want to get my money back

Was supposed to be there for a few days in week 28, we got sick and cancelled, our stay, within the deadline we thought this was so cryptic in the conditions that it was not understandable. But we booked a new stay in the same place a day later when we were healthy enough, and everything was fine we paid and had a few good days. They then also deducted money for the first stay, we complained and we agreed that I would pay for them for the first day, and I would get the rest of the money back after 7-10 working days, this has not happened, and have complained but they do not respond, can in no way recommend this hotel and hotels/Expedia through which the stay was booked

Card security breach - awful service / never again …

Dont use Expedia

They will scam you.
They stole 2400 dollars from my wife and I.
We had a package deal booked from Expedia with flight, car,hotel, and flight home.
At the dollar car rental they did not take our bank card (even though it went through our own bank) we ended up in the bad neighborhood in LA and dollar said to too get the refund from Expedia.
Ended renting from a other place.
Next morning calling Expedia.
They said "well you didnt get the car so we cancelled your flight home" everything else was checked in flight there and hotel, but not we had to spend 1200 us dollars each to get home on economy plus.
In a panic we agree and guess what it was our original tickets.
So now we got scamed for 21000dk by Expedia and no one will take responsibility w

I am leaving

After hotels.com have been taken over by expedia, there is no service anymore. They have charged my creditcard for a stay with a bookingnumber that neither homepage nor phone (dis)service recognize, and they are both robots that expertly send you in circles. There is no way whatsoever to get in touch with a human. I was more or less happy with hotels.com until this takeover (though it was impossible to book business stays for larger groups). Now I am leaving.

BOOK WITH EXTREME CAUTION.

Avoid at all costs, looking for a hotel I drifted on the their site. I have never used them before and never will again. The process of find a hotel and room is ok but the availability fails as the first month displayed is not the current month or the next month as on normal sites. Unaware I pick the date required to confirm a price wanting June 6 I got July 6. Then somehow I had booked it, realising what I had done I went on their change dates, to change from July to June would cost me more that double. If a few weeks had gone by and I tried to alter the date I would understand but not even 5 minutes later.
Still believing that it could be sorted out I tried their customer services, what customer services, there isn’t any. If you book with these people and make a mistake you up the creek, if something was to go wrong you will be stuffed

Expedia is not a reliable platform

Expedia is not a reliable platform. I wrote a balanced review about a terrible hotel they advertise (Bella Sky Copenhagen) and Expedia deleted it. I believe the reliability of their reviews is therefore questionable, as they seem to filter them - maybe in order to influence the rating of accommodations.

Made extra expense based on promised refund, just to get rejected the refund later

I booked a rental car through expedia, but when I wanted to pick it up, the rental company offered me a car "in the same category" that had 30% less trunk capacity and at best half the charging speed of the advertised car - not expedia's fault. I called expedia from the counter, they called back the rental company, and when I finally asked if I could cancel the booking, expedia offered to pay the difference for a specific upgrade, they send me an email confirming that and asked me to send in the invoice. So far so nice!

Unfortunately, now three weeks later I still hadn't received the money, so I called again, and after a 40 minute call, they plain and cold rejected my claim because "the car was available".

I would have never picked that expensive car, if it wasn't for expedia's offer to refund.

Terrible and expensive experience, never using them again.

I booked 2 flights on January 9th, one of which had the wrong last name. We have then called countless times, only to be told that the name change was made without a fee and that we would receive a confirmation by email. Not only does it take 1 hour to 1.5 hours to be on the phone with you each time, the change never happened. There is music on hold 80% of the time instead of communicating to the customer what the problem really is. We therefore call again and are told that the change cannot be made (even though they promised last time that it was OK), and that they require 1200 kr. to make the change. The fee is in principle OK, but you should not promise the customer that no fee is necessary, and then charge it later. They then deduct the 1200 kr. BUT they still have not changed the last name/sent us a confirmation/corrected our ticket and it has been 13 weeks. Furthermore, you don't hear a word from them after the money has been withdrawn even though you write to them and say that it hasn't actually been resolved even though they have repeatedly claimed that it should be fixed. Unbelievably poor customer service, this is definitely the last time I will ever book with Expedia again.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever, very bad service. Tried to book twice for the same flight, it ended up being sold out, som I had to cancel both reservations and I hope I will get my money back.
The service is horrible, it seems like they are really trying to help, but it really is just a mess and kaotic. I received multiple mails from different employees saying the opposite things

Avoid at all cost 

I am disgusted if the way Expedia has treated me. After spending thousands of pounds with them over the last 5 years. Today I have been trying to discuss the booking over. Called 4 times, kept me on the phone for over 30 minutes each time and then, put me on hold and hang up the phone.
Honest to God. The company is below a (1 star)

If I can give anyone any kind of advise. Please avoid Expedia. They have no value or loyalty towards customers. After this, I will never book with Expedia again.
