LONG STRUGGLE OVER 2 MONTHS TO FIND SOLUTIONS VIA PHONE

MANY FLIGHTS HAVE BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID.
I HAD TO FIGHT TO CHANGE MOST OF THEM AND DEDICATE LOADS OF TIME VIA EMAIL AND CALLS TO DO SO AND FIND A SOLUTION AT ALMOST NO COST.
STILL STRUGGLING TO CHANGE THE DATES OR GET MY MONEY FOR 2 RESERVATIONS INVOLVING LOW COST AIRLINES IN ASIA.

Robbery…

Package (flight and hotel) to Amterdam (April 28th to May 3rd) for the whole familiy.
Flight cancelled by airline.
No refund from Expedia/hotels.com, no respect of French Covid's specific regulations (18 months global voucher).
The only answer is 12 months voucher for Air france and 12 months voucher same hotel in Amsterdam...

Escroquerie et catastrophe totale expedia est en partenaria avec des sites completement frauduleux tels que love holidays qui vous debitera immediatement une reservation en suite introuvable aupres de la hotel!!!

Smooth service - recommended

Used Expedia to book a trip to New York in March. Really easy booking system incorporating hotel, flights and transfer, and happy with the price. No hidden extras.

Struggled with entering the visa info on the API section so contacted Expedia customer services who entered the information for us.

Happy with the regular updates about our trip and the ease of the Manage my Booking.

Would recommend and definitely use again.

customer services, give me a break!

I made a trip to New York in 2016, full (hotel + flight + bonus limousine) with my family(5 pers) for more than 8000€. I earned some points (16617). I change 14000 points for a 100 € coupon 10 days ago. I wanted to use this coupon to book an hotel (i have tried for a trip to Barcelona before, not possible, I called saying i cannot use it, I was told that it would be used when I payed. I called Expedia today to book an hotel (much simplier reservation), again, pay and the coupon will appeared on the bill. Well no as I fear and expedia refuse to refund this 100€ on my visa.
I have really enjoyed my trip to NYC along the expedia app, I decide I will not use expedia anymore, period. Custome number 2370876246

Your price guarantee is worthless

We booked a hotel in Thailand, then later that day we saw that it was much cheaper on Booking.com. We sent Expedia France an e-mail and they replied 2 days later. They agreed that their price was higher but had to escalate to another department as it was a large difference.
We took a screenshot of the booking.com page but they now won't refund us as the screenshot didn't contain the date of our reservation - even though their 'customer services representative' had seen the Booking.com price.
Your price guarantee is worthless.

No refund double booked flight

I made a booking on 23/6/15 for a flight from London to Paris with Cityjet on 30/6/15. After making the booking online I waited for a confirmation email. After 15 minutes I checked back on the Expedia page, which said that 'unfortunately they had not been able to complete my booking and I should try again'. I did, and within another 10 mins I got 2 confirmation mails. Same flight, same person, obviously a mistake. Contacted Expedia immediately next day, and was told they were going to contact the airline for a refund. Have called them many times for a month, but did not get a refund. Small print says it can take up to 24 hrs for a confirmation email to arrive, and I should have done that, in spite of the webpage having said they could not complete my booking. Finally I contacted my creditcard company, AMEX, who picked up the tab and reimbursed me. Terrible service by Expedia!

Expedia is by far the worst!!

Talking about customer service one of the worst here is my experience so I called looking to speak to a supervisor so this lady first started here conversation by name Janet and when she knew that I was extremely upset she was ending the phone call as name Betsy I promise this is the absolute truth ..so after addressing my complaint to her about the inconvenience of the multiple vouchers that I booked through them her first respond was (you need to contact the third party sir we have nothing to do with this) so at this point I was extremely aggravated here are the items that I booked with expedia : 1- flight which was about right but that's normal airlines don't mess around 2-rental car and what you see for rates are no where close to reality oh and their $9 insurance isn't something to count on based on fox rental car claims plus I wanted a sports car and got a Chrysler 300 instead but I don't know who to blame on this one 3-1hr Yamaha wave runner on things to do and here on that one I had to take my rental car drive up 4.5 miles from where I was staying at then park my rental at a public garage for $40 then walk up to this place called jet ski water sports rentals and show my voucher ..the first thing the guy says to me (WE DON'T ACCEPT VOUCHERS FROM EXPEDIA BECAUSE THEY DON'T PAY US) once I heard that I took off immediately got back in my car and drove back to the hotel 4- miami party pass another scam ..once I arrive to the hotel I was suppose to call them to have my pass sent to the hotel guess what I booked 4 nights for this pass so called to get it and they are only opened from. Wednesday up until Sunday from 2pm til 9pm and I arrived Sunday around 5pm called them around 6:30 pm to let them know I like to claim my pass and no one was there to answer the phone specially that I followed all instructions to redeem my voucher by calling 48 hours after booking through expedia ! 5- hotel number 2 which I thought after going through all of this that expedia isn't going leave me dissatisfied well guess what I thought wrong ..so I wanted to cancel my 2nd hotel reservation only because of the hotel I was staying at offered me a really good rate and I knew that my cancelation was late prior to date to avoid any additional fees but come on after all of what I went thru you people don't think I deserve a break ..they and the proof I called to explain so this rude lady talks to me on the phone oh and she was a supervisor as well and I tried to tell her what I went through and her answer was (what does this has to do with not charging late cancelation fees ) right there I knew I wasn't getting any special treatment for what been through!! I know that my review isn't going to go too far but I figured I share my experience to help save other people from going wasting their money with expedia.
