I had an extremely frustrating experience with this garage and would strongly advise others to think twice before using them.
I initially paid for a diagnostic to find out what was wrong with my car. They claimed to have "fixed" the issue and sent me on my way, but the problem came back just a few days later. I had to take the car straight back, and they told me they would carry out another diagnostic free of charge. However, this somehow turned into a £5,000 invoice - despite the fact that they still couldn't even tell me what the actual problem was.
Communication was terrible throughout. They didn't bother to call me with updates, and I had to chase them myself just to get any information. Even then, they couldn't give a clear answer, and the diagnostic report didn't properly explain anything either.
The service overall has been rude, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. I'm left with a huge bill, no clear diagnosis, and a car that still isn't fixed. It honestly feels like they're taking advantage of customers.
I would not recommend this garage to anyone.

My 11 year old 150,000 mile Freelander2 developed noise and vibration in the drive chain. My local garage reccomended I take it to Express Gearbox in Portmouth which I did, a week before Christmas. They very quickly diagnosed that the transfer box bearings needed replacing, and a low battery voltage was causing the gear selector to not work properly on first starting. They changed the bearings, fitted a new battery and got it back to me by Christmas. Very efficient. There was still some vibration from underneath so they took it back, found a lose heat shield, which they fixed and it has been fine ever since. They did not charge me for the second visit. Very professional and prompt service. I highly recommend.
