Utterly appalling service. From the initial quote on 08.01.2026 to be told lead times would be 5 - 8 weeks. Advised a surveyor would be visiting the following week for me to chase up twice before the surveyor made the initial visit late January. After then chasing up both the Hull and Scarborough office for updates to be told the Surveyor would need to revisit.
He eventually revisited on 12.03.2026, provided plans and I agreed EYG to proceed. Having heard nothing further since then, I have spent nearly 2 weeks trying to obtain an installation date to be told today the job cant be done!!! I asked for details as to why to be told the MD said it cant be done??? But Why?? I was told I would receive a full written reason as to the reason why yesterday...but, no surprise, heard nothing!
Was the job too small, too big...or they dont have the qualified staff to do the job?
Would highly suggest the management team look at the customer service provided as it would appear, its severely lacking! Would not recommend this company at all.
Having then contacted the Finance team yesterday for the return of my deposit, and being told it was processed yesterday...the payment still has not been received.
Unbelievable!

Brilliant service from start to finish. The initial home visit was friendly and professional, with no pressured sales pitch just and understanding of my requirements and the options available. The time scale was reasonable and on the day of the work the two fitters could not have done more to satisfy. The end product and service exceeded my expectations.

Great customer service from the day I rang for the salesman to come to our house.
He was lovely not “pushy” just literally asked what we would like showed us the options went through everything we wanted it was so easy.
The order went through no problem and I was kept informed all the way through.
The guys came to fit, they were lovely nothing too much trouble, left the kitchen spotless
Just an amazing company and quality doors and windows I have had 5 windows and a door this year off EYG I would deffo recommend

I was cold called repeatedly and felt pushed into buying something, the workmen came to install our French doors and one in particular showed no respect for our home or anything in it he walked around like he owned the place also put dirty containers and tools onto our bed where I have an expensive velvet throw and didn’t bother to cover it first, they never cleaned up afterwards and left screws and bits of wood on the floor for my dogs to find and chew which could have resulted in an expensive trip to the vets, I saw a phone charging which could have been done at their own home before they came, the door frame and glass was dirty which I had to clean, and they didn’t install the doors properly either and one of which wouldn’t shut let alone lock, not only would I never use this company again I wouldn’t recommend them to my enemies let alone friends I felt very let down as I’ve never had any problems with other companies.

Right from the initial inspection and measuring the whole service was quick and efficient. The two men who came to do the fitting were friendly, efficient and managed to do the job without any mess being created.

AVOID THIS COMPANY
We asked the EYG salesman for a maintenance free front upper and lower bay windows in March 2024. We live in a conservation area so planning permission had to be applied for, we were concerned about this as several houses in this area had been refused planning permission, the salesman responded with “it may take some time, but we can do it, maybe back end of this year or early next year 25.” We then asked him if planning permission was refused would we get our £1100 deposit back, his reply was “YES but they would deduct the planning permission application cost i.e £200”. So we signed their contract under the impression that our £1100 would be refunded if planning permission was denied
After this initial consultation, on no occasion did EYG contact me, the few times I needed info, I had to contact them.
They initially sent a surveyor round, who pushed a lump of metal into parts of the window, damaging the frame, who then informed me that the upper part of the windows could not be done and we would have to paint it ourselves, this was not in the initial contract that we signed. Then a few weeks later a second survey was performed, as they never got it right the first time. Several months passed when a third survey was done, as the initial surveyer had left the company, the third surveyor said that the sills could not be replaced and we would have to also paint them ourselves. That's not what we signed up for, nor was it in the contract. A few more months passed and I happened to check on the council planning lists on the internet, only to find that they changed the plans for the actual window frames taking 4 inches off each window, once again no consultation and certainly not acceptable, at that point I phoned EYG and spoke to their sales manager for the first time, and the plans were once again changed, this shows the incapability of EYG’s surveyers.
Finally the planning permission was refused by the council. I phoned EYG as they haven't officially told me that planning permission was refused and still haven’t several weeks later, and speaking once again to the sales manager who I phoned, who initiallly offered me only £500 refund, but later after speaking to him a second time, he informed me that the fee for obtaining planning permission was over a thousand pounds, and that he told me this earlier on in the year because its on his records, It may on his records but the first form of communication was when I initially phoned him, so this is untrue, surely this is a case of their surveyors being incapable of doing their work correctly, and charging for incorrect plans and also being misled by their sales staff. The sales manager couldn’t resolve the problem and told me one of the directors will contact me. Im still waiting
I’ve emailed them on several occasions with no response
09/05/23 and also on the 13/05/25 . One the 29/05/25 I phoned them again but with resolution and waiting for the directors call. I also emailed the director with no reply.
UPDATE:
"We would welcome the opportunity to review the details of your case and the communication surrounding it. If you’re happy to do so, please contact our customer care team at customercare at eyggroup.com with your details so we can investigate this further and provide a full" response.
UPDATE:06/03/26
Do you not think it would be more personal to contact me, instead of giving me the opertunity to contact you, its been several years since your LYING salesman took a thousand pounds deposit, promising a guaranteed instalation. You still havnt contacted me nor returned my deposit.
PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY
Obviously They never read the full review

We had a front porch extension by EYG and we were delighted with the quality and the workmanship. The fitting team were polite and friendly and did an excellent job. Delighted and would reccommend.

We arranged for a quote to build an orangery. A salesman attended and we talked through our requirements. A price for the work was agreed and an arrangement was made for the salesperson to attend and we would go through the contract. On arrival, he told us that he had made a mistake with the quote and wanted £1700 more in order to complete the work and he had been told that this increase would have to stand. We were shocked that we had reached this stage and further money was required. This has shaken our trust in them. We have declined to pay anymore. The company should not be asking customers to pay extra in these circumstances. This error was down to their own doing and if they wish to show that they provide excellent customer service then the original quote should have stood. We are very disappointed with the way this has been handled. We do not feel valued customers. Prospective customers should be aware that their quote may not be accurate. In our case they put company before customer.

This company is always advertising but never reply to your interest.
I have left three emails, wanting quotes on Doors and Facia boards.
Not one reply, lost interest now, as it certainly put me off their service, if something goes wrong with product.
Avoid at all costs.
The installation team and sales team were great but as for getting contact with customer service to fix faulty door forget it. I have emailed Julie and Jason and customer care and filled in the online contact form for the past month and no reply. I had an engineer come out just before Xmas to fix it turned up after waiting most of the day to say it’s two man job he can’t do it and would contact us after Xmas. No contact yet and a faulty door still in situ and no fixed and not secured shut poor show have given them plenty of time to come back but now feel I should leave the review it’s been almost a year since fitting
We spent over 4 wasted months trying to get EYG Scarborough to fit a disabled wheel access door.
In the end we sent them this letter of complaint to head office.
In July 2025 we requested for a door to be put on our workshop, Jamie came out and gave us a quote which we accepted minus 20% VAT for disabled access. Josh sent me the contract and asked if we could reply accepting it minus the 20% which I did. Please note that my name is incorrect on the contract, My name is Jed not Jeff, I did point this out to Josh at the time and others that have contacted me throughout the last 4 months, however this still appears not to have been rectified. Since then there have been numerous calls backwards and forwards with Josh and other staff in the office, they continually keep sending people out to our home to give us quotes for the same job, they keep saying they will get back to us the same day or the next day and they never do, we have been told surveyors are coming only for other people to come wanting me to sign documents that I have already completed and demanding a 10% deposit. For four months now we have been extremely patient, listening to their excuses and lies. This is very unprofessional, if EYG does not want our custom then please let us know so that we can contact another company and leave our reviews on other sites for other potential customers.
Regards
EYG Head office never replied to a formal complaint they asked me to write.
I rang EYG Scarborough and josh said, the accounts manager had said, we are not dealing with the HMRC Disabled tax wavers.
I printed out that it's just HRMCs form to give to the accountants to file so they don't have to pass it over.
Josh said the accounts manager said, we have not handled vat tax paperwork for disabled people and we are not starting now.
Absolutely disgusting company to treat Disabled people in this way for over 4 months before dropping us off a cliff at the end.
EYG Discriminating against Disabled clients is absolutely dreadful.
I'm speaking legal advice
I have recently had my windows replaced with EYG. They have been fitted to a high standard and excellent quality product. The fitters were very helpful and clean.
