Excellent service

Went to the Bolton branch for a puncture repair. Excellent service from Carl, despite the branch being very busy and it being a relatively low value transaction. Highly recommended.

These guys go above and beyond

These guys go above and beyond - first visit helped me source a handbrake switch and then fitted it for a fraction of the price BMW had wanted to charge me. Today problem with the car overheating and fitting me in tomorrow and sourced me someone to transport the car to them at a very reasonable price. Walkden branch also been helpful with tyres and windscreen wipers.

Best garage in Bolton

Had my MOT & Service done by the Bolton Team. Were great to deal worth from start to finish and did a whole load of work on my car for a very reasonable amount. Will definitely keep coming back to them.

5 star experience from Ben and his team…

5 star experience from Ben and his team at Formula one Bolton. Called in to ask about getting my heat shield sorted as it was rattling like an old cage. Ben diagnosed the issue and the fix and I also asked for a quote for 2 new tyres at the front whixh were.looking a little worse for wear. Ben quoted me and told me they could fit me in the same day which was brilliant as it allowed me to get straight back on the road! Fabulous service all done with a smile and so competetively priced too!! Have booked to get the brakes done next month and also to get my MOT and service too!! Thanks Guys 😊

Beware of Overcharging – Check Before You Agree!

I took my car in for a service and MOT yesterday. The booking process was simple, and the price seemed reasonable at first. However, things took a turn when I called at lunchtime to check on my car. I was told it had failed its MOT and needed £680 worth of work, including wipers, brakes, discs, pads, alignment, new spark plugs, and filters. I was shocked!

After questioning the cost, they dropped the price to £380 but insisted the work was necessary. Feeling pressured and needing my car for work, I reluctantly agreed to a payment plan. Later, after checking online, I realized I could have had the work done much cheaper elsewhere. Worse still, when I finally collected my car, I discovered it had only actually failed due to the windscreen wipers!

I’ve since complained and was told I need a VAT-registered garage to provide a quote if I want to dispute it. The whole experience felt misleading and unfair. If you take your car here, double-check the MOT failure report and get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs!

Bad balancing and no car over Xmas.

Had 2 tyres fitted, within 13 hours one tyre had deflated due to a faulty new valve fitted. Could not use the vehicle all over Xmas, took it back (15mls.)and was told they would have to order a new valve, eh?, no valves in stock but about 150 tyres on the shelf. Slight altercation and a new valve was fitted there and then.
I paid for dynamic balancing on both wheels, but on the first motorway trip at 65 mph. The steering wheel could not be held because of vibration, so they got that totally wrong. Back again to get that sorted.
Would I use them again?, probably not

Bolton store delivering the goods.

Recently visited the Bolton store for 4 tyres and full alignment and tracking. Store went out of their way to source the tyres I wanted and fitted them at an extremely competitive price. Advice given but no hard sell regarding anything they find in the process. Easy going staff who don’t intimidate and answer all the questions. Would highly recommended.

Bolton branch

Bolton branch - Manchester road ! Went for an MOT this morning only to be told on arrival that the MOT tester had rang in sick ! Surely someone could have called to say don’t come and rebook it in for me ? It’s a 25 mile round trip for me so to arrive there and be given this information is very poor customer service !

If i could give 0 stars i would

If i could give 0 stars i would.
3 visits to F1 autocentree for a handbrake fault, £1200 later, only to find they completely misdiagnosed the fault.
Finally had a full repair and report from Halfords, only to find a bundle of errors by f1 auto's.
They'd not only installed the wrong brake pads, but neglected to reattch the damn hand brake cable!!
In the words of the mechanic who fixed it, i had in fact been driving with no rear braking for the last few months.
Auto F1 Auto's in Wigan at all costs!!

Then comes to the best part. Contacted the careline to raise a complaint. They asked me to take it in to be fixed and they would beat halfords quote by an additional 10%. The incompetence and the cheek knows no boundaries.

First order MOT and re-gas

First order MOT and re-gas, to make sure my car will be ready for hot days, and brought my car to this centre which I have been loyal customer with all 3 family cars for more than 6 years. So brought my car, and guy very arogantly completly ignored me while he was on the phone, so waited for 10 minutes until diferent person came in, so finaly I have been served. I came early so my time was after 45 minutes, but in less then hour I saw my MOT failed. which is ok, car is not new. one tyre had a buldge which i did not saw, so that was suspisious, break fluid been changed to pass MOT? that was new to me, but most anoying thing was that air condition not been refiled, but they happy took money from me. I know, new guys trying to impress Andy, but is it worth it to loose loyal customers?

1st Class in customer service!!!

This was 1st Class in customer service!
I called at 10.37am this morning ( A Sunday as well!)
Paul answered my call he was very friendly polite and helpful, told me to take my car straight down.
Again on arrival both Paul & his colleague Oliver, who carried out the work were really friendly and nice.
I went shopping within the hour Paul called me to advise me of the findings, New back brakes and discs were required ( I’d let them get too far gone !!! ) Paul gave me a quote. Which was very reasonable. I gave the go ahead and at 1.38pm, Paul called me to advise me my car issue was fixed & ready for collection.
From drop off to collection I was back on the road in less than 3hours… I really felt the need to write this review because this service was impeccable and exceeded all of my expectations!! I was worried of how I was going to navigate my working week! Paul and Oliver basically took the stress, inconvenience and worry away from me…. Thank you to you both, I’ll be back in may for my service & MOT.

Staff very friendly, honest & helpful.
I would have given 5 stars but for the delay in the vehicle not being ready.

Horrible service I have ever received

Horrible service I have ever received. Took my car to them for MOT. They failed it without providing any specific information. Charged me £37 for engine diagnosis. Provided wrong information which was absolutely funny. The staff are not well trained. Send me back to Mercedes to repair. I got it repaired from Mercedes. The engine warning light went off. While I was driving the engine warning light light was off. While they drove my car to the MOT centre, the engine light came back. They might have done something weird but refused to acknowledge.

MOT Testing

MOT slot booked and paid for using the F1 Autocentre on-line services three days prior to the MOT (Bolton). I spoke with the manager on the morning of the MOT to make sure all was in order for the arranged slot. When I turned up for the MOT I was told that the vehicle has not been booked in and an alternative date would now have to be selected !
I consequently found another MOT Test Center that would accommodate me on the day. This is a unreliable, unacceptable and unprofessional service by F1 Autocentres that cost me time and expense.

Avoid at all costs !!

Avoid at all costs !!! Ruined my car, fitted the wrong size part, car was declared unsafe for road use by the manufacturer, these cowboys dragged it out taking responsibility and left a disabled person (which they knew) without a car for weeks on end, after they were told it was unsafe for the road they wanted me to drive it 30 mins to another location to be looked at, they malfunctioned the keyless system which they knew because they had to show me how to start it with a faulty system, ripped off a part underneath and cable tied the remaining part on and said this would pass an MOT if they did it, several occasions they told me my car was safe drop it off after hours and post the keys, their cameras are fake which they admitted in email after I requested cctv to be reviewed of them wiping the key system, all admitted in email that they lied, they’ve also lied to ombudsman ! Time to find a solicitor!! Avoid at all costs, they don’t care about customers

REPLY - motoring ombudsman favoured the garage because they cannot get involved in your extremely poor service leaving a disabled person with no car and allowing them to drive away with a wrong part and loose wheel ! Disgusting you’re happy with that
