Formula One Autocentres - Chesterfield 2 Reviews 

Left wheel for a new tyre as I was due to go on holiday that day. Tyre I wanted was not a standard item, so had to order it in.
Got back to a message saying wheel was ready for collection.
Refitted within 10 mins

Quick service online and having tyres fitted, gentleman was polite and did a good job in quick time, always use Formula One after having problems with other garages in the area of Chesterfield Derbyshire 👍👍

I have now used this F1 garage twice in Chesterfield and both times, I found James and all the rest of the team extremely helpful, friendly, approachable and professional. More recently I asked James for a second opinion on several issues raised by Arnold Clark, Chesterfield who serviced my car. They had stated both on the video and written report that various repairs / replacements were required, some both urgently and recommended. James and his team very kindly and thoroughly checked all these issues .After their various checks James gave me a very honest opinion and it turned out that everything that the other garage had advised to be done were not necessary whatsoever at this this time or in the near future!!
I can honestly say that they all went over and above what I expected from them , spending longer on the vehicle to give me complete peace of mind. I would always highly recommend them for their honesty and genuine advice , unlike some car garages who hope that you will panic and get them to do all the work that doesn’t even really need doing at all!!

1. Took multiple minutes to acknowledge me when knew I had entered store. Poor first impression.

2. Misleading regarding oil selection. Was told the service couldn’t take place at all without paying an extra £25 for oil. At this stage I had no choice. There should be an option to use standard oil at the customers choice. This is how they recover the cost of a cheaper upfront price clearly.

3. Service seems to be based on upselling rather than what is actually needed with spurious ‘extras’ advised

4. Was told I would be let know when car would be ready but wasn’t confirm until I called myself much later in the day

A detailed explanation as to what repairs needing doing before my car could pass its MOT.

Service has always been exceptional when I have had my car serviced here. Thank you.

James provides excellent friendly service. A very trustworthy person to deal with when you have no idea about vehicles. Dropped my firms van in on the Saturday and collected Sunday so this had no affect with my work.

Find Formula1 very helpful and competitive. We have been to them several times for tyres etc. Just had an compressor fitted for the Air Con and re-gassed. They fit me in quickly and job done at a good price. Nice guys, would definitely recommend.

Absolutely diabolical service from the whitting Moor garage went in with my car not starting properly and asked them to check alternator and battery they did and I asked for new battery that I paid just under £140 for to then not be able to set my clocks or start the car after couple of days so had it into my usual garage to find out its wrong battery I spoke to the blokes down at formula 1 to basically be told its my car that's got problem not there battery but iv had new starter motor all new cables al contacts cleaned and car still wouldn't start put yet another new battery on and car running perfect so rang again to formula 1 to just get yelled at and phone put down on me discusting customer service

Outstanding first class service, fitted me in next day and sorted problem, phone call as promised.
They are professional, helpful , prompt, you will not find any better. Can’t praise enough

Fantastic F1 garage on Sheffield road in Chesterfield which carried out our full service & MOT in January 2023, we had just moved to the area. Very helpful and reasonable, don't oversell.
I had to go to the F1 garage yesterday (Sunday 20 may) at 3.35pm (they close at 4pm) as an engine warning light came on and said urgent repair!! They were extremely helpful, didn't rush me, found the issue using diagnostics and had me back on the road, even though it was closing time. Very thorough, very helpful and highly recommended

Great place, really friendly, had 2 new tyres fitted and were really good and great price. Going for a service this week so hopefully will be as good. Went to Chesterfield Road and he was miserable and didn't even say hello.

No seat covers used, dirty footprints left on car mats and overall messy look left all over tyres / wheels
Drove car like it was in formula 1 but then were very slow at fitment. Over 1.5 hrs for two tyres
Also no invoice given. Told it would be emailed but never was

Chesterfield Branch, Sheffield Road. Excellent, friendly, efficient service with helpful advice. Nothing is too much trouble. Definitely recommend and will travel from Sheffield to use this centre again in the future. Very happy when I left. James and all staff appeared hardworking and competent. Another member of staff, may have been the manager was particularly helpful along with James

Highly recommend the guys at Formula One, Whittington Moor branch! I had great service from Matt, James and Danny. Very friendly, knowledgable staff who make you feel comfortable, even when I asked silly questions 🤣. Great value for money and fast service. Can’t ask for more. 👌🏻

Brilliant service from both mechanics today in the hot weather fitting 2 new front tires.
Excellent price, quick turn around and looked into something extra upon request.

Couldn't fit they tyre that I'd already paid for and selected the slot.
Booked through a tyre provider and basically told it's not their fault, the company book people in and don't tell them... What a stupid business model!

A little disappointed that I had to return as my tyre pressure warning light would not go out the explanation was that they had not inflated my tyres to the correct pressure which does not Instill a lot of confidence in the the tyre fitter who renewed my tyres.
