MOT woes
Car booked in for 09.15, dropped it off and went for a coffee, came back and 10.30, car not even gone yet, the guy apologised but no excuse was given. Sat and waited, and waited,and waited. Eventually car was returned at just after 1pm, again apologised but no excuses, didn't even offer some kind of discount or voucher,3 hours wasted waiting for the car, however, car passed, but, I won't be going back.

Great experience at Long Eaton Formula One today. Phoned up at 11am booked in for 11.30am and tyre was repaired straight away. Staff were polite and courteous, would highly recommend.
Lying about service.
Took car for a service, had my suspicions about them anyway due to my previous service. (Went back because reasonably priced, close to home and wasn't 100% on last service).
Night before I have took pictures of my filter and marked an x on top in the debris.
The day of collection I returned home and opened bonnet to find same filter and the x I etched into the dirt had been (poorly) covered. Drove down there where the manager/chargehand etc was CERTAIN that it had been changed yet once I mentioned the pictures he then said he will take my word for it and 'someone's head will roll who did it'. He then said he will personally see to it that if I leave my car a new filter will be added. I explained that his staff will simply deny it then my car will be left to potential sabotage because they have been busted for lying. Again I said why don't you come and look at my car compared to the photo I have as surely you want to see it with your own 2 eyes before you bollock someone???? Again said he believes me (although he was certain at forst the filter had been changed. I demanded a refund which they willfully accepted then upon leaving he says 'I can assure you sir the engine oil is fresh as I did it myself'. So you did the oil but someone else did the filter was my though but at this point I simply ignored him and left the shop as I was fuming tbh. The place is riddled with lies from shop floor to management. Take at your own risk...there was a reason I had my suspicions.

Pre ordered a set of front tyres
Pre ordered a set of front tyres, prepaid when I got there they said they didn't have a booking. He eventually found it as there system didn't put it in properly. This caused the main issue, the attitude. Swearing storming around shouting.this is not someone I want to hand my keys to and trust with my car when he's in a foul mood. The speed of fitting was great however was ruined by the unprofessional attitude.
Update, I've sent feedback directly to formula one auto centres through the link they've sent I've heard no updates or acknowledgement of the issue I received.

Not mechanics!
Car was supposedly serviced back in Feb 25 and during this service they told me that the reg light wasn't working so before doing any actual work I drove to Halfords straight away to get a new bulb only to find that the reg light was working as I thought - and cos I had seen it working the week before! I should have known at this point not to take it back as they quoted me £750 altogether for new battery, budget tyres, reg light, air filter and service. Long Eaton f1 also let me drive away with battery not secure and fastened back in. I didn't find this out until the other day when doing some routine checks. When I took it back they told me that it would not have got through it's mot like that but a coil they replaced without the spring mount did, - that they also had to fix when I took it back - this was after the mot. I pointed out that there is also a split in the air box putting the screw back in that wasn't there before, and they laughed about it. They also laughed when I explained that the garage where they had it mot'd had let me drive away on a car that collapsed two weeks later, they laughed and said that's cars for you, when it was clearly unsafe to drive, this was my experience and all three men who were stood there thought it was funny undermining me. I have taken it to an independent mechanic who are appalled at the damage and shoddy work done to my car. I also had to replace a centre wheel cap after the guy refused knowledge of it missing. These guys just do not care! Never had such shoddy customer service like this before!

From start to finish this is the worst garage I've ever been too.i will make points of issues
.from the garage on the day dislocated the wheel locking nut and a manger on site trying to blame myself when I checked prior it was in the glove box like most people on here would leave it,to when getting home finding under the driver's. Seat and the garage saying I must of put it there so lost a day of pay from work as took the time off for this recharged visit to Saturday
Saturday spoken to garage about issues at this point still the issue with wheel nut not resolved and garage saying he knows the apprentice didn't move when he was nowhere near the car and I informed him I would be seeking customers support to being told he would cancel my appointment while I was there,went out and showing him where the wheel nut was found to him going head with with wheel change pro wheel balancing and alignment and winter checks
When I asked the manager about the wheel balance was instructed they don't put weights on as the fall off,then I asked about checks as I didn't hear the bonnet being opened I was told already done...at which point he pulled in car park and said finished I asked about the alignment which I paid for and he was swearing about this after pulling in as he had forgotten this and all I could hear is him swearing and banging about like he had thrown his toys out the pram, after this pulled out garage at the point I asked have they done winter checks again he said yes and I mentioned no bonnet pulled so how did they put screen wash in with him having to
Ask the person who lost wheel nut if they did it and they hadn't..
After all this I left and put forward a complaint about the series of events and the area manager wasn't forth coming at all kept calling on a withheld number andi missed and would not give me contact details after emails I was supposed to be reimbursed for the alignment and balance as I don't think done correctly via phone calls and I never heard anything again from them
So in my opinion the person who told me there good service I advised them and they said won't use again and I won't be using..
And I would suggest people clearly giving them locking nutts as from what I heard locally there always trying to get out of work and since the old manager left it's gone down hill
NOT GOING BACK.
Put the car in for 2 new tyres. Provided the lock nut adapter for the alloys. When I went to pick the car up they had broken one of the lock nuts and it had stuck in the adapter. Apparently this was now my problem. Sent me away with a useless lock nut adapter and 3 nuts in one of my wheels instead of the required 4. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN.

Was not going to leave a bad review even though apparently trained mechanic couldn't remove a very tight locking wheel nut in attempting to do so ruined the socket .It's, because of a mix up they removed the only good tyre and left a bald one on and put it had legal tread on the paperwork. So firstly had an extra bill to remove and replace wheel nuts and then purchase another tyre elsewhere to replace the bald one . Not great servic Long Eaton F1.
