Used them numerous times before and all good,this time mot failure on headlamp alignment,
Advised new headlamps at cost of £200 plus or try new bulbs.
Opted for bulbs as I knew headlamps were good.passed with new bulbs but at £51 thought was steep and not needed.
Think we were taken for a ride.
Won't be using again

Had 2 tyres fitted today .. great service from booking to driving car away. Friendly staff was back home within an hour. Good quality tyres.

Booking was easy, next day service, new tyres and payment options.
What’s not to like?

This garage has sorted both my vehicles plus my parents. My brakes had a fault last week 3 days before I was booked in for an MOT. I visited prior and Martin (manager) topped up my brake fluid. This was topped up twice and when the MOT was carried out it failed. I dropped my car on Sunday & collect it today (Thursday) after having both brake linings replaced on the rear wheels. Cannot thank Martin & the team enough. I even called this evening to thank him again & let him know how much better my brakes are.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with great communication. A pleasure to deal with and highly recommended.

Fantastic customer service. I arrived 40 mins before they officially opened and on a fully booked day with a puncture. Despite this, Jordan , offered to sort the tyre before they opened. Amazing 👏

Rang to get a mot but they couldn’t do it. Then 2 hours later they rang me to say they had a cancellation that day at 2 . Great service staff had a great sense of humour too!! Great waiting area with magazines . It would be lovely if you could have a coffee machine out in 😉!!

Formula 1 Longwell Green provided an excellent and prompt customer service for work on my car, all completed on time.

I’ve used this garage for the last 3 or 4 sets of tyres I’ve needed, mainly due to local convenience and the fact they price match. I’ve never been overly impressed but today’s visit was even worse. I had ordered the tyres on their website and when I arrived the guy who I believe to be the manager was lent on the counter with a clipboard. I hadn’t even got through the door and he barked “front or rears” I kept quiet as I assumed he was on the phone, nope! He was talking to me. When he stared at me I said hello, but instead of greeting a paying customer with any sort of welcome he just barked, front or rears again. I sarcastically said Hello again but he either didn’t understand the sarcasm or just didn’t see a problem with his customer service. He then held out his hand and said “got the car key” once the two tyres had been fitted and I was home I checked the tyre pressures to make sure they were all right. Once I’d managed to wade through the gallon of tyre soap left all over the tyres and my wheels I found one tyre had 26 psi and one had 39 psi, they should have been 32 psi. They obviously have no idea what a torque wrench is as all the wheel nuts were extremely tight and needed to be loosened and torqued back up correctly. Extremely poor service for such a simple job. Won’t be returning.

Disappointing. I got a puncture 23:00 last night. A long screw tapping each time the wheel rotated. No problem I have a plug kit. I pushed a plug into the hole and it seamed to work. Got home and booked an am repair for the next day £22 paid. Arrived at 08:30 @ Longwell Green depot. Told I hadn’t read the email that said booking was 15:15! (No email). I pointed out it’s not a problem as the tyre is plugged and not deflated. Went back at 15:00 and told they can’t touch tyres that has been previously repaired so I needed to buy new tyres. Strange that when booking and paying, there’s no reference to problems with plugs. A great way to earn £22, but more importantly tie up my entire Saturday. I can only assume most people cave at this point for new tyres. I have ordered 4 new tyres to be fitted elsewhere. The cars being traded, but only fair. These had done 7000 miles. I suggest you don’t pay upfront with this company. It’s on £22, but a great earner for zero input. I even had to supply my own jack point!

Absolutely brilliant service! I won't go anywhere else in future.
I had a small emergency with the car after all the heavy rain and they fitted me in to take a look and fixed the problem swiftly. No other garage in the area was filling to even look at the car without a wait of at least 3-4days.
There people here were SO helpful and I can't thank them enough.

Despite a major part supply issue, (not F1 fault) the staff were helpful and friendly throughout and resolved as speedily as was possible. I would recommend for service and Mot.

Very disappointed with F1 Autocentre in Longwell Green, Bristol.

My car required an MOT. It failed and I agreed to the necessary repairs. I also asked for an oil change. However, I was pressurised / persuaded to have a major service instead. They were also extremely keen to sell me two tyres although only one had failed the MOT, and to do additional tasks such as wheel tracking. In any event, although the cost was escalating, I agreed. Nevertheless, It did rather feel as though they were desperate to meet a sales target.

Unfortunately, when I collected the car the bill had increased significantly from the already inflated figure that I’d agreed to. This was, apparently, because they’d had to have someone in to remove the locking wheel nuts. This was news to me and didn’t really sound very likely. They hadn’t contacted me about this and the key was a replacement one from McGard which was only a few years old. Anyway, without my prior agreement, they had charged me about £75 for the wheel nut removal and about £60 for new locking wheel nuts.

So, £75 for something which may not have actually been necessary and which there is no evidence of having been done (the old wheel nuts are not available for inspection). And £60 for new locking wheel nuts which could have been bought for about £30 if they’d just trotted 30m across the road to Halfords.

We’ve used F1 for years without feeling ripped off. We're now very disappointed and looking for alternatives.

Also, we agreed to them fitting new disks along with new brake pads, and we're now wondering whether or not these were necessary. I rather suspect not.

There's not much point in complaining to them; I have no confidence that there's any real prospect of any recompense. I’ll just leave this negative review and try to put it behind me and move on.

An update: 17th July 2024 - I have been sent an email telling me that I authorised the locking wheel nut removal and replacement. This is incorrect. They did not consult me and I did not authorise the work.
So, rather than apologise to me they have been provocative. In view of this, instead of putting the matter behind me and moving on, I shall now escalate things.

A further update: Following this review, I was contacted by a senior manager. He initially said that the store manager said I'd authorised the work. This wasn't correct and I wasn't very happy about the implied suggestion that I was lying. I suggested a better customer relations approach and proposed some text along the lines of "we apologise for the misunderstanding and offer some money as a gesture of goodwill". I then received a reply which almost quoted my text verbatim and offered me a partial refund.
My complaint wasn't really ever about the money. It was about their contemptuous attitude. They could have saved an awful lot of grief if they'd just offered an apology and some compensation in the first place.

Glad I found formula 1 garage. Just a five minute drive from me. This was my third visit. Use for service mot and any other car repairs I need. I recommend their professional service 💯.
