Formula One Autocentres - Newbury Reviews 

Absolutely dreadful. Took my car in to F1 Newbury to have new top mounts and drop links, which I paid for, and was told they only put the top mounts on as the drop links were okay (not a standard practice as both should be done as a matter of course) drove the car off and it was still making an awful sound. I took the car back in and was told the drop links needed replacing!!!! To make matters worse I was told it would cost another £180. To make matters worse I was then told I would have to pay more money to have the tyres re-aligned, again for a second time.The original quote was for £185 yet I ended up paying nearly £400 and had to argue to get a partial refund. The manager was rude, and continuously talked over me and refused to listen to any sort of reason. The matter was escalated to head office and after a few days I received a call from the area manager offering me a partial refund. To be honest I should have received a full refund and feel this should have been offered immediately as the issue was of F1's own making. However by this time I simply wanted to get away from F1 as they were clearly just trying to hit margins and targets with no regard to the customer or the issue at hand. The customer service and the whole episode was dealt with in an appalling manner and had I not experienced it first hand I would find it hard to believe a company and their representatives could be so bad. Reputation is key and I would never take my car to F1 again. I suggest others steer well clear. If I could I wouldn't even give them 1 star as that feels generous!!!!

Awful company who don't look after there staff or customers!

I went into my local branch on Saturday for a tyre change only I accidentally ordered the wrong tyre. I explained that my tyre pressure light kept coming on as there tyre was losing air so I thought it must be a puncture. The guy behind the desk offered to take a look for me and found no puncture and it was potentially something else that was causing the problem which he hopefully has rectified. It was done quickly and the refund done promptly great service and being honest with me about the tyre went along way will definitely go back and use them again.

Had my MOT with Newbury branch this week, a really positive experience, staff are really friendly and helpful, will definitely use them again, really easy booking appointments too!!

Big shoutout to Ethan at the Newbury branch, who helped diagnose an engine light which had come on multiple times within a few days. Always managed to fit me in on the same day no matter how busy they were and constantly kept me updated with any findings, helping calm my concern at a very stressful time. A real credit to the branch! Big Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Booked for my range rover to be mot’d online turned up for the mot to find they didn’t have the right equipment to mot my vehicle no one called to advise us the machine was not working and left me with no mot a wasted journey and they still haven’t refunded me !

Despite being flat out so not able to sell us a tyre. Ethan was really kind and helped us fit our spare tyre in no time flat. Thank you Ethan and “pretty boy”. A really fast pit stop!

Car has new MOT, tyre only advisory, told my wife, new pads on rear needed and discs and possibly calipers, lol god loves a joker, took back to MOT centre asked him to retest, print out shows nothing wrong , never to return to F1 45 minutes to fit a tyre, boys doing a man's job, not to be trusted,

Brilliant service and friendly and did not feel ripped off. Went in after advice I needed 4 new tyres, F1 told me I only needed 3, tracking advice and I agreed, they showed me on the computer that my wheel alignment was out, again I did not feel ripped off. Excellent service

I knew Dan the manager and Ethan from the Newbury branch and they took excellent care of me and made me feel very comfortable and I will be coming back for future appointments

I took my BMW there for a major service on Saturday and the customer service was fantastic. I had to have 4 new tyres fitted as well. One of the new tyres had dropped in pressure once I got home from the service, called the garage again, and they took my car back in at 5pm to rectify the problem. No complaints about working past the garage closure time either. I will definitely be getting all future services done here. Thank you Ethan and the technician who sorted my car.

I got a flat tyre and went to Formula 1 Newbury for a replacement. I spoke to Jazz and he was absolutely amazing. He didn’t have the tyre in stock that I needed as it was special run flat, but he called the supplier immediately and arranged for it to be delivered to the garage first thing in the morning. He called me at 0840 the next morning and by 1000 my car was sorted, and I was on my way! I highly recommend him and the service he provided – really great stuff and I will definitely use Formula One Autocentres again.

I'm extremely happy with the service I got from Jazz over the past couple of days, we initially come in with a screw in the tyre. He then noticed our wheel nut was damaged which he advised us the cheapest quickest option to fix it when I can guarantee other places would've ripped us off. He was very helpful and fantastic customer service. Will certainly be carrying on bringing my cars to this garage.

Been to formula one in Newbury this morning for an MOT..
I had to wait in the car for a while and saw the employers arriving at work.they looked happy..
The service was brilliant and quick..and Jazz was very friendly, like everyone else in there...I will definitely go back there and can only recommend that place..

I've taken my car to Formula One Autocentre Newbury for MOTs for the past couple of years and yesterday I took it in for a service. I'm very pleased with everything - really helpful, experienced, honest and friendly team (especially Jaz) and very competitive price. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Jazz and colleagues super helpful with rescheduling MOT re-tests to get me back on the road as soon as possible. Much appreciated!
