I had the most bizarre encounter at the Sheffield Branch. I went for an MOT, they said give us about an hour. Went back after 65 mins to be told we’ll need another half an hour. So I left again and had to go back 40 minutes later to collect my car. I walked into reception to the man holding my car key out. He uttered nothing and simply said bye. I left and when I arrived home, I had to check the status on the gov website to see if it had even passed!!! It also had an advisory, something that was never mentioned on collection. This could have been extra business for the shop if he had said something. I found the whole experience weird. Never in my life has an MOT tester/ colleague not discussed anything to do with the work carried out. - BIZARRE BEHAVIOUR. The irony in that we took my Dads car to the Rotherham Parkgate Branch and they could not have been more different! 1st class customer service, gave a paper certificate of work done and discussed findings. If Halfords is ever fully booked again, we’ll return to the Rotherham Branch and ONLY this Branch

2 stars unfortunately for this location. Arrived Saturday earlier than my appointment which was 09:15 because it was mentioned in the e-mail to arrive 15 min early. I got there at 08:45 to change my tyres. The guy at the desk a middle aged gentleman repeated what I’ve told him already that I came a bit earlier and he doesn’t know how much time will take although were only 2 cars in, 1 for mot and 1 on a ramp. He asked me if I return and I said no as I will wait and I sat at the reception contemplating on my phone. While contemplating I remembered that f1 Autocentre in Colchester had a waiting room and I was questioning if these guys have one as well. I sat standing around 30 min, but the said gentleman he didn’t even bothered to invite me in the waiting room/viewing area because why “manners”. In the end I asked myself if they have one and he showed me the way. I didn’t invite myself earlier because is no signage at all (I bet the people from health and safety didn’t check this location, through). They changed my tyres and I’ve asked the same gentleman at the desk if they put my tyres in the boot and his answer was no, because they recycle/dispose them (I bet at over 5.5mm you definitely “recycle/dispose them) anyway luckily for me when the mechanic took the keys I’ve told him to put the old tyres in the boot which he did. Upon handling the keys the same gentleman told me the rear pads are “perished” quote on quote and the front ones still have a bit of life in them and the discs have a lip which I actually confirm it myself to him as I’ve already knew that. Left heading home, with the thoughts of worry about my perished pads and being a Saturday I’ve ordered something to measure the pads on Amazon. Monday came and measured myself the pads and also confirmed with my trusted specialist Volkswagen that my pads are actually in good condition. 8 mm of pads front and rear.
This is a DISHONEST way of tricking the customers that they “need” a service which they actually NOT need.
The 2 stars 🌟 are coming for price of the tyres which was the most competitive on the market. Things to note as well is that the rear guard for the discs was bent, perhaps from a bad manhandling of the tyres upon changeover.
Looking back, when you think that f1autocentre in Colchester done so much work for me until their manners fell short as well, looks like this is a organisational problem.
DISAPPOINTMENT !! to say the least…

DO NOT USE .tried as needed quick MOT and had service at same time they tried telling me that my rear brakes were on limit and needed changing. I had only had them done 12 months ago with 4k miles on them they were like new. also picked car with tyre warning lights on he said they'd not doe anything at it could be faulty and need changing. it was because they had lowered the pressure to 34/35 when they should be at 39/40. I went filled tyre pressure up and light went out. also the track rod needed changing to pass MOT they said to get free mot retest you need to get the work done with them and charged £170 for a job that would normal cost £90.my advice stay well away I have a bit of knowledge with cars so imagine someone who is unsure they would scared into work thats not needed

There was a problem with TPMS system which usually means a new sensor. I took the car to the Greenland road, Sheffield branch. The guys down there are great. They sorted the problem quickly. The system just required resetting not a new sensor which saved me around £80. I’ll definitely be using them in the future. Highly recommended.
Booked MoT on line - arrived at Sheffield store - Mot done very easy and Saj was very helpful and knowledgeable when I asked a few questions - highly recommend

Dropped in to have a tyre replaced and was assisted by Connor. He went out of his way to not only change the tyre, but examined under my 15 year old car to correct some parts which I didn't know needed urgent attention. Thank you Connor , for making my driving safe today!
F1 Greenland Road look after our fleet vans really well at BPDempsey so I gave them a call late on Saturday afternoon when I got a screw in my tyre , without mentioning where I work , and was in a bit of a flap before a long journey.
Connor fitted my Skoda Karoq in straight away even though they were busy and it was late on and sorted the tyre out with no fuss for a very fair price. Many thanks Connor, Its really appreciated !!
1st time user, ordered online as most competitive price.
Prearranged fitting appointment went seamless.
Honest friendly staff who gave impeccable service. Highly satisfied with the service and cost. Would recommend to all.
I cannot praise the staff and service enough during my visit to Grenland Road F1 Autoservices, they are genuine and the price is very competitive, these are now my new garage and wont be going anywhere else
Turned up on the day and they checked car. Advised to drop off following week. Excellent speedy service and car no longer rattling.
Excellent customer service helped me out and checked car and helped after mot was done spent extra time to help can’t thank the staff enough.
After half a week of waiting for my appointment I got a call to cancel it the morning of the appointment due to supply chain issues, being told they couldn't say when the tyres I'd already paid for would be delivered and it wasn't their fault, so not even an apology from them. When I did get an appointment for tyre fitting, the fitters snapped 2 bolts off on 1 wheel and then informed me I'd have to drive to a garage in Rotherham (fitting was in Sheffield) with a defective wheel, where this garage would remove the bolts that they'd damaged, then I'd have to drive it back minus 2 wheel nuts, and I'd have to pay this garage for the privilege of removing the damage that Formula One Autocentres staff had done. When I refused as the vehicle wouldn't be safe to drive like that, they reluctantly removed the 2 nuts that they'd damaged in the first place (so why tell me I'd have to drive to this garage in Rotherham)? At this point my appointment had dragged on for 2.5 hours and counting for fitting 4 tyres. I also asked for the best tyre of the 4 already fitted to be used as a spare (2 of which were more than legal as the car had been MOT'd only days prior), and 1 of the new 4 tyres to be fitted to the spare and put on the car. Quite a simple request, 4 new tyres would be fitted to the car and the spare would have a road legal tyre on, so what did the staff there do? Put a knife through the 4 fitted tyres and not leave me with a spare. When I complained and said this isn't what I asked you to do, I got told if a car comes in with a decent part worn we'll give you a shout and you can come back and have it fitted, but then in the same breath to be told that would be highly unlikely as my wheel size was quite unusual. So no resolve to be offered.
So in summary the staff at Formula One Autocentres messed my appointment around, damaged my car then advised me to drive a defective car, oh and did I mention that they lost one of the wheel nuts? No apologies offered, no resolve.

I first took my car here on the 9th November 2023 after I noticed juddering from my car. I have a 25 year old car which every other garage I’ve rang has either refused to touch it or straight up never contacted me again. I went here and the customer service and the help I received was so exceptional I’ve been going back ever since. As you can imagine on an old car a lot of work needs to be put into it and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trust to take my car anywhere than here, and I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Connagh (the assistant manager) to touch my car. He went above and beyond to make sure my car was perfectly fine on multiple occasions. You can tell he has a great eye for detail and is really good at what he does. He doesn’t take any steps without consulting me first and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything he’s fixed so far. Since I first came here I also recommended my mom, my brother and my partner who all took their cars specifically to him for help and we are yet to be disappointed. I would highly recommend to anybody to take your car here and you will be well taken care of :)).
Called in to F1 Autocentre in North Sheffield - a work colleague had told me that he thought one of my wheels was shaking so I went in to get it checked out . Turns out it was only a wheel trim that was coming loose which they sorted and they also pumped up all my tyres . They refused to take any payment which was unbelievable service , I will definitely go back to them for any repairs and would highly recommend them .
