Formula One Autocentres - Swindon Reviews 

First visit to the Swindon F1 autocentre. My wife's car needed new rear brake pads and rear disks. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dropped the car off at 1030 and picked it up at just after 2pm. The car was clean and ready when we turned up. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful without offering too much information. I'm very comfortable recommending the Swindon branch. Good pricing. Thank you.

Only if there was an option to give zero stars for this garage. I booked in for full service and mot together. Left the car for service at 8:30am and was told it would be done by 14:00pm. Well, no call from them till 17:30pm. I then called to ask if it was done and they told me to collect it by 17:45pm as they wer closing at 18:00pm. I left home to collect my car and I get a call saying the servicing was not done due to a wrong part delivery. So they told me to collect my car the next day at around 9:30am. I went there next day at 9am and they said its almost ready and I waited there for an hour and asked them if it was ready as I was getting late for work. To my surprise they said that the part was still not come yet. And it's on the way from Liverpool with euro car parts. I was furious coz all this while they kept telling me lies. I told them to order the part from swindon euro car parts but they refused and then after i demanded them for my car right away, they ordered the part from swindon euro car parts and fixed it. I had to ring in sick at work coz i was stuck in the garage. They then said sorry and I didn't take any action until my mot day came and I took the car for mot and again when I came back to take my car.. they said that the mot was not carried out due to typing error of the registration number by this man called Shane at the reception who put completely different car reg on my appointment slot (the same guy who kept telling me lies about the servicing) . He kept lieing saying I didn't give the reg right, then saying I didn't pay for it and so on.. but luckily there wer other guys who knew what I had said. Anyways, he then ran away with his bike and I was literally crying coz I didn't know what to do. Now the other guy Martin has sent an email saying the money would be refunded but after one week till date I have not received any reply or refund from them.. I strongly recommend NOT to book in services with formula1 autocenters. Horrible experience.

The staff don't care in the slightest. It's like an episode of the Office but worse. After speaking with the least intelligent human being I have ever met in my life I gave up and went to another tyre shop. I wouldn't trust them with a wheel barrow, they'll lose car keys, forget to call you, will be running 2 hours behind on their scheduled appointments and do so with a 'meh, it happens' attitude. I'd rather crawl over broken glass than go there.

Speedy great service today when I needed an urgent repair on my car. It was fixed the same day at a reasonable price. Martin showed me the broken spring coil and leaking shock absorbers so I could understand the problem. All fixed quickly. Great service!

Arrived 15 mins early for an MOT at 08:30 to be told they have a car stuck on the ramp and they could not guarantee that the MOT would be done.
No call the night before when they were aware of the problem, half an apology for causing the problem.
I would suggest taking your car somewhere where you can rely on the company to provide the service.

Completely gob smacked at how lazy and incompetent these people are I will never use formula1 again and neither should anyone else if you want quality honesty and the job done right go to Malvern tyres in old town

Booked a slot to have my windscreen washers looked at.
When I arrived the person on reception just wasn't interested in me explaining what the problem was and took my keys.
2 hours later my car was still in the car park so I asked the same guy what was going on. Miraculously my car was in next. A young mechanic can in 2 minutes later to say my washer bottle was split. I explained the pump had come out and that was the problem. He just said the pump was broken and they couldn't fix my small problem. I will never go back!

Visited the branch in Swindon and had a Mot & repair carried out for my daughters car. Fantastic and honest service received and special thanks to Brandon & Harry. Went above and beyond in getting the car sorted and roadworthy again :)

Can't fault the service or the helpfulness, other than the delay in actually starting the work having booked an appointment.

Found a nail in my tyre at 4pm on a Friday and was driving to London on the Saturday - these guys came to my rescue and repaired my tyre.
I believe it was Lee at the branch (apologies if I got that wrong) but they were so helpful in my hour of need

This was my first time of using formula one autocentre at Elgin Drive Swindon. I want to thank Brandon and Lee, particularly Brandon, who was due to fit my front tyres! I had paid almost £250 for this service. However, Brandon had advised me that I still had alot of wear on the older tyres and did I really want to change them? (I was wrongly advised by a dealership that I needed new tyres!! ). I want to say 'thank you' for your honesty Brandon. Service like this, deserves to be mentioned and held highly! I will be going back to this company when I REALLY do need new tyres! If you value honesty and good customer service then this is the place to go to! Thank you.

Phoned up and able to fit my tyre within 2 hours of call. Thank you

Disgusting service, takes 2days to do full service plus MOT definitely wouldn’t go there again, staff haven’t got a clue what they are up to, taken in at 8.30 am Monday and not touched until Tuesday morning, then added on all that needed doing as did MOT first 🙄

Lee and the team provided a warm welcome and great service today. Great service, great team and great value tyres. Highly recommended..

Had a fantastic experience. Had 2 front tyres and tracking done. Very polite staff and always happy. Will go back again.

Customer service needs to be reviewed the manager has no manners and is not good with people at all

The waiting room was freezing the customer toilets were not fit for a dog let along a human being.

We arrived 20min before our appointment at midday told on arrival it would be 20 min finally got out at 13.00 . No apologies nobody seems bothered . Unable to use the toilet due to the state more like Glastonbury . Shocking service AVOID if possible.

This is my third visit to your center in Swindon. I've never had any issues before, but this time, I was completely disappointed with the service. I came in for a tire replacement, wheel alignment check, routine winter check, and windscreen fluid refill. Unfortunately, only the tires were replaced. When I inquired about the remaining services, I was told they didn't have time as they were closing, even though it was 4:00 PM and they close at 5 PM, which was my scheduled appointment time. Additionally, the young lady there was very unpleasant, so rude, not professional at all.

Booked my car in for a Service & MOT on 5th Oct at the Swindon Store, had a couple of simple issues to sort for the MOT when it failed, and had to replace both of the Front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint dust covers, collected my car on the 14th Oct. But still not passed the MOT, had to take it to a auto electrician as they couldn't get the front side lights to work. Turned out both front light assemblies needed to be replaced as they were faulty.
At least the Regional Manager approved a free retest on returning the car to them once light assemblies replaced by the other company.

I have used F1 auto centers in Swindon twice, the first time was about 2 years ago to get my brakes and discs changed. 2 years later i'm a little more mechanically minded, i go to change them myself to find they have completely destroyed the screws for the discs so i was unable to remove, clearly have used a power tool to put them back on which has stripped the screws completely.

2nd time was only a few weeks ago, i had just cleaned the carpet in my car and my floor mats, when i got the car back there was oil all over the carpet and floor mats from the mechanics shoes, had to be completely wet vacced again. not only that but getting in and out they had scratched the door card multiple times.

I can only speak about my own experience but to me it seems the mechanics employed there do not care at all about the customers vehicle.
