Fantastic service from the first query to the handing back of the boat, always friendly, available and very helpful.
Boat in very good condition, only I would have preferred with an autopilot.

Very good experience - hadn't chartered before so didn't know what to expect but boat was new, in good condition and ready to go. They were very accommodating about a bad weather postponement and our request for a brief boat handling demo which was invaluable. Staff very friendly, helpful and relaxed. Nothing not to like really.

Excellent- probably the best charter company I’ve used!

Use Fairview a lot and never had an issue, boats are well maintained and service is always spot on. Why would I use any other Charter company.

Since I have been using the service of Fairview for min 5 years now, I have come to know this company very well.

and - last, but not least - very cool guys at Fairview’s base in Port Hamble Marina!

Used this company for years for training, race charters and also family cruising. Highly recommend they are friendly reliable company with boats that are well maintained, with all the safety equipment, charts, and support you would ever need no matter your level of experience.

When Fairview take your security deposit they actually charge it to your credit card and hold it in their account. It isn’t like a car hire company or hotel who pre-authorise or ring-fence an amount on your card. You really pay Fairview thousands and they hold it for weeks. Although the deposit was refunded following the charter it took 2 weeks, meaning I actually had to pay that card bill and was left £2,500 down until the card company made a special refund. A shame as otherwise Fairview’s service is very good. Just remember they’re making money on your security deposit and so I won’t use them again unfortunately.

Super professional service and boats are top-notch!

I chartered from Fairview Sailing in June 2019, for a family sailing holiday in the Solent area, the yacht was very well equiped both on deck and below deck, it was clean and well presented and the staff were both helpful and friendly, we had a great weeks sailing.

Spotless, well maintained boat. Quick handover and flexible over return. Second time I've bareboated with Fairview and it's consistently excellent.

Really good service. Used them quite a few times now - check in/out is very smooth and the boats are modern and taken care of.

Oarsome Dream was a great boat (Dufour 46 GL) - sailed really well and super comfortable - flexibility about extra day was greatly appreciated - no concerns about boat quality or safety - thank you for a lovely week.

The yacht wasn't up to a rough channel crossing. The fitting of cupboards and drawers was so poor they came open in the rough seas. Despite marinas withdrawing hose pipes the yacht didn't have a hose which meant a large number of journeys between two and filler cap carrying a heavy can of water. The lines were unnecessarily long which with the absence of any means of managing the lines meant they were a major inconvenience. The pilot that had been committed at the time of booking wasn't available at the handover. The excellent service we received on previous charters was missing, maybe something to do with the company apparently changing management.

Can I say BIG THANK YOU to Chris Jackson and team.
We had a fabulous weekend with weather to match.

Both skippers were very impressed with the boats and the overall efficiency and attentiveness of your staff both for initial and final hangovers.

I only have two concerns which I must mention.

On the initial handover it’s very difficult to spot all the blemishes on the boats particularly on the side we can't get to.

I find the online sednasystem is not the easiest and in my opinion may require some fine tuning of the software, namely at one time the crew list details require their shoe sizes!
Also I’m very concerned about adding personal data of the crews DOB and home addresses onto online systems, but I understand the need for the NOK.

As you are aware we have been using Fairview for many years now and plan to continue. We all appreciate great service and a great product.
We have and would certainly continue recommending Fairview.

Excellent service for the past six odd years. communication when booking, communication on arrival and when departing is very good.Form filling, the inventory check before and after is made very easy.
I would and do recommend FV to anybody who wishes to charter on the Solent and abroad. Ask FV first before anybody else is my mantra!

I've been using Fairview since 2013 for a variety of charters for myself and my clients. Their fleet is always impeccably maintained, issues that arise dealt addressed quickly and the team always professional. Quite the opposite of chartering in the Med!!!
