I booked my trip for Ethiopia with Far and Wild. Found everyone I dealt with very helpful and knowledgeable and even when the trip was cancelled due to COVID the staff were still helpful and refunded me in full. Hopefully we can book again in the future!

I cannot speak highly enough of Far & Wild. We had originally booked a family safari to Botswana & Zambia but Covid meant we had to change our plans. Alistair & Peter worked tirelessly to design an alternative safari that was possible in the Covid environment, and despite both safari camps & airlines constantly cancelling on them they persevered to deliver us an amazing holiday. Thanks guys for going above & beyond - you'll definitely be in our future travel plans, whenever the world opens up to adventure travel again!

I had a trip booked to Sri Lanka for myself and a friend in September and Far & Wild gave us a full refund of our deposit, no fuss. I am very sorry that we were not able to travel as their assistance in booking the holiday had been excellent with a lot of care and attention given to our itinerary based on our wishes and flexibility in adding in any other locations requested. I have every confidence that it would have been a well-planned wonderful holiday.

My daughter and I were due to travel to South Africa and Mozambique in July - the borders were shut and BA cancelled our flight - Far and Wild were excellent and kept us informed and have refunded our deposit immediately when requested. We would certainly use Far and Wild again and hope we can travel with them to Africa in the Spring of 2021. An excellent company and I would certainly recommend Far and Wild Travel.

We have spent the last 14 months eagerly anticipating our adventure in Africa meticulously planned and organised by Peter at Far & Wild.
Victoria Falls,sunset river cruises,camping in Botswana, luxury lodges in Okevango Delta and 5 star hotel in Cape Town. It was truly going to be a great holiday to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately Covid19 changed all that and our departure on 21st May had to be cancelled as Africa had closed its borders..
Alistair at Far & Wild went the extra mile in keeping us informed of developments. When it was apparent that the holiday couldn't be changed to other dates there was no hesitation in refunding our money, in fact the money was back in our account within a few days.
Certainly a refreshing change as our holiday in Cape Verde planned with another tour operator that had been cancelled in March resulted in a voucher being issued and we are still chasing the refund. Same with BA and a booking we had with them.
When this pandemic is all over and Africa opens its borders once more we shall certainly be re-booking with Far& Wild Travel. From the initial consultation they have been the consummate professionals throughout.

My partner, her son and I booked a safari to Botswana to celebrate my 70th birthday using Far & Wild Travel, who went the extra mile to organise the trip of a lifetime. We were due to fly out on 12th May for 19 days.
The trip was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and disappointed doesn’t begin to describe how we felt at not being able to go. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances it was not possible to re-arrange the trip for a later date. However, Far & Wild Travel did not hesitate in giving us a full refund for the trip and we would not hesitate in using them in the future.

My wife and I had a wonderful 3 country holiday booked through Marc of Far and Wild Travel to see the amazing wild life and beautiful countryside in September 2020. After all Marc's hard work planning the holiday we wanted, we have had to cancel the holiday because of the Coronavirus pandemic. We were most impressed to find that Ben of Far & Wild Travel refunded our deposit monies, in full, without any hesitation or delay.
When it is possible to travel to these countries again without travel restrictions, we will certainly use Far and Wide Travel as they are both professional and trustworthy.

WOW, what a trip we had to Kenya! We had the most perfect 2 weeks organised by Far & Wild. 5 different destinations, all just beautiful, each offering their own unique experience. Highlights included the Arc, the Reteti elephant orphanage, black rhino stalking at Saruni Rhino, leopard & cheetah viewing at Saruni Samburu & bush school & just the general loveliness at El Karama.
The communication between Far & Wild & the local operators was seamless & with no organisation on our part we just gilded from the most fantastic place to the next!

It was the most amazing holiday ever. Each place we stayed had a magical element.We can’t thank Ben and Al enough for the really wonderful holiday they planned for us. We managed to see so much game and watching the elephants cross the Ewasa Nyiro whilst eating our breakfast, so special. I’ve waited 50 years to see a leopard sitting in a tree and able to study it for such along time. El Karama an incrediblly special place and wonderful for children. For that something extract choose book Go Far and Wild.

If you’re an experienced, flexible, and hardy traveler, Ethiopia is for you! Far and Wild Travel did an excellent job organizing and providing the logistics necessary for travel in this part of the world. They incorporated our suggestions, matched us up with others, and supplied the excellent guide and drivers. We could not have been more pleased!

We explored both the south and north over a three week period. Both were culturally fascinating and geographically diverse, but with the high altitude and under developed infrastructure, travel is challenging but well worthwhile.

We’d highly recommend using Far & Wild to organize your trip. You won’t be disappointed.

We've just had an amazing time in Kenya thanks to the advice and great organizational skills of Marc at Far and Wild!

Everything went so smoothly from pickup to visiting an elephant orphanage, onto lunch then the Giraffe sanctuary. On to the safari by train to Tsavo West, the rangers were so determined to make our experience perfect. Killaguni has the most amazing watering hole - one evening we saw a family of 13 elephants including 3 baby's - in our own back yard 🐘. We also saw a leopard🐆.

On to pinewood in Diani beach, white sandy beaches, blue sea, camels & cattle (yes really).

Went diving - fantastic reef with unspoiled coral & large turtles too!

Sorry this went on but we did so much in 10 days!....and we still chilled out.

From the first contact Far & Wild were first class. Marc listened to what we hoped to do for our trip to Nairobi, Masai Mara and Zanzibar (a slightly complex trip visiting friends, safari and beach break, all with a three year old in tow!). Marc provided helpful advice and suggestions throughout the planning stages and created the dream trip for us. The perfect way to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary and introduce our love of Africa to our daughter. Thank you Marc for your excellent, friendly service and for creating a seamless adventure. We will be recommending Far & Wild without hesitation!

BEST HOLIDAY IMAGINABLE - 16 Day tour of Rajasthan November 2019. From the very start of the planning stages through to the end of our holiday - everybody and everything was superb. Far and Wild listened to our requests and arranged a seamless itinerary. We mentioned we liked walking and they arranged 2 amazing walks (both of which were so memorable - walking in the foothills of the Himalayas with views over to Tibet ; as well as impromptu cup of teas at the top of a hill provided during our walk near the Amber Fort). All the hotels were perfect with a special mention to the Dera Mandawa in Jaipur.
I again emphasis that the itinerary and attention to detail that Far and Wild put together could not have been improved in any way.
