British Academy of Fashion Design Reviews 

A wonderful course for anyone with limited time or mobility issues. Cannot recommend it enough. I desperately miss my in person classes as the teachers were so experienced and helpful!

I recently finish my course, after 5 years as the course took 4 years and I had to extend one more year. 1st year I attended the course in Manchester which has not been helpful at all because we had a classroom and there were no studio vibes at all and then I changed to home based course. I had applied for the HND but I left 3 modules to do as I was not on time, anyway on the certificate I has all the modules I have done after the 15 which are a HNC. I have to say that sometimes I felt helpful and other not because of my tutor. Generally I am happy with what I have learned even thought I would like to finish the 3 modules I had left.

I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the teachers’ kindness in guiding us through the first class as well as their patience!

I am thoroughly enjoying my time at BAFD. My tutors are supportive and extremely knowledgeable. I am doing the HNC course and I’m loving every second. I like that to begin with I had face to face tuition with Deb - who is just fab and she continues to support me online. I hand my work in to Patricia who is also brilliant and supportive. Both respond to any queries very quickly and feedback is always encouraging and constructive. The course material is easy to follow and is broken down well. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to work in fashion design. Thank you

My learning experience for the past two months with British Academy has been smoothly satisfying. Starting with reading all the reading materials, student handbook, and additional information, also getting familiar with navigating the online learning center and viewing a list of exciting questions and answers relating to my course does help me. Recommended reading and websites link resources are beneficial for my study. Tutors always provide respectful professional assistance to their diverse students, which is a plus for the study environment very welcoming for me. My tutor's fast response and professional comments on my marking sheet encourage me. And I am looking forward to my next assignment. Overall it is an excellent experience when it comes to the whole learning structure. Thank you for all you do.

The experience has been great so far. The academy always picks up my calls and helps me when I ask for advice. Furthermore, they send me useful information regarding creating a portfolio and assignments, etc... I would recommend this course.

What made my experience great was the access to my lecture, even when she went on leave your progress doesn't stop as there is another lecture that will take over for the time being. Also, they are swift at responding to all my queries. I find the feedback extremely valuable, which challenged me to do better with every assignment. Everyone, has been encouraging.

It's a great way to get ahead in your career. From my point of view, it is a whole profession that I have newly learned.

I'm really enjoying studying for my HNC in Fashion Design. I'm on a home study course but it's been so easy to get answers to my questions and feedback from the tutors. There are also lots of great resources and ideas on the learning platform - I'm finding it much more interesting and useful than many other online learning platforms that I've used.

Very helpful when initially enquiring; ensured I enrolled on the most suitable course of study. Very quick enrolment; I was set-up and had access to all the course material shortly after enrolment/payment. Study portal is both well structured and intuitive; tutors are knowledgeable, friendly and always contactable. Really enjoying my study so far; at my own pace!

British Academy of fashion and design offers more than you may expect. In my experience, since starting the course, my passion for design have grown more and more. My tutor Patricia is always helpful, supportive and encouraging. There are plenty of resources to learn from that I found very useful. This is a great course if you want to become a fashion designer and developer a career within the fashion industry.

So far I have had a very positive experience of my HND. Communication from the academy is excellent and we know well in advance what we will be doing and need to bring to each session.
The resources on the learning platform seem very good and are varied in format.
My tutor is clearly very experienced in the industry. He spoke to each of us during the session to find out our levels of experience and has asked us to think about how he can help us advance, particularly those of us that have existing skills.

I’m doing an online course. The tutors are very helpful and I’m really enjoying it so far. Would definitely recommend.

The curriculum of the course is very challenging but at the same time gives you a courage and provides you with the great opportunity to get the knowledge and skills to become a successful fashion designer. The tutors are very knowledgeable and helpful (especially mine - Patricia Gomes! :))

Love being able to learn in such a flexible and creative way. Thoroughly enjoyed first part can't wait to carry on with my next assignment.

Overall a well structured course with an insight into the fashion world. Online learning where you can submit work when it suits you. Quick feedback received and assessment guide to support your future development. The help questions relating to each assignment would be beneficial if they were kept in a separate area for those on the certificate and the diploma as this can become confusing at times. Very interesting course.
