The hosting I've had with FatCow has been reliable. There have been no issues with the speed and uptime.

However, I've found their control panel cumbersome. Sometimes you'll need to reload pages just to get information that you'd expect to be loaded instantly and other such issues. cPanel would be better.

I also had some issues setting up the account and there was no information anywhere on the site as how it should be set up (MySQL.)

However, I was happy to stay with them and not take the time to move domains, files etc. But today I have just got an email requesting payment for almost three times the original package price. This is two weeks after it was actually due; I never got an email telling me it was time to renew. This is about 40% of what I am paying for a 32GB dedicated server with OVH - for a cheap reseller package. I was previously with HostGator, which was about the same price as FatCow, but without the upsell.

So I will be moving elsewhere and it is unlikely I could ever be drawn back, with such predatory pricing schemes.

They dont have email support!
They dont provide ssh or telnet services! (not sure about ftp)
They wont answer your support tickets purposely so you'll be forced to buy their fast support service for $15/month.
Their support doesnt understand simple English. I asked them to install a Perl module and they gave me a list of all current modules. Then i asked for it 3 more times and still nothing was installed and they kept saying things which have nothing to do with it.
They agreed to give me back all the money because their support couldnt help me and then only refunded 30%.

My friend Steve referred me to this company and to my pleasant surpass the service matched the hype. Thanks to my friend and thanks to Fatcow. Now Ill be referring.

I used Fatcow.com to purchase two web doimans and I use many of their additional services to manage my site. They offer THE BEST customer service, hands down. You can chat 24/7 with a live representatvie. I have done this doznes of times, and always received prompt response and a resolution to my problem. If the chat representative cannot assist you, they will open a support ticket for your problem to be resolved. Most of my issues were resolved in less than 2 hours. I wish every site I dealt with had this type of service. I don't think I will ever change my domain host. From allt he freebies they give me, to the constant support and assistance, it gets no better than this.
