Think twice about buying!

If there was a time to give a no star, this would be it. I’ve ordered a few pieces from Fingercomber, no issue with the items. However, this last unit purchased was HORRIBLE! This wig looks as if it was made from trash bag material, but it was super hard. I’d requested a refund, their customer care service asked me why, I told them just as I described and they never replied again. I’d reached out again…crickets. Your items are not cheap, but you distribute less than quality products, you should really consider improving your products, because with this junk you produce, you’re company is not going to last to much longer. Signed, Very Disappointed Buyer!

Not the wig I ordered

The wig they sent me look nothing like the wig I ordered. Their wigs are pretty expensive for synthetic, and they look so good online however it's all deception. Trust me, I've ordered from them once about 10 years ago and had the same issue, I thought they may have changed by now but no improvement. I still got a crazy wig and they were not open to giving me a refund. I had to go back and forth with them, and I eventually got some of my money back. But word to the wise I cannot recommend this brand at all! I wish I could include photos so you could see how crazy the wig looks!

Awful

Awful. They sent me a wig that looked like either someone wore it for 10 years or it wasn’t done properly. Customer service was absolutely awful. They sent me a video to tell me how to wear the wig 🤦🏾‍♀️ when i said they wig is messed up and even sent them a picture they said no refunds nd they sent me another wig 🤦🏾‍♀️ the other wig is sooo small it cannot fit my head. You want to support black business but then they screw their own people over. Save your coins.

product is good but poor assistance and follow through

I twice from them ordered from them in 2018 with until date I have not received one of the orders as yet. I had not found the platform to be able to give my review. They were not helpful at all when I asked for a follow up contact with a local courier they did not have any information until date I am still waiting for a follow up from Lindsay in regards to this purchase. I then ordered another set of wigs and finally received those and i have had those for years now and the original fingercomber with the twist is very good to wear as a twist out and or in a twist it still looks good!

Would give this 0 stars

Would give this 0 stars. They charge real hair prices but I was willing to overlook that because I prefer synthetic due to less maintenance. Recieved a unit that looks NOTHING like what was advertised. Do NOT believe the influencers or what you saw on YT. They will give you whatever they have in stock and will NOT offer to exchange. You've been warned.

Sizing is terrible

I’m giving 2 stars because I received exactly what I ordered. The unit was beautiful and soft but extremely too small. There is no way that unit could be used as a full wig on someone with a large head or with a lot of hair. I read reviews and saw videos of others using them and thought it would be okay. I keep my own hair cut low but know I have a larger head. It’s just sad that I feel like I threw away money on something that I have no use for and can’t return.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the third time in five years that I’ve ordered a “ wig” from this company and Everytime they have sent me something that looks like a preschool craft project. The first two times I gave them the benefit of the doubt but this is a pattern. THIS is their business model. There website says NO REFUNDS. $115 I spent on something I can’t use. In this economy? Never again.

They did ship it to me in like 4 days. I paid $15 extra for a pinch of salt ( grey hair) to be added to the wig. There was one gray hair and it fell out when I touched it. You can see through the wig. The hair is thin and sparse. There’s no wig cap. Hair is attached to this spider web type contraption that my fingers fall through as I try to hold it. I saw a video online from their own employees about how the Pinch of salt would look on the wig I ordered and it’s nothing like what they delivered to me. I have no idea what I’m suppose to do with this other than throw it at people for screams this Halloween.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. The unit I purchased only lasted me one night. The material used is cheap. Customer service was also terrible. The maintenance instructions that come with the unit are a joke. I had high hopes for this company but I will never purchase again.

Do Better or Shut the Door!

Look Fingercomber (located in Malvern, PA) up in the Better Business Bureau ratings and see what you see. I truly am a minority business supporter but if the “Luuve” customer service only sends an auto acknowledgment to customer inquiries but thereafter could care less, then “it is what it is, and ain’t what it ain’t”… I do, however, appreciate & respect the Fingercomber owner’s recent public (TV, black media networks) response to the comedian “Whitney’s” Fingercomber wig falling off mid-sentence as shown on YouTube; a beautiful wig by the way! Beautiful wigs but DO BETTER with customer satisfaction!!! I’ve been buying quality “units” for many years with this company but recently I had a simple question about a recent purchase that’s taking 2-3 weeks to answer!

No Good Service Product not like pic

I bought a wig for over $200 my first expensive wig and reached out to them and they did nothing I love the look of their product but do not like their service at all. The wig was not like the picture I wanted to exchange sent them a pic and never got a reply once they reached to me the first time, I complied and sent them the pic and never heard from them again, no offer of exchange or discount off or anything. Customer service is horrible. Date was 4/9/2020 should have written a review back then but since I see that others are complaining may as well put mine in too!!

Less than 1 star, RUN!

I wish there was a star less than 1 because Fingercomber has earned it. I bought 3 units for over $300. 2 straight out the box were terrible. I immediately contacted them and I got no response for a month, after several emails as there is no number. I tried through social media with no luck. They finally responded with “try spray water on it or putting water on your finger tips to remove all the residue” that was on it when it arrived. The hair quality is VERY VERY Poor. After wearing the 3rd one twice, it lost its curls in most of the hair and matted. This is aweful!

Hair Wigs Construction is Inconsistent, Bad Customer Service Shrouded in Mystery

After giving Finger Comber multiple tries, I found their wigs to be very inconsistent. You could order the same wig 10 times and it will come out 10 different ways, hit and miss over and over. 40%-50% of them are a disappointment. Half of the time it's thin and you can see through it, other times its too full, then when they get it right it's perfect. The shaping constantly changes, and sometimes is so choppy between transitions of layers that it looks terribly fake like synthetic baby doll hair. There is no quality control to ensure a consistent experience with there wigs and the dont seem to care about it at all!

I last ordered the Natural Journey Goals unit, seemingly the most popular unit, and this time it had soooo much bulk up top it just stood straight up!! I mean straight to the sky, not just fluffy or big, but bad construction of tangly old baby doll hair right at the front of the wig. It was nothing you could do to push it down or lay it down, it was unwearable. The white stuff at the ends were flaking right out of the box and it was just awful...and Im a person who can make anything work! But I couldn't make this wig work.

I reached out to customer service and they take forever to answer all the time and just deny everything. Anytime I've reached out they took no accountability for their mistakes, she (I'm assuming its a she) just denied, denied, denied. She clearly doesn't understand business or care about anything but money. They/she doesn't align with the customer is always right and that is why Finger Comber will stay right where it is and NEVER become truly successful. Eventually, your demise will come after scamming so many women and taking no accountability for anything that you've done.

The mystery of no one being able to figure out who owns this place, where they come from is so telling. They are literally hiding from the public, and something is wrong with that in a major way. I could not figure out who the founder was, they claim black owned but will not give their name or any information about themselves which is not typical of black founders. The customer service is not just awful, but dishonest and them not showing their face really shows you that they know what their doing and how shady they are. Someone should do an investigation to force them out of hiding and to confront the bad business tactics, its surely why they're hiding. I also would bet my bottom dollar that the synthetic hair fibers are full of unhealthy chemicals and they say nothing about the background of where this hair comes from or what it's made of. All of it is shrouded in mystery and its wrong. They deserve a class action lawsuit. If everyone came together and sued them, it would be a win hands down. Stay away from them yall.

I only wish I’d read these reviews…

I only wish I’d read these reviews first. I spent £260 equivalent of around $360 with customs tax to ship to the UK I was fooled by insta and the great imagoes they post. These wigs especially was so poorly made. Big steps not layers meant I had to hack it to pieces to try and even it out and now it’s a short bib. Not what i wanted. I could have made better myself. The wig cap would fit a child not an adult. I wanted to support them but they’ve done themselves no favours. I really hope customers in future go to trust pilot. I’ve learned my lesson the hard way.

This is NOT a reputable company!!!

This is NOT a reputable company!!!! Do not purchase anything from them! They send you crap, you can't even call it a wig. It will be cheap looking, barely any hair, ill fitting. I paid 90.00 and feel completely ripped off. I bought through PayPal, made a dispute and still haven't got any money back. I repeat run away from this company. You'll regret any purchase.

Unhappy with wig so I sent it back. This is what happened next...

I'm a customer in the UK and I ordered a wig from Fingercomber. When the unit came, it was thin and the texture looked nothing like the image on the site. I complained to them and they offered me a restyle of the wig which is not beneficial as the wig looked NOTHING like the image on the site. No hope that a restyle would make things better and it would take too long to send it back from the UK for this service. I wanted a use-able wig NOW.

So I asked them for store credit in exchange of sending the wig back for a completely different unit. They agreed that that was "fair".

So I sent the unit back in June 2021 and I heard nothing back from them. I kept emailing them and they finally responded to say they would look for the return.

It's now Dec 2021 and I kept emailing them to ask for my store credit and to see if they'd received the unit return. No answer for 6 months.

I DMd them on Instagram with no response. So I went in their comments section on Instagram to ask someone to get back to me about my complaint. They blocked me.

So now I'm out of pocket, wigless, with zero store credit. Oh, and blocked

I'm flabbergasted and I feel I've been robbed. If their wigs were consistent with what they actually list on their site, none of this would have happened.

There seems to be zero quality control and ZERO customer service.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

This is a company that misleads customers, sends them cheap substandard, and not as described products.
With zero protective packaging, and I mean zero, no hair net, no dustbag, literally a cardboard box and then refuses to refund customers who clearly have recieved a disservice.
How disgusting, and from 1 black business owner to another, shame on them.
Imagine making a living STEALING from the same customer base you are supposed to be supporting.
Fingercomber are an embarrassment.
Shameful , Dishonest and Disgusting company. Please save yourself the upset and disappointment.

Disappointing

For the price of this kinky wig, I really expected it to look just like the website. It ships in a small box wrapped in tissue paper with no net or bag to keep the hair together. The overall quality of the wig seems low and the weft really showed through no matter which angle I put it in. There are big gaps in so a wig cap would show. It would take a lot of work and adjustments to make this wig wearable and you would need to leave hair out to make it work. It's not ready to wear out of the box. This is supposed to be a tapered bob so the shape is very important but it looks nothing like the photos and its also not very full. I noticed from youtube reviews that the same wig looked very different in each video, it doesn't seem like they make it the same each time.

The hair is also way too light and fluffy so even if you can style it into a decent shape it doesn't stay in place and clearly has a waxy product in it. Overall incredibly disappointing for the price
