Once we had chosen our wood burner (lots of useful advice from James) the date for the fitting and installation followed swiftly.
The fitting was superb, both guys were on time, polite and efficient and left no mess. Everything was cleared away.
We are very pleased with both the service given and our new wood burner.

From start to finish, professional service. After checking out various options we settled on Fire Designs. We were guided by James and decided to
use his team to install an integral fireplace.
The fitters arrived Matt and Callum.
They promptly installed a lintel and
opened up the fireplace. The fire was completed and
plastering of the surround finished. We could not have
wished for better service. Highly recommended.

FireDesigns at Wellingborough was the very first place I checked log burners. The main reason I wanted to get this done by them is that they are based locally in Wellingborough. I checked the log burner installation with a few other places only because they didn't have appointments last year. However, finally, I chose to get it done by FireDesigns this year (2023).

Price:

Prices are very reasonable. The detailed quotation I got from FireDesigns was very clear to understand. The overall cost was almost similar to the other quotation and consistent with prices that people discussed over UK log burner chat Facebook groups. However, I believe that anyone can get an expensive Log Burner product installed by FireDesigns for the same amount of money that they would spend with another company. Any price quotation includes a portion for the products (what they would ultimately leave at your house) and another portion for the labour. I got a Charlton & Jenrick - Fireline Woodtec 5, which is a beautiful-looking and more expensive product for the same/similar overall budget compared to other quotations I have seen. Therefore, if you see a good design/burner in their showroom you won't have to check with many parties for price quotations.

The range of stoves/products:

I am not an expert in choosing log burner products, so I mainly considered the aesthetics, the dimensions of all the products and the output of the stove. Once I saw the range of products they had, I honestly couldn't find any other better-looking products to replace the level of expectations I set in my mind.

The service:

The staff is very friendly, honest and responsive in communication. They helped me understand the details of the products that I must look for and more especially to understand what I would pay for. Therefore, I was very clear about what I needed, what I wanted and the essentials that I must consider. Whenever I had a question or needed to change appointments, I could easily communicate by email and I always got responses to those promptly. The installation process was very neat and smooth. There was a very minimum amount of dust since they used a proper dust extraction system and because of the order, they executed each task. I was working from home at the same time taking video calls and I was not disturbed by any work. The installation of everything took less than 2 days and they cleaned the entire area of work before they left leaving a very nice fireplace. 

This was an excellent experience overall with absolute peace of mind. Unfortunately, many businesses in the UK don't deliver that customer experience these days. But, this is a business/company that you can trust for it!

We've recently had a Fireline FA5W multi fuel fire installed. Great job done by the team. It took a day to complete and I was dreading the mess! I needn't have worried, they cleaned up after every step of the way and left a clean and tidy room. The fire looks fantastic, we now feel ready for winter. Thank you so much, we highly recommend them.

Great service all round from Fire Designs. James helped us choose the right wood burner and communication was first class throughout.
Installation was carried our superbly (on the hottest day of the year!). Matt and his colleague were meticulous throughout and gave a thorough explanation how to get the best our of it. No hesitation recommending these guys.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From initial showroom visit to installation; I felt confident with the informative and friendly members of this extremely competent team. Installation was over a two day period, and I was delighted with the end result ( a long held dream). It was exactly what I'd imagined and wanted!

We recently had a privilege of having a Burley wood burner installed into our home by Fire Designs. From my initial phone call exploring options to the finished installed woodburner, the process couldn't of been more of a breeze. The work was carried out to a high degree of professionalism and we couldn't be happier with the work that has been completed. We would definitely recommend their services to anyone thinking of having a fireplace installed.

FIRE DESIGNS - Wellingborough Showroom.

I’d spent some time researching multi fuel stoves and who to install mine for me and short listed my search to three companies. After careful consideration I decided on Fire Designs as they gave me the most confidence to put my trust in them.

I did have to wait a long time due to demand but the engineers turned up on the day I was told they would.

Simon and his team of two arrived and got to work immediately and efficiently laying dust sheets down from the front entrance to the fireplace covering all my furniture in the process, dust extractor to minimise dust in the room. Everything was well organised from, all materials required, removing the old fireplace, the cherry picker to drop the flue liner down the chimney to stove and fittings.

The work took two days (as planned) and has exceeded my expectations I couldn’t be more delighted. After all the work had been completed Simon spent another 25 minutes demonstrating my stoves capabilities. It’s a refreshing change to be able to deal with a company who does what it says on the tin and I’d have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else!

Roll on the winter when I can put by stove through its paces!

We’ve had our log burner installed by Fire Designs recently and it’s made a world of difference. The installers were super friendly and helpful. We totally recommend Fire Designs for their top-notch service and fantastic fireplace solutions!

From the moment we stepped into the Wellingborough showroom we received friendly and excellent service. The advice, survey and final installation were all expertly undertaken and included a short practical demonstration at the end. The time from order to installation was perhaps a little longer than we had hoped for due to the amount of business they were doing but it was most certainly worth the wait. I couldn't recommend James and his team any higher.

Simon and his colleagues transformed our sitting room this week. The work done was to an excellent finish, they take a real pride in their work and making sure the implemented design is what we wanted. Not only that but they brought dust covers and protective sheets to cover our downstairs and left on each of the three days with the area really clean and tidy.

It was really hot this week but despite that Simon spent probably 45 minutes after the install talking us through the fire, how to burn wood, maintenance and so on. It’s this sort of customer service that really makes the difference. We are thrilled with the result and would recommend Corby Fire Designs 100% at doing an excellent job from the ladies in the showroom to the installation team, very impressed.

From start to finish we were kept informed about our booking. The team arrived on time and did an amazing job. Kept everywhere, as clean as they could, covers on all furniture and carpets. Looks fantastic and can't wait to use it
