I had an appointment in the morning to get 2 new tires for my fronts. I got there 10 mins before my 11am appointment. They didn't get to my car until around 1230p. Which is absolutely ridiculous. I ge... See more

Terrible customer service experience…
Terrible customer service experience big rip off scam beware beware beware!!!!!
I did an oil change and tire rotation…
I did an oil change and tire rotation at this branch. After the service, I started experiencing a noise when I went past a speed of 50 mph. Within a couple of days, I drove back to Firestone to report the issue. The mechanics reviewed the oil change level and told me that everything was perfect, assuring me that the oil change and tire rotation would not cause this issue. However, I insisted that the issue was present and asked them to at least sit in the passenger seat to identify the problem. They then told me that the noise was due to a bearing issue coming from the front wheel.
I scheduled an appointment with the car dealership since my car is under warranty, hoping that the bearing replacement would be covered. The dealer checked it thoroughly and identified that during the tire rotation, the Firestone mechanics had interchanged the rear-side cupping with the front side. There was no bearing issue, and the noise was due to the Firestone mechanics' mistake. They recommended replacing the tires because of this.
I am totally unhappy about this. Firestone should have identified the issue when I brought the car back the second time. This shows the incompetence and lethargy of this Firestone branch. When I went back to Firestone, instead of acknowledging their mistake, they offered me a few credits and made me pay $152 for the front tire replacement.
This entire experience was a total mess created by them and is ridiculous. I would not recommend this store to anyone.
I've been going to them for years since…
I've been going to them for years since I bought tires for my jeep and had a good experience. Since then they screwed me over around every corner. Replacing a tire is about 300 -400 after labor and tax. If a tire can be patched that's saves you a ton of money.
A) they told me I had a nail in my sidewall that couldn't be patched. (Fair I saw it in my tried but there could have been a second one)
B) I bring my wife's car in for a flat. The invoice says "flat repair patch-plug". Good thank your Firestone, 6 months later it's flat again I bring it back to Firestone they tell me they can't find the leak because it's filled with fix-a-flat now I need a whole new tire. I brought it to a shop paid and waited an hour so it could be fixed right. If I wanted to full it with slime I could do that in my driveway. Now the labor costs for a new tire are going to have to include scraping that crap out of tire.
You can't trust any shop. I brought it to meineke they said they patched it and sent me home and it was flat in a hour. I'm sure they have good tech that work there but I haven't found any. Any other shop I go to can't be worse than here they can only be as good or better.
The guy behind the counter Elijah helped as much as he could he was professional and helpful. I've just had too many bed experiences here.
Crummy Service Not Worth It!
Took my vehicle in on July 6th Firestone in Spring, TX (Champion Forest & Louetta) because my left rear tire pressure light was on. A mechanic claimed to have "patched" a leak. I came in and set for 3 hours for a tire patch. Unfortunately, the tire pressure light continued. I could not bring the vehicle back because of Hurricane Beryl power outages in the area over the following week. The service I received was subpar with men who exuded chauvinistic attitudes toward fixing a car that belonged to a female. They did not seem to give a damn about fixing it right the first time. I believe instead of patching the leaky tire, they simply aired it up intead. This could have been dangerous, had I evacuated and been on the highway out of town (which is what I informed them I may need to do). The services have declined substantially over the last several years.
Incompetent
I’ve been to the Firestone in Raleigh NC, on Glenwood Avenue. Never go there. I took the car there because it was having issues cranking. They told me that it was normal for all cars over twenty years old. They were wrong. I took it to NTB, and the problem was the coil packs. I ended up paying $140 for an incorrect diagnostic. They refused to take responsibility. Another time, they told me my fuel pump need to be replaced, after installing the pump myself, it turned out to be the fuel injectors. Again I spoke with the service manager, to no avail. I wasted my time and money because of their incompetence. Instead of compensating me, they offered me a discount on tires I don’t need. Horrible experience.
Useless Firestone Reps.
June 24, 2024, representative who scheduled firestone tire installation for Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 11 O'clock at Miramar Firestone Service. Spoke to him between 5:37PM to 5:41PM on Monday so assumed was getting tires installed. According to him there where 5 tires at the time. Arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled and lady rep. had no idea who was scheduled for the 11 o'clock appointment as a matter of fact she mentioned there was no appointment scheduled for me.
Between the lying person who called on Monday June 24 and the person who supposedly checks customers in was as clueless as they come. Never return to this substandard establishment with lying personnel who work for Firestone at Miramar auto care. Plus I wasted about a quarter of a tank of gasoline for nothing. Only one person was waiting for a vehicle and they were not even close to busy. Keep up the bad work Firestone!
This store will sell you services you don't need
This store will sell you services you don't need, and then they won't stand behind their service when they do something that causes your car issues.
I brought my car in at 68,000 miles, and they told me I needed new spark plugs. I didn't know at the time that spark plugs were supposed to last 100,000 miles. And a mechanic was telling me I needed it, so I listened. 8,000 miles later, the end of a spark plug (that this Firestone installed and told me I needed) broke off into the 4th cylinder because a technician tightened it too much, and the end of the spark plug cracked. I drove around for ~8k miles before the spark plug finally broke off, and now it has ruined my engine.
So, I wouldn't even be in this position if they A) wouldn't have sold me a service I did not need for another 33,000 miles and B) if the technician would have done their job correctly.
My dad is a mechanic and worked at the highest-grossing (and privately owned, aka, not corporate) Firestone in North America for over 20 years as their head mechanic. One reason they were the highest grossing is that people from all over our state would come BECAUSE my dad is an honest man and because he wouldn't sell someone something they did not need.
I would not recommend this Firestone location to anyone, knowing what I know now.
I am also a woman, and the woman at the front desk said to me, "Maybe you can talk to your dad and he can explain it in a way that you can actually understand." I know I am a woman, but I am not an idiot. I have a degree in Physics and understand mechanics very well. I also understand that something can crack, but it won't actually break until enough force has been applied over time. Again, I wouldn't be in this situation if I wasn't sold a service I did not need.
I have had issues with this store before, but because it was "under new management," I decided to give it another try.
After they came "under new management," they installed windshield wipers wrong; when I went to use them while it was raining, the rubber part flew off, and then the plastic part scratched my windshield. They also forgot to reset my oil life (I thought maybe they didn't change my oil, but I checked it and they did). And they have not rotated my tires before and claimed they did. I know they also have to reset the tire sensors, but they didn't even rotate them, and I knew that because of a mark I put on one of my tires.
Another thing I think people should know:
A corporate Firestone works like this: a mechanic recommends replacing x fluid. Then the person upfront will type that into the software, and the software will give them a bunch of other recommended services related to replacing fluid x, to add to your ticket. So now your mechanic only recommended "replacing x," but the person upfront (who earns commission) will also tell you, "You need a flush of x as well." So now, you think you need this done in conjunction. Now let's add another layer: mechanics and technicians work on a set estimated time per service; a.k.a., billed labor time. So, for this fluid replacement, the mechanic only gets paid for their labor time. If a service takes longer than the set standard, the person doing the labor doesn't get paid for the extra time. So there is this value system that has been cultivated in corporate Firestone that ends up being mutually beneficial between the person upfront and the person in the back. This also drives up how much the store itself makes. All of which screws over the customer for the benefit of a billion-dollar company. You may want to say, "But at least the employees are also benefiting." Let's do a thought experiment on that:
Remember how I said my dad ran a non-corporate Firestone, and it was the highest-grossing location in North America for 20 years? Well, they didn't do things the corporate way. They paid their technicians, mechanics, and service members fairly, and it cultivated a team of awesome professionals who wanted to do right by the customer. They were not incentivized to screw over the patron. Thus creating trust and community, and that is EXACTLY the reason that this store was as successful as it was.
Corporate Firestone ended up purchasing that Firestone, and they implemented the "corporate way" of doing business, and within the year, it was no longer the Firestone it was. My dad ended up leaving because he hated screwing people over. He opened up a shop and took all of his loyal customers with him, and he is now the proud owner of an amazing shop with loyal customers across state lines.
SCAM ALERT!
Downloaded your coupon for the $29.99 oil change, valid through 06/30/24. Scheduled an appointment. Showed up on time to the N. May Avenue shop in OKC. Was then told by the counterman that (per his unseen boss) the coupon was no good for my 2006 F-150. For some unknown gobbled-gook reason. The cost would now be $79.99. Declined and took my business elsewhere. Did not want to reward your dishonesty. I don’t appreciate being scammed like this and plan on telling others about my experience.
Bait n switch! Don’t fall for it!
They advertise online tires for my car for $73 (the website shows 5 available). I called to make sure they could take me today, and they could, so I came in (on a barely drivable tire), and they said they only have tires for $138 a piece.
It's funny because also on the website, it shows that they have $88 tires that would fit my car and that they have 4 in stock. But now that I'm here at their mercy, since my tire will not make it anywhere else, it looks like I'm about to pay nearly double what I had anticipated.
I have no choice since my tire will not make it elsewhere. I wouldn't have come here if they didn't lie online about their pricing/availability, but now I'm stuck paying almost double.
WORST experience I’ve ever had
WORST experience I’ve ever had at a tire or mechanic shop, and maybe any business ever! Do NOT go here! The “manager“ Jason was one of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with in a professional business. There was no accountability or responsibility. There was no way to rectify the situation and he literally denied doing anything wrong to the point of he just does not care what happens to your vehicle! I brought my wife’s Mercedes into have four tires put on and left with the entire air suspension system, broken on my car and the car undrivable , grease all over the dashboard the wheels all put back on the wrong wheel and a broken car with all of the dials and dash system changed. It cost me $1100 for four tires and they broke the car to where it couldn’t even be driven, and then said they didn’t.
What kind of tire changing business even know how to lift a car properly that has air suspension and whether to turn it on or off.? Now I am left with a car that cannot be driven and I have to take it to another mechanic to have it fixed for thousands of dollars of damage caused by fire stone, and they literally do not care . When I took it to the mechanic down the street from them to have it fixed, he said that that was usual and they fixed fire stones mistakes all the time and literally have had to replace entire motors and wheels and tires from the shotty work. The people that worked on my wife’s car acted as though they had never changed the tire before and looked like they had not been to sleep in days. I will do everything I can to make sure the management and the employee of this establishment Do not do this to anyone else’s vehicle in the future.
I had no idea this is how they treated women that come in to get tires put on their car after they break their car. They just bully them into saying they didn’t do anything wrong and then you’re stuck with a broken car. My wife made the appointment and showed up on time early in the morning like they said with $1100 for four tires. They took an entire day to change four tires with no other customers there left grease everywhere ruined the car broke the air suspension and didn’t even do the alignment. And then want us to come pick up the car and have it repaired somewhere else at our expense. This is the worst business ever. Fire stone is literally living off of their name that they built from the boomer generation. But what fire stone stand for now is a complete rip off and bad work. Take your tires and your car anywhere else in this town other than fire stone Sarasota stinkney point fl
Waited over 3 hours for nothing!
I have been going to Firestone since I started driving in 1996. I have never had any issues until I came to this store at 2522 S Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916. I had booked an appointment with this Firestone to get some brake work done while I wait in the lobby because I was hearing a grinding noise in the back when I would brake. It started out fine, I was the only person waiting in the lobby waiting for my car. They put my car in the air and took the wheels off. They said I needed rear brakes and rotors and that the guy was actively working on my vehicle and another at the same time. I told him okay and that I was going to walk across the street to eat lunch. After lunch, I came back and it still wasn't done. I sat down and watched the news in the waiting room. After I was there for about 3 hours, the guy asked if I was in a hurry and I said that there was somewhere I had to be but that this was more important and that I would wait till this was done. About 10 minutes later, he came in and told me that they were not going to be able to work on my vehicle today (after telling me that they were already working on it) and that I would have to come back some other time. It was only 2:10pm at that point. So instead of calling me and cancelling my appointment or even letting me know when I got there that they couldn't work on it that day, they wasted over 3 hours of my time on my only day off. Then, the worker tried to charge me on top of that for a "Car Care Package" that I never asked for. I told him that there was no way I was paying for a service I never asked for and especially after wasting a lot of my Saturday. He threatened to call the police if I didn't pay until he noticed I was video recording him. I did report it to corporate and I really hope they do something about it so nobody else has to go through this. I won't ever give this store my business again!!
8 hours to install 4 tires
In the past I've typically had decent service. Called yesterday to find out how much it cost to install 4 new tires. I was told $25 per tire by Berry. Since I just received an email that would give me $15 off per $100 spent if I use my card, I schedule an appointment for this morning. Drop vehicle off at 1030 am, and it takes EIGHT hours to put on four tires...EIGHT hours! I call 6.5 hours in and talk to Aaron, and he's condescending and says the boss said he told me it wouldn't be done until 630pm. Why make an appointment for the morning and it take 8 hours to install 4 tires? Absolutely ridiculous. And, they will not let me use the $15 off coupon, they say the actual total is $98, so I can't use. Will definitely be reconsidering using Firestone moving forward. I get a call 25 minutes before close saying it's ready for pick up. Now we have haven't had a vehicle all day and now all night.
BEWARE!!!
BEWARE!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRESTONE!!! 11290 FL-82, Fort Myers, FL 33905
As I was fueling my F150, the gas pump kept shutting off like my tank was full. It took approximately 20 minutes to fill up. I did not think anything of it, contributing it to a gas pump that had too much pressure behind it. Truck was running fine, without any signs or symptoms of any issues. A day or two later, the check engine light illuminated. I took it to AutoZone and had them run a diagnostics test. The test revealed that I needed to replace a faulty fuel tank isolation valve. When I Googled the part/issue, I discovered that the gas pump shutting off like it did was a sign of that faulty part. The valve is on top of the trucks fuel tank and I did not have the means to do it on my own.
Being new to the area, I did not have a mechanic that I trusted. I decided to bring it to this Firestone since I have had good experiences at a different location in Dunedin, FL. I told the associate what the AutoZone test showed along with giving them a copy of the results. They ran their own diagnostics and called with the results, which did not include the part the AutoZone test revealed. When I questioned that, they assured me that their solution would fix the issue at a cost of $832.18.
When I picked up my truck a few hours later, the check engine light was off and it seemed to be running the same as before the repair, no signs/symptoms. I had to travel for work, so I didn't drive it for close to 2 weeks. When it was time to fuel up. I had the same issue with the gas pump shutting down. I brought the truck back to the same Firestone. I informed them that I felt like they didn't fix the original issue and sold me unrelated parts/repair. They ran another diagnostic test and it showed that the part listed on the AutoZone test (what I originally told them and showed them ) was the faulty one and that it would now cost over $1000.00 to repair. I feel that they just ignored the AutoZone test summary and sold me unrelated parts and repair. They failed to take responsibility and fix the issue without another cost to myself.
BEWARE OF FIRESTONE AUTO REPAIR! Brought my sports car in for a tire…
Brought my sports car in for a tire rotation which they refused to do but tried to sell me 4 new tires for 2,000.00. I said no but paid the 9.99 evaluation that stated my oil level was good but I received the car back with oil light on. The manager Tina Glidden checked the oil 6 times and said it was maybe a half quart low and sent me home. 1.6 miles later the car stalled. There was no oil in it and the drive blew up the engine. They refused to compensate me. I’m out over 10,000.00. They said they didn’t do an oil change, I said no you didn’t but someone drained the oil assuming I would buy the tires and get an oil change and drained the oil but never put any oil back before I left. Nobody will help me, it was my only vehicle. I had to quit my job and it’s still not fixed. This happened on June 3, 2023. Attorney General, news stations, BBB, and many others wouldn’t help me. Stay away from the Firestone store in Sahuarita/Green Valley,AZ. I am so devastated I can’t believe it and my life has not been the same since. They should be shut down and pay me what they owe me for their mistake. I have the proof that my oil level was good when I brought it in, but they won’t even talk to me, all the way up to corporate level. Shameful how they treated me, a senior living alone, just trying to take care of my car like I always have. It only had 49,000 miles on it and it was beautiful.
Run don't walk from this company
If I could rate this company with less than 1 star I would. I went to Firestone Complete Auto located on 2126 S Main Street in Wake forest, NC. On 4/14/2024 I contacted Firestone because one of my tires had been punctured by a nail. I have a 2018 Infiniti Q50 with 62,637 miles. I wanted to replace the tire, however, I decided to replace both rear tires. Once the rear tires were replaced I went to get into my car when I saw the emergency light come on saying "Warning low tire pressure". I showed the message to the mechanic Travis (I learned on a follow-up visit 5/11/24 is the manager) and he said it was not an issue, however, he drove my car around the lot three times insisting I may need to drive it around a few times before the warning would come off. After four days the warning came off but another tire pressure sign came on. I called and was told it was not an issue. However, on May 6th, 2024 my car would not start, I called my insurance company for roadside assistance and my car was jumped. On May 8th my car again would not start and I needed
another jump. I worked from home on May 9th. I was a little confused as I have a newer car and I have never left anything on in the car. Once jumped I was able to drive the car for a day and a half before I needed another jump. I had the battery tested at Advance auto care and saw for myself the battery, rotators, and gas pump were good. I was told to
take it back to firestone as my censor may have been damaged when I got my tires replaced at firestone. I contacted firestone and told them of the issues I had been having since having new tires installed and Travis had seen the initial warning after replacing my tires. I was told they would not have availability until Tuesday, May 14th, 2024. I informed the tech on the phone that I could not wait until Tuesday as my car was having issues and I wasn't sure how I would be
able to go and leave work. I then contacted firestone corporate office, I was hung up on by Jada after asking her to explain what happens when a file is created. I called back again and was asked by the next agent if during my call with the firestone location I received my tires from if I was offered the opportunity to speak with a manager. I informed her I was not offered an opportunity. She then contacted the store and informed them of my issues and told them the manager would need to speak with me. Upon my arrival to the store I noticed everyone had removed their name badges (they were all wearing badges when I brought in my car to get my tires replaced). I asked to speak with the manager when the tech I spoke to called out Travis' name, the mechanic that had placed the tires on my car. Travis
refused to come out to speak with me and no would provide me with their names. As some sort of joke they would repeatedly call each other by different names "Ken, Ted, etc. A mechanic then went out to my car without letting me know popped the hood and came back inside and told me it was battery and I would need to pay an additional $308.00 for an "AGM battery replacement". I reminded him I had my battery checked and I deemed in perfect condition. I then told him I would not be purchasing anything else from them and I wanted my keys back. It was at this point he asked me to sign on the electronic pad that my service issues had been resolved. When I refused to sign another tech not wearing a badge said "it just means we looked at the car". I told him I was not comfortable with that and requested the keys to my vehicle. I asked for names and still did not get that. However, on the paperwork given to me the techs
name is listed as Thomas Pleitz. The manager's name is Travis Evans, and the black guy that called himself Ken, Ted, etc., is Khalid Yasin. I obtained their name from the business cards they forgot to remove from the desks.
I always take my car to this location
I always take my car to this location, on El Camino road, because of the reliability of the diagnostic procedures before any work is done. Service Rep. Evan is extremely helpful in communicating the issues to the mechanics and diagnostic tech. Highly recommended.
Horrible
Horrible. I made an appointment 3 days prior for tires. TIRES!!! And an oil change. They don’t stock tires. The tires never came. They called me to tell me this. I said ok. I’ll come get the vehicle. Cancel everything. I get here 1 hour after the call and they decided to do the oil change. WHY!!!!?????? This place is horrible. NEVER AGAIN. Should’ve stuck to going to the small guy!!!! Corporate sucks. Do not shop here. Especially the one in Elmwood Park.
The destroyed my call and told me to bug off
Brand new tires fell off the car when turning. My car is totaled, all because I chose the wrong tire shop. When I asked them to fix their wrong doing, they said the brand new tires that fell off could not have been their fault and that they would be glad to see me in court.
I don't usually make comments about an…
I don't usually make comments about an experience but this has to be said. Firestone Complete Auto Care State Street Saginaw, MI. I bought tires here November 24, 2023. Had intermitting problem with TPMS for what the car said was the right rear tire. After this stayed on all the time I took it in to get fixed January 31, 2024. There is a charge to fix these approximately $120. Mechanic went to the right front tire to work on it. I told them it is the right rear. They told me no it is the right front. Evidently when they put the new tires on they never reset the TPMS. Paid the bill and left everything fine. Now April 22, 2024 on my way home RED light on dash says PSI 10, PSI 7, PSI 4, PSI 0. Yes flat tire. Had portable air brought out to inflate and get home. Took right front tire off to check for hole. Couldn't find a hole, pressed on the valve stem and you could hear air coming out. Appeared the valve stem system was extremely loose. Called Kay on Morning of April 23, 2024 to let them know I was bringing the tire in to get fixed and I wasn't paying for it again. Had a 4 pm appointment. They broke the tire down and she brought me the TPMS and said well this isn't our TPMS and then another part of one that was rolling around inside the new tire they installed in November. She said we wouldn't have left this part rolling around in the tire and this isn't our TPMS so she wants to charge me again for it. She argued with me about it not being their TPMS. So I can only assume that she is so positive it wasn't theirs that they charged me for a TPMS but never changed it because they were working on that right front tire. Ended up taking the broken down half mounted tire and rim that they wouldn't fix to Discount Tire to get it fixed. Many many years of going there will not be going back. Manager Kay can't admit to a problem they had and just fix it and be done, has to lie and pretend I don't know what is going on with my car. Nobody has rotated tires or changed them, They were the only people who worked on it.
Forget Firestone Wappingers NY
I have been taking my car/ truck there for over 15 years. I booked an oil change and inspection a week earlier and showed up early. I waited over 35 mins and they still did not take my car in yet. They stated there was a lot of work they did not get to. Last time I waited 3 hours, not this time. I took my keys and left. Went to Nissan and they were done in one hour. When you book a week ahead of time you should do the work on time. Manager was rude and will never go there again.
