I visited the bank to move money around. It was done quickly and efficiently. One of the transactions was taking advantage of starting or adding to an existing CD in order to get a good interest rate.
The representative was friendly, extremely helpful, and engaging in conversation.

Rinsi was wonderful! She met us right at the door (expecting our appointment) and made us feel right at home. She helped us not only establish my membership, but also set up my husband’s accounts as joint, and even got him a brand new, updated debit card (which wasn’t even on his radar - she just offered!). She also let us know some of the promotional benefits that were running, but at no point did we feel pressured from a sales-perspective. She answered our questions and made sure that we were comfortable and clear with each step she took - including walking my husband over to see that his old debit card was appropriately disposed of. Absolutely would recommend!

I recently opened several accounts at First Tech Federal Credit Union ( at Bella Bottega brunch in Redmond, WA) and was impressed by the outstanding service I received. Glenice Griffin made my first CD and membership savings account opening seamless—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. A few days later, Rinsi Arora helped me open two more CDs, rewards savings account, and a checking account, providing excellent recommendations and making the process effortless. Both went above and beyond, and their professionalism and care truly reflect First Tech’s commitment to its members.

While people in the bank were very helpful, I felt misled by promotions for refinancing my personal loan and false promises of better rates that were supposed to save me money. The actual interest rate that was offered to me after the hard credit inquiry was nowhere near the promoted rate, or even the one that was discussed in the bank, despite my very good credit score. As a result, I ended up with a new loan where I am paying more in total than I was before.
