Very good communication and a swift…

Very good communication and a swift resolution. I bought a hibrid prybar about 2 years ago and unfortunately the deployment mechanism broke. When contacted Fiskers customer service went beyond what I expected, I sent two pictures and received an upgraded replacement in a couple of weeks.

Poor customer care

Don't bother to buy any Gerber (Fiskars owned) as Gerber's warranty is not worth the paper it's written on. After buying a Gerber Dime 6 months ago, used bottle opener for the first time. The botom tip broke off. Fiskars (Gerber) customer service refused to do anything. Amazon had to step in. So their limited 25 year warranty is a sham.They will do anything to wriggle out of it.

Saved hours...and pain

I have just bought a Fiskars Xact Weed Puller. It does the job extremely well.

I have deducted one star because the device is very expensive. Still, it has saved hours of otherwise bending and pulling out weeds with a small hand tool.

ADDED AFTER ORIGINALLY POSTING:
Actually, now, after using this tool quite a lot I am convinced it was well worth buying. I am adding back the fifth star!

Great customer service and solid products

About five years ago I decided to pay a bit extra and buy a Fiskars garden spade after years of cheap spades lasting only six months.

I've found the Fiskars spade to be very solid and feels very robust and well worth paying a bit extra.

A couple of weeks ago there was a fault with the spade so contacted customer services who were brilliant! They sent out a replacement within days without any fuss or problems.

One of the best customer I've ever dealt with! Thank you Fiskars.

3 Weeks Standard reply time to an enquiry!

I've always regarded Fiskars as a quality company..until today!

Sent an email to ask where to buy replacement blades as there don't seem to be any on the usual large shopping sites.

Got a holding email saying current response time is 15 working days, well given there is 5 working days in a week, that's 3 weeks!

If its taking you three weeks to reply to a simple customer enquiry you need to hire more staff!!!

This is the 3rd time.ive had to take…

This is the 3rd time.ive had to take this knife back to Bunnings Hardware. I have already take 2 back because the sliding mechanism that pushes the blade out has jambed and you cannot move it to get the blade out. This time I'll will be taken another one back because the sliding mechanism has jambed again and won't push up far enough and you just can't even get the blade at all. I've had $2 utility knives last longer. I have taken all due care with the last knife because i have already taken 2 back and it still jambs and wont slide to get the blade out. I think ill stick to buying 10 $3 knives, at least ill get more life span out of them. Don't know how they have a 4.5-5 star rating.

The guarantee really is a guarantee

Kitchen Devil knives is now owned by Fiskars. We have has a number of kitchen knives over the years and they are our preferred company for preparing fruit and vegetables. They offer a 15 year guarantee. we recently had a knife break at the handle and noted that another knife had rust stains on the blade. We sent an email with photographs to customer service and had a prompt response (the very next working day.) they immediately offered to replace both knives and sent them to us via UPS. Thank you Fiskars/Kitchen Devil

Customer service responses variable

Edit: I'm revising this review to 3* and hopefully higher following ongoing engagement with Fiskars (hopefully this just represented a blip for them)

Previous good reviews and of good customer service noted. However, I fear that Fiskars UK is now one of the many companies whose customer service has gone down the drain, and potentially my loyalty with it. I E-mailed them 2 weeks ago to ask about a long tree lopper with (yet again) a broken string, to help identify the model and to source parts. After a week a received a response which had no relevance to the question asked. I asked again -- and now no response at all. Poor customer serve equals a poor product - and potentially loss of a customer.

How customer service should be, Fiskars UK

I bought a pair of the Fiskars garden shears about 4 years ago at Dobbies Garden Centre in Dunfermline. They have been used throughout the summers of those four years and I found them to be amazing. They cut through just about everything and I was so disappointed when the plastic handle cracked. They still worked but could not take any pressure. I emailed Fiskars via their website to ask if I could buy a replacement sleeve for the handle. One of the things I like about the Fiskars shears is that they don't have ground down rivets but nuts and bolts holding them together so in theory I could have replaced the damaged part. I received a reply next day and unfortunately they could only supply replacement blades not the plastic handles. BUT as they had a lifetime warranty if I sent them a picture of the damage they would consider a replacement. Same speedy response after sending a picture and the promise of a replacement on its way. I have several other Fiskar tools which all perform impressively and after this example of how customer service should be I will definitely buy Fiskars again. Unfortunately no name on the email so can't give credit to an individual so we'll done the entire Fiskar's UK customer service team.

Superb products and service!

I am a fan of Fiskars products for my garden. I have axes, shears, spades, loppers, etc. Sadly, my Xact Weed Puller failed today; I only owned it since June 2019 and didn't use it much in 2020. This is the first time a Fiskars product has failed on me. I sent an e-mail to Customer Care explaining my problem and asked them for help. Five minutes later, I received an apologetic e-mail explaining how sorry they were for the inconvenience the failure caused. I was asked to send a photo of the damage together with my details. I duly supplied the photo and my address and awaited a reply. Two minutes later, another e-mail arrived saying a new one was on its way, direct from Finland! Wow! That is what I call customer service!

Superb Service

Small part broke on a pair of garden shears after a year of hard use. Sent a photo and asked if it could be replaced and what the cost would be. Two days later the item is in the post, no charge and no postage costs. Tremendous service. As has been said they may be a bit more expensive than some but this sort of service is worth its weight in gold.

Amazing customer service

Great gardening tools and amazing customer service. We had an issue with one tool. They had responded to my email within 24 hours and had the issue resolved in no time. They may be a bit pricier but it's well worth it in my mind.
