Avoid: Only trading on its name these days!
Once upon a time, USED to be great but quality & service has dropped and should be AVOIDED (both restaurant and cakes!):
Restaurant: Upon last visit, it took 20min to get a table for lunch and even then we were put on a shared table. Toon another 10min only to take our order and eventually when the food arrived, sadly it was of poor quality.
Cakes: I made the mistake of buying a whole coffee cake for a friend's BD (£18 for what is normally less than £10 in other stores) as I was assured its fresh and very tasty. I was embarrassed by how dry the cake was and 'lack of taste' was substituted its extra-sweet icing. Very very dissatisfied.
Overalls: As a Cambridge resident, in the past 13-years I have seen the sad deterioration in quality of this (once upon a time!) 'Institution'! I believe it is trading on its name and best to be avoided unless you want to taste disappointment!
