The platform is bloated with scam bots. And the biggest problem isn't receiving a lot of those messages, is that if you choose to not waste your time answering those bots you get your response rate lowered and consequently will get less chances to land a job. The platform simply don't care about it, they just want to sell their paid plans.

I am extremely disappointed with Fiverr’s handling of my account.

On March 29, 2026, I successfully completed identity verification using my original government-issued ID along with live facial verification. The system approved my verification without any issues.

However, on March 30, 2026, my account was suddenly suspended with the claim that my identity was “fake.” This is completely incorrect. I only submitted my genuine, original documents.

I immediately contacted Fiverr support, explained the situation clearly, and even re-submitted my original documents. I also offered to cooperate fully if any further clarification was needed. Unfortunately, Fiverr has not properly reviewed my case or acknowledged the authenticity of my documents.

It is very concerning that their system can verify an identity successfully and then suspend the account the next day without a fair investigation.

This has caused serious disruption to my freelance work and income.

I am simply asking Fiverr to review my documents properly and reinstate my account, as my identity is legitimate and not fake.

They cut a lot of fee,they are practicing modern slavery. 20% cutting from a freelancer and others fee have also exist.

I’m writing this out of pure frustration and honestly, pain. For the past 7 days, I’ve been trying everything possible just to access my own money ($1200). I kept sending emails, following up, waiting… hoping someone would actually help.

Instead, today I logged in and found out my account has been permanently closed. No resolution, no real explanation—just locked out while my money is still stuck.

This is not just about money anymore, it’s the stress, the sleepless nights, the feeling of being ignored while something that matters to you is just hanging there. It’s draining and honestly heartbreaking.

I have used Fiverr for several years across multiple projects and built strong, ongoing relationships with several artists on the platform. Until this point, my experience had been consistently positive.

My account has now been removed without any prior warning or clear explanation, while I was in the middle of organising a new project.

The only communication I received was from a no-reply email address. As my account is no longer accessible, I have no way to log in or contact customer support through normal channels. There appears to be no alternative route offered to users in this situation.

This means I have potentially lost access to paid work, project history, and ongoing collaborations — with no explanation and no clear route to resolve it.

For a paid platform to remove access in this way, without warning, transparency, or a functioning support pathway, raises serious concerns around fairness, accountability, and basic consumer expectations.

I am currently seeking clarification and will be exploring formal escalation routes if this is not resolved.

Until there is a clear and accessible process for users to recover accounts or obtain support, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.

FIVERR is about being shady at business. They mismanage your money, hit you with hard fees, even a tip to the artist- They RIP a 15% to 20% Fees on Tips. The work sucks and FIVERR doesn't give a hoot. I had to launch a charge back and formal complaint to protect myself from this predatory company. Don't expose yourself to their fraudulent bossiness. I do hope they fail.

I can't withdraw my money for a long time now, support is not doing their job, just ignoring me. Will never use it again and will 100% sue them.

I have been trying to complete my ID verification for over a month. Ticket #14391758 has been marked as 'solved' multiple times without anyone ever sending me the verification link. I have confirmed multiple times that I want to redo the verification and every time the conversation goes completely dead. I cannot start working on Fiverr because of this. The support is completely unresponsive and this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Here we are in 2026, and Fiverr still enforces a rule where the buyer can't verbally communicate with the seller during the project. This is only because they don't trust each party to keep the money flowing through their payment system only. On some projects, it's almost impossible to keep a project moving along efficiently without some form of verbal communication, and Fiverr still requires full payment in advance of the project's completion, even though they'll refund you if the project doesn't meet your satisfaction. I don't know how many times the project took more time because verbal communication between the parties wasn't allowed. This is message is for Fiverr. Since 2010, you've enforced this policy, so don't you think it's time to make a change? AI apps like ChatGPT have totally redefined the written process that you started, but they have enhanced it, whereas, you have just held on to it without any improvements. Coming from someone who's has used Fiverr for more than 50 projects over the years, I hereby proclaim that it is time for you to make a change. I would use Fiverr even more if you allowed communication between the buyer and seller during the project, especially if they are from the same country. There are many apps out there that use a proprietary form of external communication between two parties, like an internal dialing or texting system, which would still allow Fiverr to monitor, control and review what is said and done between the two parties. Wake up Fiverr, before time and technology passes you by!

Ran by bots. Lots of scammers will message you when you create a new gig, hoping you’ll press on the link. Never do that.

Got my account shutdown permanently, unable to appeal it. Will never be able to withdraw the money I did make (£40 after hours of labour 30 hours +)

I paid over €1,000 for a device through Fiverr and I NEVER received it. No product, no refund, no real support. This platform allows sellers to take your money and disappear without any accountability. I have been scammed and Fiverr has done nothing to resolve this issue. I got in touch with marketing specialist so he can improve my online store. He told me to make an account on Fiverr so I can pay him there. Everything was fine untill once out of nowhere I couldn't pay his offer. When I hit "Confirm & pay" button it always displayed "Unable to complete payment. Try a different payment method." But none of the methods worked. The next day I got email that said "Your account was permanently suspended due to violations of Terms of Service". All I did on the platform was that I was chatting with that one dude. When I reached out to customer support, they just repeated what was said in the previous mail. No further explanation, no inquiry on why it happened....

Fiverr isn’t what it used to be at all — the platform has seriously gone downhill over the years. It’s become extremely unfriendly to sellers, with little to no control over how they operate their business. Buyers seem to have all the power now, abusing things like unlimited revisions while sellers are left with no real option to refuse without risking penalties.

Even worse, when issues come up between a buyer and a seller, Fiverr doesn’t even try to properly investigate or hear both sides. Instead of reaching out to understand what actually happened, they often jump straight to harsh actions like restricting or even blocking seller accounts. It feels completely one-sided, unfair, and honestly frustrating for anyone trying to run a serious business on the platform.

⚠️ WARNING: Fiverr Scam – Lost €250 Through Fake “Verification.”

I want to warn others about a scam where fraudsters impersonate Fiverr and trick you into authorizing a payment.

Here’s what happened:

I was contacted by a so-called “Fiverr account manager” in chat.
They claimed I needed to “verify” my account to receive my first payment.
They asked me to confirm a bank push notification (3D Secure).
They clearly stated that NO money would be charged — only verification.

After I confirmed it:
👉 €250 was immediately debited from my account.

Then it got worse:

They claimed the money was “frozen”
They asked me to top up ANOTHER €250 to “unlock” and get a refund
They said I would get everything back + 20% bonus (classic scam tactic)

I am a seller with $720 in earnings locked in my account and my account closes TOMORROW.

My account was restricted after I lost my phone and requested a phone number change — a completely normal security action. Fiverr reopened my account specifically for withdrawal but the earnings page is still blocked. I cannot physically withdraw my own money. Their system created a loop they have refused to fix.

I completed their requested verification — email confirmation and security question — over 48 hours ago. Every single response I have received since has been a copy-paste template that ignores my actual situation entirely.

Tomorrow this account closes and $720 of my hard-earned seller income becomes inaccessible — not because of anything I did wrong, but because Fiverr support cannot send one real human response to a clear and documented case.

I have screenshots of my balance, the withdrawal error, and every ignored support ticket. I am posting this as a last resort because I have exhausted every private channel.

Fiverr — please contact me and resolve this today. This is my money and I am running out of time.

I had a very disappointing experience using Fiverr as a freelancer. The platform feels flooded with spam messages and potential scammers, while it’s extremely difficult to find real, serious clients.

Many messages I receive are vague, generic, and clearly not from genuine buyers. There seems to be very little effective protection or filtering against this kind of activity, which wastes a lot of time and creates constant uncertainty.

At the same time, getting visibility for legitimate services is challenging, especially for newer sellers. It feels like the system is not balanced in favor of freelancers who are trying to build real, honest work relationships.

Overall, the platform needs much stronger moderation and better protection against scams, as well as improved support for freelancers trying to find real clients.
