Your BDM Helen Mcnamara was extremely helpful in her advice and getting the application through to the mortgage offer.

Great criteria and often looking to lend. The team are always very helpful and can speak with underwriters when needed. The timescales are too long though and the document requirements could be streamlined.

Process to get an offer issued takes a long time and amount of documentation requested is way over what other lenders ask for unfortunately

On the occasions I have submitted business I have always Found the service brilliant

I had an application in for a client where a couple of things came up taking it outside of policy but with the support of our BDM Helen McNamara, the case was agreed as an exception and has now completed. It's great to be able to work with a lender that looks for solutions rather than just declining cases.

told dont ask for months and months of bank statements, but had to provide over 6 months for 6 accounts. Don't read their own deposit explanation form and then ask for information already held.

All the touch points were great, only small thing is you may need a little more resource.

Fleet have a very generous affordability calculations and flexible underwriting policy. They apply common sense discretion and you are contacted direct by telephone by an underwriter if the case needs further discussion, rather than via emails or a portal.

It was a pleasant surprise to receive a call from Fleet Mortgages this morning to pro-actively advise us that a new lower rate was available for one of our clients.

Whilst the task was already pencilled in on my "to do" list, its reassuring to see a lender reaching out with a view to saving the client 0.2% on their loan across the product term.

We have all been quick to dismiss & call out lenders for poor practices when increasing rates at short notice, so it only feels responsible to highlight the reverse too 👏
