Avoid like the plague!!!!!

purchased a LML star which I was assured was in good condition and good runner. On delivery, the scooter started, then died, delivery man said “ oh it’s because it hasn’t any fuel in it” which it had. It would not start again, meanwhile delivery man got in his lorry and did a disappearing act, and the passenger would not answer the phone.
I gave the battery a full charge, it started but ran very rough on the idle, and was kicking black soot out of the exhaust but it had apparently been serviced, I don’t think so!! I took it to a mechanic and he said there’s no way it’s been serviced, shown me photos of underneath the. Scooter which I was assured was solid . The centre stand is bent so won’t go up properly, and is rotting, the exhaust is a rusty as hell, underneath the scooter is rotting away and is covered in road salt. Oh and guess who blocked me and ignored my messages etc …. You got it!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!!
When I asked for photos of the scooter I was sent the decent parts of it so it looked “ ok” was told no rust or rot!!! Unbelievable.

Crap customer care

I bought a new Voge DSX500 from here.
At 2000 miles the right hand side handlebar switch malfunctioned. Things sometimes fail - it's no big deal.
What came next was a big deal for me.
I ended up paying parts and labour for fitting a new switch assembly.
It's not about the money.
I would never do business with an outfit that treats their customers so badly.
I sold the bike and bought a Suzuki.

AVOID LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT

My trike entered their premises in October 2023 with an overheating problem (of which they had already seen it 4 times for the same problem over the previous 2 years) and left in May 2025, on a trailer, with a seized engine! After over 30 visits and at least 30 phone calls I made the decision to get another garage to do the work. Even then it took Flintshire Motorcycles over 4 months to get the trike to the new workshop.

The staff from the receptionist to the owner, Mr. ‘I’ve got more personal problems than jack Frost’, are all incompetent. The only staff training appears to be preached from the book of ‘that was someone else’s job, not mine’! At least all the staff are consistent in their style of blaming someone else, from the top down. Please do not ask me about their former mechanic, who came to my house to ask me to change my review after he left/sacked. He has no integrity and when he reads this will know why. When you talk to other bikers or workshops they all have a story about Flintshire Motorcycles and none of them are positive. If only one person has read this far and takes their bike somewhere else then I will be happy. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
